My dax is still going strong. I replaced the rear tyre today after 5000 miles and it's still doing precisely what I want it to do and looks good doing it.
I have wondered if I would have preferred a monkey but I can't say I'm anything other than impressed with all these grom family 125s
    Good video Dick!

Looks great and will be a lovely lanes explorer. I can see why Mrs W didn't want to wrap it!

These have always looked like a novelty/toy purchase to me. I'd have to go with a SuperCub or the CT if I wanted something of that ilk. But glad you're loving the quirk!

As I’ve already acquired the CT for our Wales home, I thought two of the same bike was a wasted opportunity, but I would agree if I did t already have one.
      Thanks for the comment.

Everytime I see MSX 125 it makes me think of the MBX 125 or the MTX125 those were great bikes. The msx is not only small but it's air cooled and has about 9hp.

Novel choice Dick, would be a dry weather only ride in that trim. Hope you get the fender situation sorted out. .

I hate when that happens. Did I detect a hint of OCD in your disgust? 😂😂😂 As always, very entertaining, thanks!

You can buy a splash guard that bolts over the back of the rear tyre check them out do a search that will cut out the need to swap the tail tidy

I’ve seen them. They all seem to be in China… also made for 15-18 much wheels. Don’t know how far it would sit off of my 12 inch wheel. I am considering it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I like this model better than the current one which costs 1620 GBP in Thailand. Not keen on the 12'' wheels, though. There are other mini bikes over here with 15'' wheels and 150cc engines. I'll have to look up the makes and let you know what they are so you can google them.
Does the Grom feel stable at 58/60 MPH?
7:21 I don't like the new design, either.
I was looking forward to this video, and it's a good one. Great purchase. The best colour, too. You could get the seat built up so it's flat. Then you could move around. Nick

Sorry missed your comment earlier. It is very stable at and above 60mph.

Way ahead of ya! Stock chain guard/higher AND fender already ordered from trusty eBay sellers…

@@chrishart8548nah. It’s fine. They are often removed. I’m more worried about the hugger portion missing and not protecting the shock and underside of the bike from road grime.

Oh, believe me. I was not trying to “sell” anyone on the Grom. In order of practicality and usability the Honda miniMotos should be ranked as follows: CT125, Super Cub, Dax, Monkey and only then, the Grom. The Navi and Ruckus/Zoomer may even rank higher than the Grom! I’m under no illusions as to the flaws and oddities of the Grom. The douche cult alone is enough to put one off of owning one. And yet… I must own one. And yet… I see it as the most authentic and relevant of all of the current miniMotos.
As always, thanks for your comment.
