@@dormin2749 By killing the original Gestalt, two things happen. 1. Relapsing is a phenomena that all Gestalts save for the Original are vulnerable to that makes them mindless and lose sentience. This relapsing ties with number 2. 2. Replicants are infected with the Black Scrawl when a Gestalt is relapsed. Furthermore, Replicants (which are basically artificial humanoids which cannot reproduce) rely on the Replicant System to read the genetic code of a Gestalt to produce more Replicants. When a Gestalt relapses, this can no longer be done. With the death of the last Gestalt in 4198, the Replicant system could no longer create any more Replicants and thus humanity perished.

Yes, it is definitely worth going for. You'll need to play the game and kill Hook again, then the story path will diverge in an unexpected way. It's totally worth experiencing
Wait so All of the save files will be erased, that means I can't just create a separate file? Is there a way to move my file to somewhere else as a backup
Just start a new profile after getting ending d and replay the game. You can just skip the dialog and cutscenes and eventually you get to route E. You'll know when you do
A bit late, but according to the lore, there is no explanation on how Tyrann was even able to do that. Some speculated that perhaps the fight with Shadowlord allow him to absorb some of the power and let him utilize that power, but that doesn’t really added up since even the Shadowlord hasn’t been able to reverted the Shades that has gone Gestalt, so it wouldn’t make much sense that Tyrann is able to. Another explanation is one linked from another universe that’s connected to Nier, Drakengard, since the magics in Nier are the direct results of Drakengard interference, we can assume they share the same law, one of it being the contract or ‘the pact’. Long story short, pact is a deal between man and beast, so that the man would gain supernatural power and a second chance in life, in return, they have to sacrifice something dear to them. This is arguably what Tyrann did, giving Kainé a second chance in life, but in return, sacrificing the one she cherished most, Nier. However, remember that this pact is done between man and beast, Tyrann is not a beast, so it shouldn’t make sense that he’s able to do it. But while that’s not the perfect explanation, if you twisted the logic a bit, it’s the one that make most sense
