Thanks for the response. I admire ANYONE who can accomplish such a feat. I'm thinking about a DIY cat or trimaran but I think I'll get my feet wet with a 4-6 meter size. I suspect smaller projects have smaller and less expensive mistakes. I thank you for posting these videos. A GREAT resource for any even considering such an undertaking. Thanks for sharing!
Hi John, costs vary considerably depending on your inclusions and your own 'wishlist' of goodies. Some have been built from the $80K, others to $140K (and I suspect there are a few that are more). Our weight came in just under 5 tonne. This too depends on your fuel, water and all the extra bits you add on top of the deign specifications. Hope this helps and appreciate you looking at our videos.
Hi Santakart, it started as a hobby and took 4 1/2 years. I had sailed previous on smaller yachts, in fact built a smaller yacht from wood. There is no ballast in the keels. I am not sure of any catamaran of this size that does have ballast. The plans gave some suggestions, but we ended up sourcing most of our supplies over the internet. We have more and better movies at ruclips.net/user/diycatamaran. More DIY information also on the diycatamaran website. Thanks for looking
I am planning to start building a 11 meter catamaran, but I cannot find any information on how the weight and pressure of the mast is supported. In your pictures is it only the forward bulkhead? And how about the chain plates supporting structure? Great build by the way. I admire your skills.
Hi Jaycen Appreciate your kind words. Discuss your queries with the designer, they are fairly specific on how they are built. It would be remiss of me to misguide you and others in this area.
+Puremajek I didn't take any pictures but I might but it won't be in the right form as when I made it its is kinda. A wreck broke into two while I was fishing thank god It did not break but Ya I might take picture if I chose to fix it
I have watch ed all of your vids, this was quite an undertaking. First question why? second it appears that it was about a 3 year project, and I am sure tht you learned a lot did you sail before? do you have a back ground using wood? as you did the hulls did you have to use ballast in the keel? I have seen the plans that are available, did they give you suggestions where to fine materials and the other componets for your build? Thank You for your vids and trips
*They have a fantastic website here. I think it's probably the best resource that I have seen for boat builders [Check Details Here==>**t.co/bqkyWnfKRC** ] . Who want to make their boat by themselves then it would be the best product. I look forward to the newsletter each month. Thanks*

difficult to analyse this construction from a few photographs.
A drawing plan would have been useful and some indication of physical dimensions
