Remember now everyone, homelessness is a booming business for the politicians with LLCs that provides services for these homeless. In turn they pass bills to “fund” these services aka money laundering.
Exactly. Homelessness create jobs and garner funds. It’s big business in SF and quite possibly already along the rail from Middle Street, through Kalihi, to Chinatown.
There’s no real incentive for politicians to solve the problem when their cronies are making bank off the crisis. In CA, the state can’t account for all the billions that was supposedly spent on homeless programs.
You guys should check out the encampment in Wahiawa, next to Whitmore park. State just cleared out the bushes a couple of days ago but now they live in the park, rite next door.
Hawaii is "Slipping-Away" - its becoming NYC or S.F. - It used to be a Paradise. It was once my favorite place on earth. Very Sad they are allowing this Deterioration.
Hawaii is also slipping away because of all the tourist treating our home like it’s their own personal amusement park. They bring all their crappy ways of mainland life. Dangerous driving, self entitlement and rude and obnoxious behavior. I’d rather the tourist leave than the local homeless.
@@user-vg6ih2vl5s It's as though people have lost all: morals, manners & respect. You would not believe what is happening in NYC = too lenient, no consequences or repercussions.
Growing alarm? What about the encampment on Kalakaua near King street. Blatantly in everyones face. Fortified even. On the embankment, in the drainage ditch under King street. And everyone sees it and just lets it go... Come on Mayor. Come on Governor. We all see your non action.
Yeah also the underpass at Piikoi and Lunalilo, always big encampment there and I saw two of them banging the other night LOL. Free show for me I guess, but what if there was kids around. Messed up. Throw Blangiardi and Green down there with some brooms get it cleaned out lol
The Supreme Court just ruled that homelessness can be considered a crime so the state and county governments can start to force these people into shelters
This^... Local people have no idea how fucking gone mainland is. 100% taken over by illegals. Zero assimilation, trashy neighborhoods, reproducing at alarming rates, and not a single value for education, authority, or anything that resembles a proper future. Most illegals don't know that they can come to Hawaii but when they find out = they'll take over any and every neighborhood, do jobs at 1/2 the price, and neighborhoods will turn into a 3rd world country in less than 12 months.
Need to keep the homelessness out of there and maybe need to call hpd more. We need people to feel safe and secure and not have unwanted business there.
Let me get this straight. The state and city want to propose eradicating chickens because they're noisy and cats because they carry diseases. Is there anything else on their proposed agenda for eradicating the homeless.
Everyone person should adopt a homeless person; welcome them in their house, have them part of their family, love them, house them, feed them, and life would be grand!
Question where are people homeless to live? If they are cleared out , they just come back . Need to change laws 3 strikes for even homeless locals and a one way ticket is purchased and no return . Mainland sends us their problems , we can send ours away with no entrance allowed . We are fooling ourselves with the laws and systems we have now . At least 3 fentanyl overdoses daily. . We can not continue this way . Only fooling ourselves with affordable housing just the cost for land is not affordable and the property taxes due , just increases . Hawaiians have died waiting for their legal right to a home . They could have given what's due but just pushing it back and that's what will happen with affordable housing and other states will keep sending us their headaches. We need action now before we are totally overrun by homeless people.
One way ticket to Hawaii is a booming business for the officials on the island. They collect the funding and dump the homeless on the island with no aid.
You know what... By Sheer Coincidence i also live in 'Garden Homes' (Projects)but in Los Angeles that is also adjacent to a Stream like that. I also drive past another Project with the same config with a flood control channel by it. Someone obviously planned things out to be this way, they wanted low income people to live near thede Flood Control channels.
In America now, even the employed and those who work are homeless and live in their cars. Many elderly on fixed incomes are now homeless. You cannot judge all of the homeless as dirty and lazy. Politicians have been lazy when it comes to solving the homeless issue!
How's the Governor's "Homeless Czar" John Mizuno doing?! Does he ever get EVALUATIONS or is this a Lifetime Apoointment?!
Good question!
Criminalizing homelessness and consider it unsafe to the community should help
The Supreme Court just did that
These career politicians value the criminals over the safety our children. You get what you vote for.
What island are you from?
This is the affordable housing that our local leaders keep talking about. Enjoy
😂 good one 🤙🤙
Not funny..
Helping out👍

Why is this legal. The States, or city and country, are endangering people's lives to let this happen.
They know the criminals are down there but rather let them do what they want than arrest them??
What happened to the beautiful Hawaii?
You guys should check out the encampment in Wahiawa, next to Whitmore park. State just cleared out the bushes a couple of days ago but now they live in the park, rite next door.

The guy under the bridge was doing a sweep.
I guess if you are going to be homeless, doing so in Hawaii wouldn’t be too bad.
It's been there for decades.
Just like they cleaned-up SF for China, they're doing the same to Hawaii - for China, not residents.
Too many out of state people are driving out locals
ITS ALL OVER THE WORLD NOW, AND ALL THESE GOV WONT HELP THE POOR PEOPLE

The amount of Trash brought in by these people is unbelievable! Something has to be done
We can offer all the help we can but if they can't follow rules how do u help the homeless some homeless would rather b homeless then get help

Sweeps from time to time, hoping for more. What is this, a skit? 😂
Some homeless want or just need abit of help. Not these. They don’t want help even if offered.
good catch lmfao editors having their fun
Of course they are lawless
You think this is bad now it is going to get thousand times worse when the open borders hit Hawaii. Yes, they will fly them in if not already. 2:16

I seriously doubt ANY state is sending homeless people to Hawaii. You must be on some of that fentanyl that you mention.
