I get more oil on my fingers just checking dip stick level! Any idea how many transmissions you've done over the years?
Great content on the channel! Wish I were closer, I have a 1959 Fordomatic that leaks like a sieve..................

This trans seems to have a bad reputation..
It seems to be a common issue with the pins on the planetary.
With that fixed is it pretty reliable?
Would it be worth pulling the trans and welding those pins/inspect/replace to save bigger issues down the line.. or just wait it out?...
How many miles before it becomes a problem?

If you have high mileage, it might be worth going in and fixing it before it comes apart. Hard to say how many miles you can get out of it. Seen them with low mileage fail, seen some with high mileage and still ok.
