Taiwan was nearly successful in developing 8 nuclear weapons in 1987, but America stopped the program after discovering it.
If this is supposed to be so "SECRET", WHY is RUclips blabbing about it..?
Clickbait.
Good point and also who else is going to click on a video that’s already been repeated by the same guy more than 60 times and counting.

Taiwan needs to learn to laugh at Chinese representatives soon as they make stupid threats.
Taiwan recently announced that these microchip foundries can be disabled remotely if China invades the country.
The three g o r g e s dam is on Taiwan list
Didn't see your comment but I just said the exact same thing! 😅
Gee wasn't the Three Gorges Dam about to bust anyway ?
The thing is, Taiwan doesn't even need to breach the 3 Gorges Dam. It just needs to take out the power generation plant and the dam becomes worthless.
When Taiwan hits those dams, China will reduce Taiwan to below the Pacific Ocean , so consider who is more able to bear the consequences.!
@@Wbliss I'm sure 600m people will be priority. Otherwise ccp will be fully globally exposed if they choose to ignore.
China may have 2 million active troops You need to remove from that number those that are used for garrison duties around the Chinese border, on the artificial island and their massive deployments on the Indian border. If China removed its Indian border Garrisons (not border guards) India would move into the disputed territory and build fortified posts so the amount of active fitting troops less support and admin would be under 500.000 guys with guns and the support would be 200.000 maybe a bit hard to juggle. oops not to forget other countries with Chinese troops deployed like Tibet and Mongolia these troops can not be moved back home and would have to stay in place. with all the deployed troops you do the math 500.000 & 200.000 may overstated??
Exactly so if they take Taiwan they’ll lose all the other territories
Not to mention the fact that China has virtually no reserves. They can’t take the chance of having armed forces that they don’t have an iron grip over. A huge amount of Chinese training time is devoted to ideological indoctrination. The Taiwanese on the other hand have universal conscription for men. Previously, it was active duty for training only. Recently, they increased the conscription too I believe over a year. If they fully activated all of their reserves, they would have over 800,000 troops.
Moreover those troops would be bottlenecked by the transports they have available
Almost you shouldn't have pissed off your neighbors and landgrabbing them
don't forget the vast majority of their army will be deployed to contain civil unrest. They can't even take on India in border fist fights
Interestingly, Taiwan having nuclear weapons means that China would never touch Taiwan at all.
China could "considered it a declaration of war" all they like.
But they would never invade Taiwan if Taiwan had nuclear weapons.
if it is that simple, the US has long supported it. It was the US that halted the nuclear bomb research on Taiwan.
You underestimate the level of hatred that exists between the CCP and TPP. The CCP in Beijing still holds the Kuomintang descendants responsible for the devastation China suffered after the civil war, including Mao's "Great Leap Forward" which killed between 25 and 60 million people by starvation and the Tianenmen Square massacre. The CCP refuses to claim responsibility for policies they implimented that led to those events. Just like our ruling elite will never accept or claim responsibility for policies they enact that might lead to a civil war or national divorce.
SAME as the US does with Nkorea
@@crazy791326 USA is terrified of any country other than them obtaining nukes. After all, it is the richest coutry on earth, has much more to lose than any other.
I think the idea is that nuclear weapons & the knowledge of how to build them is only known to a small handful of stable countries - and they try to keep it that way
If every country on Earth had nuclear weapons, nobody would ever invade anybody else. And that would be bad for business.
"And Beijing would likely take that as a straight-up declaration of war."
You mean, another war on top of the one that technically is still ongoing because there has been no peace treaty and neither government officially recognizes the other?

Did you see the pictures of the Chinese invasion fleet massing for Taiwan ? You didn't ? Because there is no invasion fleet. There is no Mr. Cornpop either. But Ray Epps was real.
So was Orville Redenbacher and Chef Boyardee.
Well thanks to you china has already new plans for Taiwan 😂😂😂
@4:00
The narrator says 1944. The closed caption says 1994.
China invade Taiwan? I hardly think so. And there are three good reasons for this.
1) Xi's position is not secure enough to risk invading Taiwan, and failing in the process. If he chooses to stay in power for the rest of his life he will not risk throwing it all away like Putin is doing in Ukraine. China has a great deal to lose and very little to gain.
2) Invading Taiwan is easier said than done. The Taiwan Straight is notorious for any sort of troop transport. Even with all their missiles the PLA would be sitting ducks as they headed towards Taiwan's beaches. And even a moderately well disciplined force would then proceed to slaughter the PLA on the beaches if they didn't get blown out of the water on the way in.
3) The USA and Japan, plus other regional powers, would likely come to Taiwan's aid should the CCP decide on using force to control Taipei.
Additionally there will be significant financial loss for China if they went to war with Taiwan. There would be certain disruption in Pacific theatre commerce, and severe sanctions for them to deal with. Not to mention loss of units on their borders and the risk what allies they have might turn on them and use the opportunity to seize their territory.
Things would go very poorly if Xi's CCP chose to invade. What is more likely is......sshhh.....
........(lil pinks are everywhere.)
Slava 🇹🇼 Geroyam TAIWANese 🦾
But Xi is getting visibly older and may not have many years left. He might just go for the glory before he dies.
If he invades the west would cut Chinese manufacturing over a period and Xi and China would lose jobs and access to minerals, Iron Ore and primary infrastructure resources many of which comes from Australia.
Anyone who knows anything about the situation knows it makes no sense for China to invade Taiwan .. the problem is that China's economy is fast collapsing into the toilet and the CCP's stronghold is getting weaker. The danger is not that China will do it because it makes sense, but as the last writhings of Xi and the CCP in spite of the fact it would completely wreck China.
The main reason the talking heads fear China will invade (sooner rather than later) are due to a couple of reasons.
First is the long term decline in population. Due to the party's one child program. It has left china with a population decline that will take generations to undue the damage done with the one child program. Mainly is because the population is dropped to a level that there are more retiries than workers by almost 3 to 1 ratio. So by 2027 they physically can provide the military with the forces after 2027 without crippling their economy by pulling workers off jobs for military service but if they don't the number of soldiers will be too low for a quick victory and it will turn into another Ukraine.
The second is related to the first. And that is due to there are too few females to build the population since the one child program that resulted in the death of the majority of babies born during that time period. So that limits the female to male ratio of 1 to 4. So 3/4 of the men won't have a Chinese wife if they can get permission to get married to a foreign national their children will suffer from racism and be ostracized because they are mixed. So after 2027 the population decline will lead to China most likely giving up control of Mongolia, and Tibet along with the disputed border area with India. So they are in a position of three years if they wish to unify before it becomes impossible logistically due to manpower shortages.
Godspeed Taiwan 🇹🇼. 🇺🇸♾️😎
Could they develop a cannon that could reach the dam? I mean Taiwan has enormous guns already. If they utilize a hybrid rocket assist extended range sabot round in one of those guns they might be able to make it work.
Taiwan may be interested in the japaneese electromagnetic rail gun that they are dumping tons of money on. As a line of sight counterbto fast hypersonic missles, a rail gun offers rapid direct fire as long as the guns are up high enough, Taiwan has steep maintains that may make it suitable as a railgun battery site. Range is more tied to total hight and earth's curvature to target to 3 gorges
@@paulelder9488 that might work too. Honestly I feel like Taiwan and Ukraine both could benefit being test sites for direct energy missile defense systems assuming they work.
I think their using a Kite for the dam.
It's theoretically possible, but at least with publicly known technology (batteries and gun barriers for that range are much bigger than missile launchers), the logistics chain needed for such a thing would be quite sensitive to being discovered and attacked. If you consider opportunity cost, you would be better off with a ballistic missile submarine (that is mobile) rather than a big gun.
Think of the extremely large cannons (railway guns, V-3 cannon) that were built in World War II: there were analysts calculating how many tanks, bombers, or conventional artillery pieces you could have built for the cost of operating one of those guns.
That said I don't think any physics say the cannon would always be worse than ballistic missiles: if we evolved electromagnetic technology and mass drivers more than we did rocket and internal combustion engine technology like a lot of alt-history in steampunk plot lines, the cannon would be "cheaper".
A few trolls trying to save Taiwan.. Lol😂😂😂
