      How is this government greed? You sound like one of those millennials that are nothing more than parrots spewing whatever they heard with no concept of the meaning.

    They say nothing about the illegal gambling houses and sex trafficking or drugs. I guess Caldwell doesn't want to talk about that part of the cycle.

    Most popular cities and places of paradise are like this, beyond Hawaii, no matter the political party in control. The local people in such places of paradise usually get the short hand of the stick, low pay wages, etc.

    How many people in the world would like to live in Hawaii? I lived there from 1977 to 1988. I moved away because it was already too crowded and too expensive. But at that time there wasn't a serious homeless problem.

      that must of been just after the big hotel boom. lots of hotels are built in the 70s. i think the international market place then was a exciting spot then.

    The actual homeless issue. Any homeless person who is willing to be honest. They will tell you this.. The majority of homelessness is a drug/ alcohol addiction problem.

    • @wj3186
      @wj3186 2 года назад +1

      Not exactly. Homelessness is a sociopolitical problem. As a consequence of colonialism and military occupation, our society does not respect property ownership as an unalienable right of citizens depite this being a republic. Instead it has been regarded as a privilege. Change that policy and homelessness could be eradicated nationwide in 2 yrs or less. The space exists; people just aren't taking responsibilty for their role in advocating parasitic rent-seeking and space-hoarding behaviors.

      @@wj3186 Leftist run cities are paying the homeless. They get money and everything for free, they have allowed petty crime to go unpunished. The Democrats are getting exactly what they are creating.

    Stop the homeless from coming to Hawaii. People arrive here in Hawaii because they can tolerate the weather. Send them back to the mainland. They use the system to take from Hawaii government. We have enough local people here suffering. Government officials in Hawaii need to step it up!

    Its ridiculous that the priest advocates for homeless encampment in Waikiki. The police in Waikiki arrest all homeless people from elderly to child if they even nap on the beach. You can't even use the public bathrooms at night. Once arrested for being homeless, that person is barred for life from public government housing because the law says you can't be convicted of crimes and live in low income housing. So don't encourage the locals to break the law in Waikiki and risk being barred from low income government housing over a 30 day jail sentence.

      That priest is sitting in a big empty building and doesn't pay taxes. Yet says it the govt (OUR tax money) that should pay for it. I hate religious hypocrites.

    Tell them to pray silently to themselves, why do they have to make such a big production ? Muslims are not held to the same standards as Christians, Americans, and other workers. They are given special treatment as not to upset them!

      The scam is the Federal Reserve. Socialism has been infecting U.S. policy since the 1800's. It's basically just the natural progression of colonialism and capitalism. Why allow people freedom and self determination when currency manipulation, conflict and displacement give the perpetuators of these cultural models exactly what they want?
