Since Hongkong isn't mentioned that much (for example "glory be to thee Hongkong" is replaced by "Freedom and Democracy"), Germans would only have to make slight changes and could sing the song themselves in the case of revolution.
As Hong Kong and Deutschland both have two syllables, that is very possible.

*This part has two interpretations; one is a reference to the Sun-Yat Sen ‘Three principles of the Peope’ (San Min Chu-i). But it also could a reference to the principles and unity of Hong Kongers to be free without Beijing interference.
**Originally I wrote: El cielo amplio está y tres banderas ondearán (the sky is wide and 3 flags waves) The 3 flags is a reference to the 3 main positions about the Hong Kong Issue (Hong Kong Independence, Keep the One Country-Two systems but with huge autonomy for Hong Kong and Hong Kong as part of Republic of China [Taiwan]). However, I decided to change because I don’t want a song to create more political division.
Maybe you are wondering what my opinions about the Hong Kong Issue are? Well, I agree Hong Kong should be free, more capacity to take their decisions without Beijing interference and without communism. However, I’ll keep neutral about the question on Hong Kong’s sovereignty. I’ve never been in Hong Kong and I’m not neither Chinese / Hong Konese. So I'm going to stay neutral, if Hong Kong wants to stay with China under the One Country-Two Systems or be independent is their decision and I’m not someone to take a position on that.
@@arandomperson4343 Yes, of course you need to adapt the singing to the melody, In Spanish we classify the words according to 3 tones (agudas graves y esdrújulas). In some parts you need to 'push' some words, for example; the phrase "Contra la tiranía y la opresión" should be sing as "Contrala tiraníaylao-presión" It wouled be more easier if you know someone who is a native speaker.
Btw “reing” is not an English word so I don’t know what you mean by reing but I’m assuming you mean reign.
