And now you have an awesome full walkthrough for Secret of the Old Clock! 😁😁😁
I remember being perplexed that this ended up being the only game in the series to be set in 1930, which is the year Nancy Drew was created, while the rest of the series is sent in the present day, despite Nancy never aging over 18. But I guess HeR Interactive made this game special for the 75th anniversary in 2005, both by making a game using the title of the first Nancy Drew book and setting it in the year of the creation of the character.
But despite the change in time period, I LOVE this game! ❤❤❤ I love the puzzles, including Richard's word game, fishing at the lake, adjusting the mirrors in the shed, and ESPECIALLY playing mini golf! 😄 In fact, I love to fish and golf in real life, so it's why I love doing those mini games here. While mini golf was frustrating for me in the beginning, I have since been able to figure out a strategy to win with as few strokes as possible, so I have much more fun doing it now that I did at first. The only puzzle that initially stumped me when I first played was Richard's card game. I can't remember how many times I tried it before I decided to look up hints to get through it. And as for the secret passageway under the seat in the inn that leads to Josiah's old house? I was SO excited when I first discovered it, and without any hints! I always have felt excited when I discover hidden passageways and rooms in the games, and the one in CLK is definitely no exception for me! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I also remember being shocked by the end of the game, since the culprit turned out to be not who she said she was, but rather an impostor named Marion Aborn (who was mentioned in a letter from the real Jane to Gloria, which is in the drawer below Emily's seat) who was posing as Jane just to force Emily to sell the inn so they would split the profits (which a guardian could do until the ward turns 18, like Carson said) as well as steal the jewelry and anything else of value she could find just to get some fast money. Such a greedy, immoral woman!!! 😡😡😡 Still, this revelation was a great twist, and I really wish HeR would do this kind of twist with another villain in a future game.
