I have read many comments made by some defending Islam here and I see people who think their faith must remain unchecked. If I were them, I would take every point raised by Dan Gibson and research it and gun for truthful conclusions, because God doesn't lie, doesn't support lies, neither does He work magic to back up beliefs.

      That's true.
Altough tbh, if one reads the Qur'an, especially 9:28, it doesn't seem as if we lose anything with this.
I think Petra being the place the Prophet was sent to warn actually is evidence for the Qur'an being from God.
Because they were destroyed for denying it, that is why Petra today is desolate.
The same happened with Jesus and the 2nd temple.
This is the procedure of God, and it does not change.
Every time the majority reject a messenger from among themselves, he rescues the believers and destroys the deniers.
So again, this to me is good, praise be to God.
What sectarians do now, is their own thing.
I take Qur'an alone for guideance, they got an issue with that because they take Persian made books also for religion, often superceding the Qur'an.
I recommend you the channel of Sam Gerrans on this.
We believe that we are like Unitarian Christians and Karaite J3ws...
Of course God knows best, and he named us submitting, or of those in peace with him.
So i like to call myself what God called us.
      Salutations.

Religion is a dangerous thing because it has to do with personal faith mostly. It is like an idea that must be defended at all costs for most people. Few people humbly ask God for guidance on how to really serve Him or relate with Him, they depend on someone else's revelation and relationship to serve God.

I think this is a pretty strong case as the description of "Mecca" in the Quran was baffling given the state of it now and having no archeological record prior to Islam. "Mecca" is described as being:
-In a Valley, with mountains overlooking the Kaa'ba
-With a stream (not a well, actual running water)
-With fields, trees, fruit, and loam
    -A center of trade
Mecca is a desert wasteland and as shown in this documentary, has no archeological or botanical history. There isn't even a dried out stream bed to show for. Looking over the Qiblas myself, I think this is a pretty strong case for Petra being the original place of worship.

    • @Gabriel-ServantOfGod

Sam Gerrans also adopts this position, based on his work on the Qur'an, which i must say must have taken his a lot of time.
And especially with the God protocol, the fact that God destroys the people when they deny a messenger from among themselves.
The fact that Petra was destroyed is evidence precisely to the strength of the Qur'an as its claim of being a revelation from God.
Which is funny since many Christians don't see this... and think somehow this proves their sect lol...
Well, scripture always said it, believers are few, and Trinitarians and Sunnis are the majority... 2+2=4

He impersonated a Muslim and made the pilgrimage to mecca. He noted that the geography of mecca in the Koran didn't correspond in any way to that of mecca in Arabia. This would explain why.

      People have abandoned the Qur'an.
Even tho that was the guidance God revealed, unlike the cannons of narrations made up later on...
I say this both to my closer people who claim to believe in the Qur'an, aswell as the ones who don't believe in it.
Altough, God knows best who are closer to be believers.
Sometimes some religious people are hypocritical, while others may not know better but have purer intention.
I was an agnostic, and man when i discovered the Qur'an, i couldn't disbelieve in it.
And i got in the Sunni sect, i thought that was the correct thing to do, but now i clearly see that the sects are not following the books.
The same which happened to Christians and the Bible happened to the people who claim to follow the Qur'an...
In the end of the day, this is a test, to see the people who go against the majority upholding the truth, and i want to be of those.
If you are interested, i recommend you the work of Sam Gerrans, he also adopts the Petra thesis and i think he has some excellent work.

@owncraticpath The Scriptures are far more reliable than the Quran. Do you realize in the 1st 100 years of Christ's death there was 5000 greek writings. Do you know that these writings were sent to different parts of the world? On top of that these writings were not written in 3rd person and there's no discrepancies of where the stories took place unlike the Quran. So it's impossible that the Bible was rewritten over the years like unbelievers claim because the same Scripture that appeared in Rome were also in Ethiopian, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Syria and have not changed 2000 years later! These places were also too far apart and these churches didn't even get along (or didn't agree with certain practices) to take part in such a conspiracy!!

    • @Gabriel-ServantOfGod
      @Gabriel-ServantOfGod 5 месяцев назад +8

@@ebozion32 You don't know Biblical history if you claim that lol.
You have Matthew change dialogues from Mark, literally changing the whole meaning...
You have contradictions in today's version... and you call that reliable?
Honestly you guys have no shame.
The Qur'an is impecable, all the "issues" are honestly quite few, compared to the Bible we have literally no issues...
And this is attested by historians, Van Putten for instance, he gets deep in this, and i remember him being interviewed by a Christian, wanting to find major faults in the Qur'an, and i loved when Van Putten got into Bible and destroyed it, aka, like saying "Yeah you guys are no one to speak about this"
Now, as a believer, i don't take happiness in this, i believe in the Gospel, and it would be cool to know 100% something is all the Gospel...
The nature of the Gospel tho seems to be complex, as if it has been recorded in many "gospels", so it's scattered...
It seems as if the commentery of the writters on the side only make things worst.
Since each one has his agenda, and John is the craziests, altough to give it credit, John also has most of my favourite muslim statements made by Jesus, I on my own can do nothing and stuff like that...
So, who knows, perhaps it is gospel, it also has the prediction of the holy spirit coming back, and it seems that the Qur'an references this.
The good about that is that then it would imply that the spirit of truth, through the Qur'an will "guide you to all truth" as Jesus says...
And i think it's fair to say that the Qur'an summarizes all previous scripture and finishes many polemics that both j3wish and christian sects still have today because of their denial of God's revelations...
Aka choosing to be blind on purpose.
The nature of Jesus for instance...
How much money are some channels making by making up stories about Jesus and aliens...
LIke you got every kind of narration about him, why? because people don't know.
The Qur'an sets Jesus to be who he was, a messenger like other messengers who came before...
      Boom, thousands of issues solved.
      The truth is simple.
      God is one.

We have in Al Fatiha also the Maliki and Maaliki.
      King vs Owner.
So i wonder, how do we solve our issues?
What I AM against is double standarts.
If i criticise your Bible, i want it not to happen to me, and if it does, i want to have a valid excuse.
Now, we don't have issues with books.
      You claim they are preserved?
Then why do some churches have 81 books and others 66?
      Like that is big.
We don't have such issues with the Qur'an.
The max we have is the Rashad Khalifa thing.
In case you want to know.
That's the closer you get, 2 verses, whereas whole books some of you deem fabrications and others valid scripture inspired by God....
A quamtum leap from the Qur'an to the Bible if you ask me.
Now, on terms of basics, the Qur'an is obviously more clear.
In terms of practice, you don't find such incongruencies.
On the Bible tho, you got books with literal opposed beliefs... like the ones from Paul and "James" altough they say it's fabricated, which doesn't halp if so...
With the Qur'an i know God is one, no doubt, then if i do good God willing i go to paradise.
With your Bible, you also get this notion, but a lot of confusing, side kind of stuff like a prophet being martyred (which was not a new thing anyways) now is the most important thing ever....
Something which i can't factcheck, because it happened 2000 years ago... something which is NOT intuitive, AT ALL...
Is now my basis of salvation?
      Please use logic, reason...
The Qur'an only calls us to use reason and the intuition God gave us...
How can you even compare the two...
And sure, part of the Bible is revelation, from God.
      I'm not talking about that.
I'm talking about why you prefer a tarnished scripture before the Qur'an which reminds and clarifies it...
Isn't it purely arbitrarely, based on your emotions perhaps?
Perhaps you should watch these kind of videos but on your own beliefs, i'm sure there are many videos about the real tomb of Christ, and how today's one is chosen arbitrarely... or many other issues... with the same evidence or more...
Oh... you don't click those? Scared?
Only clicking the ones you like...
If i'm mistaken, my apologies, if i'm correct, then i'm not saying this to you in play, rather perhaps this is a reminder which benefits you, that would make me glad if that was to be the case.
Otherwise, i win nothing by arguing and you believing or not... God knows best

The name "MHMD" translates to "The Praised One" in Arabic. Originally, it was used to refer to Jesus. Early coins from the Arabian Kingdom featured the cross alongside the letter "M," representing "MHMD." Over time, the cross was removed as the rulers began to embrace Nestorian and Ebionite philosophies, which emphasized that Christ was not divine.
The Dome of the Rock bears an inscription clearly stating that Jesus is "MHMD," identifying him as a messenger or prophet, rather than God or the Son of God. As the centuries passed, the name "MHMD" evolved into "Mohammed," giving rise to a new narrative about a prophet that has persisted to this day. There was never an individual named Mohammed in human history; rather, his stories are considered to be mere fables.

      Indeed.
The same thing with the Trinity also happened, the sects made that up later to cover up the true Gospel.
And this is the same with the Qur'an, the sects wanted to cover up its meanings using the "hadiths"...
The truth is that God tells us this:
It is not virtue that you turn your faces towards the East and the West. But virtue is: one who believes in God, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Writ, and the prophets, and gives wealth in spite of love of it to relatives, and the fatherless, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to manumit slaves; and who upholds the duty, and renders the purity; and those who keep their covenant when they make a covenant; and the patient in affliction and adversity, and during conflict: those are they who are sincere; and it is they who are those of prudent fear.

The Bible is the most accurately transmitted book from the ancient world. No other ancient book has as many, as early, or more accurately copied manuscripts. Old Testament >>Old Testament manuscript reliability is based on three factors: their abundance, dating, and accuracy. Most works from antiquity survive on only a handful of manuscripts: only 7 for Plato, 8 for Thucydides, 8 for Herodotus, 10 for Caesar’s Gallic Wars, and 20 for Tacitus. Only the works of Demosthenes and Homer number into the hundreds. Yet even before 1890 a scholar named Giovanni de Rossi published 731 OT manuscripts. Since that time some 10,000 OT manuscripts were found in the Cairo Geniza, and in 1947 the Dead Sea caves at Qumran produced over 600 OT manuscripts. Further, the Dead Sea Scrolls, containing at least fragments of all OT books except Esther, all date from before the end of the first century A.D. and some to the third century B.C. The Nash Papyrus is dated between the second century B.C. and the first century A.D.The manuscripts’ accuracy is known from internal and external evidence. (1) It is well known that Jewish scribal reverence for Scripture led to its careful transmission. (2) Examination of duplicate passages (e.g., Pss 14 and 53) show parallel transmission. (3) The early Greek translation of the OT, the Septuagint, substantially agrees with the Hebrew manuscripts. (4) Comparison of the Samaritan Pentateuch with the same biblical books preserved within the Jewish tradition shows close similarity. (5) The Dead Sea Scrolls provide manuscripts dating a thousand years earlier than most used to establish the Hebrew text. Comparative studies reveal word-for-word identity in 95 percent of the text. Minor variants consist mostly of slips of the pen or spelling. Only 13 small changes were discovered in the entire Dead Sea Scrolls copy of Isaiah, eight of which were known from other-ancient sources. After 1,000 years of copying, there were no changes in meaning and almost no changes in wording! >>New Testament >>> The reliability of the NT is established because the number, date, and accuracy of its manuscripts enable reconstruction of the original text with more precision than any other ancient text. The number of NT manuscripts is overwhelming (almost 5,700 Greek manuscripts) compared with the typical book from antiquity (about 7 to 10 manuscripts; Homer’s Iliad has the most at 643 manuscripts). The NT is simply the best textually supported book from the ancient world. The earliest undisputed NT manuscript is the John Rylands Papyrus, dated between A.D. 117 and 138. Whole books (e.g., those contained in the Bodmer Papyri) are available from around the year 200. And most of the NT, including all the Gospels, is available in the Chester Beatty Papyri manuscripts, dating to about 250.

Don’t you wonder why your faith leaders have been hiding this from you? I recommend including secular sources into one’s historical understanding of their religion, bc they lack the bias religious sources are rigidly defined by; so secular sources are the best ways to learn about which aspects/facts are supported by evidence from science, arts, archaeology, literature/texts, etc.; and what things are simply claimed, & not facts… bc there’s no proof? Actually, there’s alot of contra- indications for things stated in the Quran, & long believed by Muslims re: early Islam… which more reliable & trustworthy, validated, sources disprove or suggest are highly doubtful. Sad to see Islamic leaders ignore issues in Islam history, & more willing to indoctrinate followers than promote critical thinking & thorough comprehension of the text & ancient culture… rather than memorization & rigid judgmental rules for modern life. In a book w/ SO many outrageously false statements about the Bible, Jesus, & Judaism/Christianity (which followers are unaware of), as well as an invented, edited, AND covered-up early history of its own origin/past (which adherents are ALSo unaware of), and violent, hatefilled language… as well as weird, deviant, disgusting sexual practices which were created by Mohammed for his own self interests & the later caliphs changed to hell theirs… as they don’t align with the few ancient texts that describe the daily life of oldest followers of Mohammed- which has lead to horrific implications in today’s world- and ppl think their god is judgmental & suggests they carry out violence & mistreatment of his “chosen” ppl (which is completely irrational) and has subjugated & ruined/tormented lives of many faithful Muslims today… all bc of the corruption of earliest caliphs trying to make a nee state. It’s sick. Ppl should know what they believe & haha e their questions answered… not be tricked & “convinced” or manipulated to believe something is translated to day a barely different word, & the most “easy to understand book in the world” requires SOOO much nuance & knowledge? Really?! NO. ITS BC THE BOOK ISNT CLEAR, nor was it written by Mohammed or anyone in his close circle.
PLEASE Muslims- look at secular sources to confirm answers, & use ur critical thinking Bc Islam doesn’t hint at being truthful, just a man’s attempt to get rich & get his kinks fulfilled. God should be Love & Peace. IMO. Read the New Testament. ❤️

      Sure.
Thank God the Qur'an never orders us to kiss any black stone.
      It literally doesn't.
And also what Christians do is idol worship, when they pray to Jesus, it's not direfent to kissing the black rock for blessings from God.
      Both are wrong.
Why? Because idol worship is worshiping the material as God, both flesh and rock are material, and Jesus is Spirit and Flesh, while God in only Spirit... Thus worshiping Jesus is idol worship.
Satan is indeed an enemy to us all... and the Trinitarians are blinded by Satan just as the Rabbis who also lie about God, and the Sheikhs who do as the Rabbis...
This is because Satan only has power over the people who disobey God...
I try to obey God, and the Qur'an is indeed guidance.

In 2017, historian David A. King authored a highly critical review of Gibson's Early Islamic Qiblas in which he cites plagiarism, misconstruction and misunderstanding of his 1990 work on Qibla direction.[2][3] King also published a systematic review in 2018 entitled "The Petra fallacy - Early mosques do face the Sacred Kaaba in Mecca but Dan Gibson doesn't know how / Comparing historical orientations with modern directions can lead to false results".[4]
King argued that early Muslim Arabs were unable to precisely establish Qiblas when building new mosques until later mathematical developments made precision possible.[1] Further, King wrote, many variations in orientation are better accounted for by regional and local practices, imperfect geography, and folk astronomy. King noted Gibson's inadequate grasp of mathematics, citing Gibson's "spherical polygons" (p. 170) as inexplicable. King summarized his analysis of Gibson's work as an "amateurish, non-scholarly document that is both offensive to Muslims and also an insult to Muslim and Western scholarship."[1] Gibson placed a response to King on academia.edu, "Dr. King on the other hand is convinced that the sloppy qiblas actually intended to point: east, west, solstices, sunrises and so forth. I have not come across anything in Islamic religious manuscripts that support these Qiblas. But perhaps in time someone, somewhere will stumble across something that will change our understanding of Qiblas. All I have found so far, is that every Muslim expects the Qibla to point to Masjid Al Harām."[5]

Islamic scholars and historians argue that "Becca" mentioned in the Quran (Surah 3:96) may refer to the same location. The Quran states that the first house of worship established for humanity was at Becca.
In the Bible, there is a reference to a place called "Baca" in Psalm 84:6: "As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs." Some Islamic scholars propose that "Baca" could be linked to "Becca" and thus to the modern city of Mecca.

Plenty of people questioned that Mecca is the holy city of Islam. Gibson says:
"No one has ever questioned that Mecca is the holy city of Islam." but others have questioned it, and ex-muslims have even paid with their lives for pointing out the obvious.
Outside the lands where pointing out the obvious could get you killed, imprisoned or put in an insane asylum, many academics have shown that the, to quote a term, "standard narrative has holes in it "
As Gibson says many have recognised that the landscape in the Qur'an,does not agree at all with what you find in Mecca today. People have looked for Mecca on ancient maps in all nearby civilisations, and looked into other documents from the time and Mecca is not there.
Apart from stories only written (down) about 200 years after the supposed death of the character "Muhammad " by Muslims and their rulers, there is really nothing that links any of the 37 Arabic Qur'ans with what is called Mecca today.
The earliest manuscripts of Qur'ans show that it was written without vowels and other diacritics so there was no Muhammad as Muslims want to claim. What you have is a bunch of consonants mhmd that would most likely be Mahmood or rather mahmed with no vowels needed between the h and the second m. This was not a name but a the title of the Praiseworthy One. That title had been given to Jesus as far back as the Book of Revelation.
The Qur'an as it stands today says that it is supposed to be in pure Arabic but it really contains dozens of words from Amharic, Hebrew and Greek etc. So it is actually unlikely that modern translators etc knowing only Arabic really even understand the foreign words in the Qur'ans.
So we find contradictions in the whole thing. There are verses in the Qur'ans that say that it is a "clear book ", but these are contradicted by other verses saying that the Qur'ans contain birth clear and *unclear* verses and now experts admitting that only Allah (if he exists) knows what the Qur'ans are supposed to mean in many verses.
So people have now looked at these verses and compared them with Syriac Aramaic and concluded that that is the true language of the original Qur'an and that it actually didn't have anything to do with what is called Mecca today. It, the Qur'an itself, is from the north where that dialect of Syriac Aramaic was written and later recited.

It is likely that Medina would’ve been the next ‘Mecca’, and then the current day Mecca would’ve been created to fulfill the idea of a holy city as there was no previous civilisation there to counter historic claims. Medina has a lot more historical sources because it was within the incense caravan route, and there were multiple Jewish tribes that lived there before pre-Islam. For whatever reason, whether by political reasons or a change of caravan route due to Petra losing its position to Syria and the resulting earthquakes a couple centuries before Mohammed’s alleged birth, Medina would’ve been an ideal trade centre to migrate to

I think it's quite possible that current Mecca is an invented city to some extent. However, I am not convinced that Petra was the original Mecca. Petra was well inside the sphere of Roman/Byzantine Christianity, as it was conquered by the Romans in 106 AD. The bishop of Petra in fact attended the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD. I find it hard to believe that all the events of early Islam were actually happening in Petra and it somehow went unnoticed by Roman historians. The Quraysh were controlling Petra? Petra went to war with Medina? There's zero archaeological evidence for any of this. Also, the Arabic spoken in Petra was not at all like the Arabic we find in the Quran.

"Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer." Quran 14:37
"And ˹remember˺ when We assigned to Abraham the site of the House, ˹saying,˺ “Do not associate anything with Me ˹in worship˺ and purify My House for those who circle ˹the Ka’bah˺, stand ˹in prayer˺, and bow and prostrate themselves." Quran 22:27-28
there are loads of verses whic debunk the complete argument and these verses are pesent in literally every single oldest Manuscript during the time of the Prophet s.a.w

You seem to have left out the end of verse Q14:37; ‘Our Lord, indeed I have settled of my offsprings in a valley not with cultivation near Your Sacred House Our Lord that they may establish the prayers. So make hearts of men incline towards them, and provide them with fruits, so that they may be grateful’
