ACW recently caught my attention and I gained even more appreciation for the brand after watching the video. If I didn't live in Cali, I would have one on order already.
Rob is awesome. He graciously fixed my UTC 9mm that didn't run right. Uncle Les' guys didn't put it together right. Took time out of his day to call and explain the issues and how to fix them.
Rob hit the nail on the head. There are always the as good as crowd who justify their lack of enthusiasm or whatever just to save a buck. Shot mostly colts and then kimbers back in the day but after buying my first ED Brown 5’ govt in .45 I quickly learned that my gold cups and custom shop kimber eclipse target, were actually to become my minimum standard. Currently saving for my next purchase which will be an ACW prime govt in Blue with walnut grips. Almost there .
The only reason I don't have a gun built or modified by this man is my peak 1911 interest happened when he closed Alchemy and got hired by Cabot to fix their stuff. Rob helped me out so much on 1911 Forum on what to look for in Custom 1911s that I still use today even on low tier striker guns. As soon as he designs a better grip then the old STI on his Quantico Double Stack is when my deposit goes in (or a Commander slide).
Im overseas, and I only own 1 1911 which is a Nighthawk. If only firearms cost the same as it is in the US, I'd probably own at least 10 of them. Hopefully 1 day i get to own an ACW. Awesome guns!
Does Rob have direct input on Cabot's craftsmanship? Curious how that relationship between these sister companies work. I tell ya, I'd feel that much more confident knowing he has had input on the development and production on those models.
It seems like this guy is just a real good guy who hard fit 45s for real no bs.I will be looking for his 45s nighthawk now you talking. Nightmare Hammy I wonder who that was.lol
Cnc machines have Ben King for years I wish the price reflected the time vs the time 20 years ago.like today with cnc MAcHines from start to finish is 30 min vs days.
Move man. It’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made. Take some of that California money to Arkansas or Texas. It’ll be like you moving to Mexico. You’ll be rich af. Big house. Land. Whatever you want.
Great interview with Dr. Evil and learning ACW's origin story. Now leave him alone so that he can get back to building my Prime Elites! Lol!
Hahahaha
"Les is Les" lol You are a very kind man, Mr. Schauland.
Am I correct in gathering that Les is a difficult man to work for lol?
@@wallaceavin7490, Mr. Baer is steadfast in his opinions.
Guitar player too, my man! Great interview!
ACW is the best I have ever worked with. Thank you for what you do.
Awesome interview! I want more!
No pallet jack riding contest? Bummer. Cool interview, I enjoyed it. Grabbing some of the other people from Cabot/ACW to interview would be cool.
Yup it’s in process...
Rob does great work. He fixed and customized a 1911 for me a long time ago, he is a stand up man.
Great video. You guys are awesome!
Rob knows....
Really like this story. Humble, practical.

I'm going to have to watch this again and keep count of how many times the kid says "yeah".

He does.... that’s why they brought him over! The Cabot Rebellion is his design
@@defconcreative so cool. Thanks for the reply. Have you seen the Cabot Apocalypse? My Lord that's an amazing looking piece.
Just wait...
You guys riffing on high cap guns was funny.
And we make them 🤣🤣
When he was talking about the lady fitting guns at colt, she must have trained chris from triarc
Being a gunsmith sounds fun.
Definitely build a double no hold’s barred.
