@@idontcare414 you don't want to do that. The silicone will get left behind and will cause bbs to spin randomly. Rubbing alcohol will evaporated almost immediately after being applied to the barrel.
Why clean the barrel first if you're going to take everything apart anyway? You could clean it as an individual part and not have to worry about disturbing the hop-up bucking. Also, pro tip: put the barrel cleaning rod into the chuck of a drill, and hold the barrel with your other hand, pull the trigger and let the drill spin the towelette while you guide it along the barrel. Much more thorough and quicker than spinning the rod by hand.

I have a problem with an M24 Snow Wolf...when cocking, it won't 'catch and 'cock' unless I'm squeezing on the bottom of the mag. When apart, the bolt cocks with no problem, but putting it back into the stock causes this problem. Rifle is not old. I've had it apart already, replaced a weak trigger spring but what could be causing this? Thanks!

Its kinda funny that this came out right after I cleaned my real steel firearms & airsoft guns. I used the same cleaning pads I use on the real guns for the airsoft guns to save on money.
Did you try to unscrew it before removing the lock screw? If so you probably destroyed the threading and you'll need channel locks to remove it. Best thing you can do after that is buy a new reciever and outer barrel
Davoda 1 have you checked the mag spring? I had that issue with my old CYMA M14, turned out the mag spring was worn out & couldnt provide the tension needed to load the rounds. There are other possible reasons but start with simplest & cheapest things first.
Davoda 1the most common causes of feed issues are either your mags, the position of your mags, the position of your gearbox and hop unit's feed tube, or the nozzle/tappet plate/sector gear - all 3 of which work together to move the nozzle back and forth. So I'd run down those to make sure they are all in working order & aligned properly.

Dirt on the outside is no dirt. It´s camouflage :D
Cleaning externals is good for conditioning. Plastic dries out and metal needs to be protected from moisture.

Why you using .10s for sniping? Heavier BBs are much more accurate

the silicone WD40 is the "thin" one and your regular silicone spray is kinda in the middle of thin and thick

don't use regular gun oil, it's too harsh and will degrade your seals and o-rings
