Alchemy makes absolutely beautiful 1911s they have a charcoal blue Pime model on their web sight which may be the most sublimely gorgeous firearm I’ve ever seen. I’m in love
@@yrsued I'm still on the young side, mines only a 1966. Great gun though, .45 lightweight commander. No way I could afford one this nice at today's prices, its a family gun.
Trigger pull is not determined by hammer spring very much. The middle finger of the sear spring is the key to trigger pull. A light hammer spring can cause failure to fires. But you know this. Great gun. Thanks for sharing!

I don't like to compare guns, other channels do that a lot, I don't see much into doing that, but I can do more on some of the moderately priced Customs, like this one!!
The only difference between an Alchemy (or Cabot) and the other "hi-end custom gun makers" like Nighthawk, Ed Brown...are the quality of internal parts and the extra effort in fitting beyond that of the "big 4" (ed brown, Wilson Combat...)...and most are under $3000 USD. Only 3 1911s are priced inline with the "big 4" by Alchemy/Prime Elite...and it's the finishes. ...Hard Chromed Prime Elite $3500 then 2 other finishes that are near the $5k mark. ...would like to see a more rounded heel though. Maybe a gun with a bobtail...But Alchemy's approach, workmanship and know how. If I could afford one or 2...heh..
Are u saying that Alchemy has better internal parts than the companies they buy parts from....ie Nighthawk and Wilson. Dont get me wrong they are great guns and some of the best looking on the market but Alchemy acording to Alchemy produces semi-custom 1911s. Jason Burton on the other hand produces one off customs.
Im OK with another 1911, but, you should really throw us black sheeps a bone and review some custom Browning Hi Powers! Novak, Cylinder & Slide, MK3 firearms, Just get another cool Hi Power! C&S even does custom Regent BR9 packages including the brand new gun 👍 Also i did watch the Design video, it was great and your Novak is gorgeous! I just want more because I'm greedy lol
Yamil R. Sued It’s funny - I never get tired of looking at, holding, and shooting 1911’s. And yes, I always want another one. I have chosen to move from Les Baer (not selling mine) and my next one will be made by Rob. Perhaps my first Commander. Thanks for the video!
@@datambor This pistol is meant to self defense, you don't engage a Threat at 50-100 yards, you will go to prison when you miss and you hit the bus full of Nuns and Orphans!! And, at Camp Perry, NOBODY shoots at 50-100 yards, there is a REAL Reason they shoot pistol at 25 Meters.. NOT 50!! And as a Gunsite Alumni, The School Drill is 3 Yards, 5 Yards, 7 Yards, 10 Yards and 15 Yards, with the Option of going prone at 25 yards!! Yes, Bianchi Cup shoots at 50 Yards on the Practical, but, 99.9999% of the shooters, go Prone!! Oh, on USPSA/IPSC, they shoot 6 rounds at 50 yards, I can keep them on Paper at 50, but I don't shoot USPSA anymore.
HEHE!! NO pistol or revolver is inherently "accurate". :) Accuracy comes from the shooter. Should be able to get pretty much the same groupings no matter which 1911 is used. Wont magically tighten one's groupings. Just a "different experience" holding a gun who's trigger and slide has no wobble. Like wearing a watch that's heavier/quieter than that $500 watch. Both just as accurate telling time. With any real difference maybe one gun will be less likely to jam shooting outdoors where there is a lot of sand/wind. One gun more of an "indoor gun".
A Watch is NOT a Pistol!! A good shooter can make the gun run right, but there is A HUGE difference in the 1911world, TRUST ME!! BTW, a well made pistol can and WILL run in any environment!! I have run cheap 1911's, the ones that won't run. I have shot badly made 1911's, the ones that won't run.
