    Thanks for making this clear. Too bad the supply chain in this game is still needlessly complex... All we need is a simple get x at y, unload at z and repeat command. Your own stations and traders shouldn't be transferring goods via buy/sell orders and cluttering up the ledger. I wonder what keeps them from simply giving us a transfer goods command.

      this a milion times...
      like seriously:
      -Select ship
      -Click transport resources
      -Then click on a station that has any resource and a list comes up with the available resources on that station select one.
      -Then click on the other station you want to transport it
      -Click on repeat command.
      DONE !

    It would be nice to be able to memorize a ship's order list with repeat order command, so that you can recall it with other ships.
    This command is great because you can distribute all your resources with 100 transporters traveling continuously between all your stations.
    Unfortunately, setting up 100 ships by hand is quite tedious :(

    • @TENGILL

      I wonder if you could put them in a fleet and assign the commander to the station?
      Or would that just make all the subordinates follow the lead ship to the station it is going to?
      Do they still work independently, even if they are in a fleet?

    • @M0ntarro

      And they clog unassigned ship list, they could at lest divide combat and civilian ships. Shure there is icon on the ship type but that is not enough. I heave ui scale/enlarge to 1.3 so I need to name ships short, whish I could put more descriptive names to ships.

    I really hope this gets an overhaul.
    As I found my empire quickly expanding and using this to sell wares across the galaxy...which was okay but then I quickly found that this doesn't seem to work with fleets... which means setting up my new trade outposts populates my "unorganized ships" section of my property.
    Dear Egosoft if you see this; Let "Mimic Behavior" copy the repeat order commands that are given to the fleet leader (buy, sell, ect)

    I've recently become aware of how difficult it is to build a properly planned and selfsustaining factory complex without constantly losing workcrew, something i also believe is an overall issue with the game. Everytime i build a station, i set it up to slightly overproduce everything, which leads of all production units that that gets full, loses their workcrew because there is no work being done.
    The only solution for this, currently, is to plan and build stations which aren't really self sustaining and can't produce enough products.
    I really hope they sort this so you don't lose crew.

    • @CaptainCollins

      That sound like a save game that would be interesting for Egosoft. Provide that info in their forums, maybe it gets fixed 👍

    • @Kessra

      Don't know what you are refering to exactly. But usually workforce goes down if you don't supply enough food and medicine to your people on the station or if you mix multiple different habitats, i.e. Teladi with Argon, and only supply one of them with food. Note that the outlined consumption to production ratio is based on the current number of workforce. It is therefore likely that you didn't expand on the food/medicine part while growing your station. The workforce in addition to that is not required at all to run a station. It will only provide additional yields per production cycle. Loosly speaking you get just additional products for free when supplying enough workforce. If you really plan your station to operate on the limit of that "overproduction" then you should grow your station very slowly as the workforce needs to go hand in hand with the overall station expansion

    I only did this with mining fleets so far, but it should work with one repeat orders commander as well

    Is it just me or is that no longer functional if distance is too great for the captain's rating, even when using repeat orders?
    I had a two star captain caught in a loop of "not finding" trade offers that were too far away, even though satellites clearly showed that the configured trades were very possible. If I moved the cargo vessel within two sectors of the solar power stations, it suddenly found wares to buy, but would now refuse to sell to my trading station.
    Such a change is devastating to Terran players trying to establish temselves in the Protectorate.

    Is there any reason why he assigns the station traders instead of just using repeat orders to distribute the ore/silicon? I've tried both methods and it just seems like station traders have a lot more downtime/idling compared to repeat orders.

    • @CaptainCollins
      @CaptainCollins  3 года назад

      No, because "Distribute Wares" is limited by the star rating of your pilot. More than 5 systems away? Will never work. Your pilot only has 1 star? Good luck finding anything :)

    This method does not work if the station "buying" the ware does not have an operating budget. My shipyard station has an estimated budget of 500 million CR. If I dont feed it with at least a 50 million CR it wont "buy" the wares.

    • @arigen1985
      @arigen1985 3 года назад

      I agree. I have the same problem where my traders only sell a part of their load e.g. medical supplys (like 150 out off 1k loaded) if the station does not have enough money. In the worst case if i allocate no money at all they wont sell any wares even if the sell price is set at the lowest for the traders. In the current build of the game its very annoying to supply your own stations.

    • @CaptainCollins
      @CaptainCollins  3 года назад +1

      Hi, I'm live at the moment and proofed that it is exactly working like I told you in this video. The trading station has 0 credits and the L traders are unloading ALL wares just like showed. I don't get the Point, why you don't just trade the refined product ? I just calculated it for Ore/ReMetals. You need 2,72 Ore for 1 Refined Metal. Ore is 10m³ ReMe is 14m³. Taking the Shuyaku for ReMetals (44.000 m³) and the Crane for Ore (57600 m³). You could Transport 3142 Units of ReMetals with the Shuyaku and 5760 Units of Ore with the Crane. 5760 / 2,72 = 2117 the equivalent of ReMetals you would get with the Ore-Trader per Run. It's a little closer with gas, but why the hassle with if you could just trade the intermediate product.

    • @CaptainCollins

      Refined Metals is not a terran ware and will not be useful. This is Cradle of Humanity DLC.
