- Thorpe Park May 2021 opening day of the brand new Black Mirror Labyrinth attraction with a look INSIDE the Labyrinth! We attended the Merlin Annual Passholder preview and I share the fun experience with you as well as a fun day at Thorpe Park riding favorites like Nemesis: Inferno, Stealth, The Walking Dead Coaster, Saw and also Storm in a Teacup and lunch at Infinity in The Dome! It was a very COLD, wet, windy and rainy day, so Thorpe Park enacted their Island Guarantee rainy day ticket policy but we somehow got to do almost everything we wanted to do and still had an amazing time! We also stayed in the Shark Cabins and I"ll give you a full tour of that experience as well as us getting to ride Swarn and Darren Brown's Ghost Train on the first day but that will be a seperate video coming out soon! One of the many things I like about you and Sam, your honesty. Slammer does not look like a ride I would've liked either. But I must say, keeping it to add to the scenery of the queue for the labyrinth was a great move on the park's behalf. A nice touch for the spooky, overgrown, and abandoned vibe. Makes me think I'm watching an old Adam the Woo adventure

So bizarre that’s it so cold. In NYC today it’s 88 degrees- the labyrinth looks fun, the park however looks like its not a must do for me.

I'm from Cleveland in the US. I went to Cedar Point in mid-May over here once and it was snowing! Haha. Almost reminds me of Cedar Point too. Similar rides and weather closures at a weird time of year.

The weather in the UK has been a disaster this year. It’s May, but if you didn’t know you’d think it was November. I can’t bring myself to go outside for extended periods of time right now, so you look incredibly brave tackling those theme parks in the wind and rain. Glad you’re having fun regardless though.
Just to say how my wife and I have watched and enjoyed your enthusiasm for all that you video. Since lock down, due to my wife illness she has not been out, and finds great comfort in watching. So pleased that you are in UK. We both miss flying from England to Florida as we used to go to Disney every year. As a professional Camera operator, it’s a nice to view a vlogger that does not keep throwing their camera back and forth to much, and giving a report that is interesting. Many thanks Linda & Michael. Nemesis Inferno is one of my favourites - I just wish it had a section where it referenced the "Inferno" with a section blowing hot air / steam at you... Maybe they'd turn it off for the 2 1/2 weeks of summer where it'd be too much, but the rest of the time it'd be so nice!
Sucks you never got to go on Collossus but hope you come in 2024 for the tallest and fastest ride in the uk project exodus (or whatever its called once its built)

Does not seem long that you had been at that park. Time does have a way of going quickly by. Great advice for looking at the floor while in the mirror maze.

17:01 stealths speed and acceleration was increased in 2010 due to excessive rollbacks, stealth now does 0-82 mph in 1.8 seconds

Stealth is actually 0-80 in under 2 seconds. That sign only says 2.7 seconds because thats how fast it launched on the opening year of the coaster. Because the coaster kept rolling back, they made the acceleration faster and they didnt change the sign because the difference was so small.
So awesome! We’re big Black Mirror fans and can’t wait to get lost in that maze! 😂 Love how Thorpe and Alton have kind of a year-round ‘spooky’ vibe. Two more that are on our bucket list, particularly for the Halloween season!
I am amazed that all these themed rides are coasters. Besides that new one, were there any dark rides at this park?
The only sort of dark ride is Darren Brown’s Ghost Train which I’ll show more of in the next vid but sadly they don’t have any traditional dark rides at this particular park.

My first time on Nemesis inferno I said just as soon as the floor dropped I said I regret everything I’ve done (I was row 6) and a little rougher after the zero g roll but I re rode it and loved it

I love your videos Jackie! So! How cold was it really? Floridian cold or really cold? I walk around Florida in shorts and a tee when you guy's are wearing your winter gear! Of course I don't completely close my windows untill it hits 10 outside 🤪. I was sad we couldn't see inside the dead. I believe that was where they were cannibals 😫

It was 90 in Cleveland yesterday but it snowed earlier in the month. Ohio is so weird. I saw it's 55 today in both London and Manchester
Yeah Theme Park Worldwide was just in Thorpe Park. They stayed in the Shark Cabins also.
So did you buy Annual Passes to all of these places you are showing us? Did you buy them now in anticipation of future visits, or did you have them pre-Covid and are just getting around to using them again? An interesting video idea, although not very exciting, would be to discuss the pros and cons of APs. How many visits would make it worthwhile, stuff like that...
I purchased a Merlin annual pass that covers over 30 different theme parks and attractions here in the UK back in 2020. I used it a ton in 2020 in my UK travel vlogs and I’m using it again now! It’s already paid for itself ten times over, it even included one of the castles I visited in 2020! Merlin owns so many attractions here!

I’m surprised that The Black Mirror maze was based on the Black Mirror show for adults! I wish I was old enough to watch Black Mirror since I’m too young enough to watch Black Mirror alone since it’s rated TV-MA.
May this year has been the wettest ever in many parts of the UK, and temperatures 3-4 Celsius degrees colder than average. Big contrast to last year which was the sunniest ever and mostly over 21C/70F. Still things are looking up.

I want to visit Germany’s theme parks and more parks in Europe in general and I definitely will one day! Right now Americans can travel to UK but not to Europe yet.
I do like all the theme parks in the UK, apparently, y’all, went to Black Mirror on a terrible day. They also need to work on there landscaping.
Maybe at a distance the landscaping looks alright.

I remember seeing video of Diana on that log ride with her sons :) Also thanks for the flashing warning...i have no issues with flashing lites but people i know do due to epilepsy so i appreciate the warning!
