- The 6-0 Buckeyes are back from their bye week to take on the 3-3 Iowa Hawkeyes. This is the first time the Buckeyes have played Iowa since they were embarrassed in Kinnick Stadium in 2017. This Iowa team isn't putting up 55 on the Buckeyes this year though as their offense is absolutely atrocious. I'm calling it now, the Silver Bullets (currently sitting at #5 in the country in total defense) shut out Iowa in a 42-0 win. Scarlet Out the Hawkeyes!

Exposing meaning you're proving they are not as good as advertised.
You can have the greatest defense ever assembled. But if you can't keep your defense off the field even that defense will break in the 2nd half.

Iowa fan here. You really have nothing to worry about. Even if Stroud played absolutely disastrous and threw 9 picks (guaranteed not this bad) and say 4 were returned for touchdowns. The other 5 Iowa would do nothing with because Ohio State has a much better defense and Iowa’s offense couldn’t move the chains against an average high school team. I genuinely believe the Buckeye offense is so dynamic that Iowa just can’t contain them too long defensively. They are going to get tired. This is also in Columbus, so no Kinnick help like last time. Stroud is also unbelievably good and really won’t make mistakes, not the number Iowa would need. If Iowa somehow does the seemingly impossible, I’ll happily eat my words.

@@johnbarton41 yes, not so good Iowa teams. However, this is literally the worst FBS offense in every category, last I checked. The last year in Kinnick, Stanley played out of his mind and the defense was just insane. The defense is still good, but haven’t gotten the turnovers they usually enjoy. The offense fill in the blank with some synonym of trash.
Healthy and rested if I was Iowa I'd bring some ice.

People overrate iowa defense they have not played a elite offense so ohio state will prove that
Iowa fan here. Isn’t Michigan elite this year? They are better offensively compared to last year, evidence Penn State game. Iowa’s defense is still highly rated despite their loss to Michigan. McCarthy was also prepped for Iowa’s defense by playing Maryland the week before, who played a similar style, and Michigan struggled. The teams you could make a argument for an over rated defense because they haven’t played anyone is Georgia (struggled with Kent State and Missouri, but destroyed Oregon before they figured out who they were in week 1) and Illinois (literally haven’t played a decent offense).
@@bandcgaming6954 settle down. I literally prefaced that saying I’m a Iowa fan, in no way a Michigan fan. I can just recognize that Iowa has played a very good team in Michigan, who does have a top ten win that will look better by the end of the season when you compare Ohio State’s best win against Notre Dame. Michigan at this time is rated 4th. I’d say that deserves to be in the elite category for the year AT THIS POINT. I also think Ohio State by season’s end will be the best team in the country. I fully expect Ohio State to win this year against Michigan. Literally all of these statements can be true for weeks until the outcome of The Game is decided.
