She feels new things isnt actually content. Dont hope for any new things. She kind of basically told me the space platform and I guess the new planets are all you need. Content isnt new machines, Is new biters not content or is that separate?

So this is shift to DSP gameplay, you have to get resources from other planets
DSP is completely different. The interface is different, the way you fly to planets is different. Long before DSP came alo9ng, we had the Space Exploration mod in Factorio, so it's an idea based off of that.
@@KatherineOfSky yes , SE is older probably the inspiration...Im hoping it's a bit more streamlined than SE , the circuits and etc needed it's something I've yet to learn , seems very fiddly

Bit worried this DLC is very very sparse regards "No new content". Where are the uber hi-tech nano machines? So far its been a few new items and mostly just a space platform and new plants. Then ALOT of quality of life stuff. Which is great but I want to Strip Mine a planet once I hit Space Age.

That's TONS of content.
You haven't mentioned the new mechanics, like the quality system, weather on planets, etc.
@@KatherineOfSky Its VERY little in new content-Actual new machines. You cant tell me this is an actual worth DLC if its just mainly a space platform and maybe it looks like 5 new machines. Oh and 5 reskinned planets. Does a "faster" belt count when there is mods for it. Quality of life isn't a DLC. Its a patch or version update. Cool if that is your flavour. But I want Machines. Start with a Stacked 2 lane or 3 lane inserter. Combat drones for one. I had theory the reason why we never heard anything about the DLC in 2023 was because WUBE had NOTHING. We saw one picture of a brain bug. Nothing further. And they not claiming Start up, new studio, passion project doing it on our own time Studio. They a paid studio making money off its STEAM listing. Factorio is doing still well sales wise. My Point hire more Staff and get things going. They said they wanted a DLC to be just as good as the base vanilla game. You cant justify this DLC as just as good. Spent time on updated textures when most of us dont care about about cliff placements or trees or grass level of details Again. Quality of Life fronted as a DLC-but said its "Free". Rather sell the updates to the UI or train management GUI as part of the DLC then I will say okay then. Lastly I am buying. That makes me a consumer of a product. Not a blind fan boi. Would pay more for more. Just give me that choice.

@@KatherineOfSky What is content then? Let me understand what you like. The space platform is a MOD already -Space Exploration. By the guy that now works for Wube. A new planet must be the highlight of your idea of cool new things. Re-skins Then again a whole channel set up to factorio for subs / money coming in I can see why you a "Fan boi". Gamers like you are people who like micro transactions or pay to win in like EA titles. Wube doesn't get a free pass because they made a "factory" game you created playlists to. That is like me saying you dont play Brutality Doom, its above criticism so what do you know.

You are being extremely rude. My channel is setup for my videos to entertain the general public. As it is my full time profession, of course I make money from it. I do not like microtransactions, and do not play games that are pay to win.
I am a huge fan of factorio because it is one of the most engaging games ever made. If you don't want to buy the DLC, which has TONS of content (regardless of whether you understand th4e term or not), then DON'T BUY IT. Also, if you had any experience in gaming, you would know that in the past, updates to games were RARELY made, and then, rarely free. Factorio has had continuous updates, including content, bug fixes, UI improvements, etc. I am more than happy to pay for a DLC because of content we have already gotten over the past few YEARS.
Wube has done a stellar job of keeping the game fresh and squashing bugs as well as listening to their playerbase. That is not an opinion, it is a verifiable fact.
