Saw these guys last week at Red Rocks! Had 4 gals on strings as well as two gals singing backup. I’m hooked and I’m 69! Sold out crowd and was beyond awesome! These guys have a strong blues influence but very unique. JJ has a wide range and powerful voice!
I first heard them when they opened for the Rolling Stones in 2019. They blew me away!
You're so lucky, they're my 2 favorite bands and last year they were eboth going to grand rapids but within a month or 2 of eachothrr so I had to pick one
welp...made the hair on my arms stand up...been a while...last couple times that's happened have been few and far between. Small Town Titans *"Mr Grinch",* Jinjer *"Pisces",* Chris Stapleton *"Tennessee Whiskey",* are all I can think of in recent memory. (Maybe Gangstagrass with *"Barnburnin",* or Dead South*"In Hell",* but not sure about that)
I agree about his voice, wasn't expecting that either, though I shouldn't be surprised considering we live in a world with Rick Astley's voice and his Archie Andrews/Doogie Howser/Conan O'Brien face..lol
Their sound Is familiar, I am a HUGE fan of that Hard Rockin' Blues, almost a Heavy Rockabilly, sound. You get from the likes of Johnny Lang, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Diesel, Colin James, etc (to name some of the more modern artists)
I will definitely be checking out more of these guys, and adding them to my playlist(s)
They get an 11 or 12 from me.

Yeah these guys were better than 3/4 of the bands I've seen in the early 70s, great vocals. Agree with that bit of ZZ Top. I hear some Country Joe and the Fish, Marshall Tucker Band and a few bands I've forgotten their names. The first few secs I got Grand Funk Railroad vibes

Now my lip reading skills aren't what they used to be, but I swore I saw some of the people in the posters on the wall behind you talking, I couldn't make it all out, but they were saying something about in the near future, having to make room on the wall for that band she's watching. Something along those lines. 😲😊✌️

Hi, I really like your reactions. This band Kaleo is from Iceland (like OfMonstersAndMen). I am Icelandic and also an Angelina Jordan fan since 2014. Angelina and Kaleo have covered the same song, an old Nancy Sinatra song, Bang Bang (Angelina 7 or 8 yo in Norway got talent). It would be great if you reacted to those two versions of Bang Bang. I think you would like those versions. Also Kaleo songs Way down we go (live from inside an Icelandic volcano) or Can´t go on without you.

Maunalee could you do reactions to songs that I used to find so annoying when sung originally; now different singer, arrangement...I can't get enough. Here's some e.g. but just one would be nice. Mendeleyev--Dylan's "Girl from the North Country", Adam Lambert-Cher's "Believe" or Joey Niceforo-ABBA's "Winner Takes It All".

Kaleo is a band from Iceland and the name is Hawaiian / Polynesian for "song / voice." Their A/B record is terrific. I think all the members are still in their 20s. JJ's, the lead singer's, vocal delivery reminds me at times of Elvis Presley's. 🙂
He has a southern rock-bluesy sound...sounds alot like Jamie n commons...their song "way down we go" is even better than this one...
