For the Katseye thing, I think the whole “sexy image” is not really there. The only ones who come off that way to me are Lara and Daniela, and that’s mostly because of makeup and styling. The other girls are dress more cutely imo. Even Megan, who has shorter outfits, gives more of a cute vibe than a sexy one. I also don’t think the safety shorts are an issue. It’s seems like the ones who want them, have them. Like, Sophia, wears them, but Lara, Daniela, and Megan don’t, and Yoonchae honestly hasn’t been given an outfit short enough to need them 😭 the shortest thing she’s been in was probably her skirt from the My Way lyric video. If you look at predebut pictures (specifically of Lara and Daniella), you’ll see they’ve always dressed that way. The problem with that is safety shorts aren’t a “but I don’t want them/comfortable without them” thing. They’re a necessity for if accidents happen. Imagine if one of the girls skirts or shorts ripped while performing and suddenly they’re in their underwear in front of a large crowd, not on,y is that bad for the girls but no one in the audience agreed to seeing someone in their underwear.

KATSEYE’S outfits aren’t a problem for me. Most of what I’ve seen online is more criticism that they should be wearing safety shorts when they’re dancing and I agree. It’s great they get to choose their outfits and wear what they’re comfortable in, but I don’t see safety shorts as a way to be conservative or cover up more. It’s a way to protect the artist from accidents or wardrobe malfunctions. A lot of fans have no boundaries or respect when it comes to celebrities. There are a lot of accounts dedicated to sexualizing women and minors by taking videos with close up shots of an idol or celebrity’s crotch while they’re performing. Most western artists still have protection when they’re performing even in really short outfits. The girls can still wear sexy clothing while protecting themselves.

Ive seen mainstream reactors that NEVER react to kpop come up in my feed going wild over Katseye BECAUSE they are international and their songs are english. The show itself was filmed in America I believe and it was a training camp run by both labels. The whole point was to make a Non Kpop/Global group but using the kpop training methodology. 1. I actually don't agree with this per say. I think there will always be a chance for NewJeans outside of HYBE due to their brand as idols even under a new name. I also think they could easily say that the apartments and money is because of Min Heejin which wouldn't be a bad point. As a buddy, Source Music was never a company with standing, money, nor connections. I'm not excusing their flaws but they pre-HYBE they did what they could with a single group who were blessed to be a mega success. Their practices might seem unfair but they still just a small company with barely any experience in managing more than one group with global activities. Gfriend was their ONLY active artist, before them they had a soloist (that didn't go anywhere), a duo who mainly produced, and a collab girl group with BigHit that nearly bankrupted them and stopped Gfriend's debut. By the time Source was getting ready to debut a new girl group the company's management changed, covid happened, and Min Heejin was growing her influence on the Team N project to the point it was detrimental. She also wasn't the only one, Bang Shihyuk trying to force Sakura into a the team for clout while reasonable was unnecessary. They both caused a strife that led to NewJeans being moved to appease Min Heejin and take Source's staff as well. All this would lead to Gfriend's forced disbandment and Source Music to only rely on Lesserafim. Anyone who claims Min Heejin saved NewJeans over those videos are also people that won't acknowledge the inappropriate aspects of NewJeans content she made and approved. She didn't save them from anything just did it her way. 4. Katseye's concept was always gonna be push this way given their market's taste. Still doesn't make it right or unique. The western market has always had an issue with sexualization in girl groups especially with minors. Destiny's Child comes to mind - those girls were literally 16-17 shaking hips and wearing revealing clothes but because they were "grown looking" people said nothing. This includes the added issue of adultification of black children for them but that can still apply to Katseye. Yoonchae is 16, the others are 17 barely 18 with Manon being the only real adult. I'd keep an eye on it because its not too bad but don't trust an industry and company that has shown you their true colors. 5. Everglow poor management is starting to go right back to Yuehua's UNIQ days. These girls barely come back despite being their biggest asset but then they got TEMPEST and started really forgetting they exist. Eunchae should've never debuted in Lesserafim, I still stand by that but she's a kid. For the Katseye thing, I think the whole “sexy image” is not really there. The only ones who come off that way to me are Lara and Daniela, and that’s mostly because of makeup and styling. The other girls are dress more cutely imo. Even Megan, who has shorter outfits, gives more of a cute vibe than a sexy one. I also don’t think the safety shorts are an issue. It’s seems like the ones who want them, have them. Like, Sophia, wears them, but Lara, Daniela, and Megan don’t, and Yoonchae honestly hasn’t been given an outfit short enough to need them 😭 the shortest thing she’s been in was probably her skirt from the My Way lyric video. If you look at predebut pictures (specifically of Lara and Daniella), you’ll see they’ve always dressed that way. The problem with that is safety shorts aren’t a “but I don’t want them/comfortable without them” thing. They’re a necessity for if accidents happen. KATSEYE’S outfits aren’t a problem for me. Most of what I’ve seen online is more criticism that they should be wearing safety shorts when they’re dancing and I agree. It’s great they get to choose their outfits and wear what they’re comfortable in, but I don’t see safety shorts as a way to be conservative or cover up more. It’s a way to protect the artist from accidents or wardrobe malfunctions. A lot of fans have no boundaries or respect when it comes to celebrities. There are a lot of accounts dedicated to sexualizing women and minors by taking videos with close up shots of an idol or celebrity’s crotch while they’re performing. Most western artists still have protection when they’re performing even in really short outfits. The girls can still wear sexy clothing while protecting themselves.

Not saying Hanni’s complaints are true because we really don’t know, but if they are, it’s not diva behavior to want to be treated with common human decency. Exchanging a greeting with someone is the absolute least you can do. To ignore someone and tell others to ignore someone who works under the same company as you simply because they believe things that you don’t believe and support people you don’t support is not only rude, but also unprofessional. That’s the same as saying that you refuse to talk to someone because they voted for a different president than you. It makes you look crazy, not the other way around. Someone being privileged does not equate to that person losing their right to having feelings and being hurt as a person. If you believe that way, I really think you should rethink things.

The show itself was filmed in America I believe and it was a training camp run by both labels. The whole point was to make a Non Kpop/Global group but using the kpop training methodology.

1. I actually don't agree with this per say. I think there will always be a chance for NewJeans outside of HYBE due to their brand as idols even under a new name. I also think they could easily say that the apartments and money is because of Min Heejin which wouldn't be a bad point. HYBE just shouldn't be treating them differently regardless, like it's not a surprise for what they are siding with but HYBE only looks bad by treating the girls badly overall. It gives weight to Min Heejin being their protector (even when she's not since she just threw them under the bus).
2. ATTRAKT is just desperate, you wanted to ruin a bunch of girls you mistreated by doubling down on this claim of Warner Music Korea trying to poach them. Give it up. However I'm also not ignoring how WMK is moving. They recently signed Danielle's older sister amidst the fight between HYBE and MHJ which looks suspicious. Her sister does have alot of work with Kpop groups so it could be coincidence, but it could also be "hey, we have your family here so if you leave you can come too" idk but 3Jeong are redebuting let us support them when they come.
3. As a buddy, Source Music was never a company with standing, money, nor connections. I'm not excusing their flaws but they pre-HYBE they did what they could with a single group who were blessed to be a mega success. Their practices might seem unfair but they still just a small company with barely any experience in managing more than one group with global activities. Gfriend was their ONLY active artist, before them they had a soloist (that didn't go anywhere), a duo who mainly produced, and a collab girl group with BigHit that nearly bankrupted them and stopped Gfriend's debut. By the time Source was getting ready to debut a new girl group the company's management changed, covid happened, and Min Heejin was growing her influence on the Team N project to the point it was detrimental. She also wasn't the only one, Bang Shihyuk trying to force Sakura into a the team for clout while reasonable was unnecessary. They both caused a strife that led to NewJeans being moved to appease Min Heejin and take Source's staff as well. All this would lead to Gfriend's forced disbandment and Source Music to only rely on Lesserafim. Anyone who claims Min Heejin saved NewJeans over those videos are also people that won't acknowledge the inappropriate aspects of NewJeans content she made and approved. She didn't save them from anything just did it her way.
4. Katseye's concept was always gonna be push this way given their market's taste. Still doesn't make it right or unique. The western market has always had an issue with sexualization in girl groups especially with minors. Destiny's Child comes to mind - those girls were literally 16-17 shaking hips and wearing revealing clothes but because they were "grown looking" people said nothing. This includes the added issue of adultification of black children for them but that can still apply to Katseye. Yoonchae is 16, the others are 17 barely 18 with Manon being the only real adult. I'd keep an eye on it because its not too bad but don't trust an industry and company that has shown you their true colors.
5. Everglow poor management is starting to go right back to Yuehua's UNIQ days. These girls barely come back despite being their biggest asset but then they got TEMPEST and started really forgetting they exist. This company shouldn't have such an issue when they barely have artists to handle + are one of the biggest entertainment companies in China. They deserve better.

I honestly have never really looked into the 50/50 case, but I think I might soon! All I’ve seen were tiktoks of them before the whole legal battle when they were still under the company and some of the girls looked severely sick. I specifically remember this one of one of the girls pulling out a bunch of medication and people in the comments talking about how some were being forced on diets and denied surgeries? 4) The issue people really have with Katseye is how they personally overly sexualize others to make normal actions and clothing seem inappropriate. They dress like others in kpop that no one complains about. I like how they are staying true to their own personal style. People just needed a reason to troll a Hybe group.

Their entire formula is based on kpop and their demographic is literally kpop fans. Katseye is just a kpop group with less koreans, and less clothing. 🙄 Can't even bring up the lack of korean lyrics, because kpop groups are already doing that too.
