Zippkits is celebrating their 10th year in business, and Joe Petro and his team have been supplying very high-quality wood kits and rc boating hardware for the entire time! I'm an avid fan of the Zippkits racing lineup of gas boats, so naturally I make my way to their booth at Toledo first to see what's new. Good Post ! My TUGSTER is a GREAT rescue boat for our local racing. Not too many SPRINGER TUG RESCUE BOAT KITS available! Am now modding it for FPV and to be platform for collecting aquatic environmental info with a data collection interface and sensors from VERNIER SOFTWARE of Oregon.

Which type of paint should be used on the Tugster hull to make it waterproof??

If you are in doubt, spray with polyurethane Varnish over the top coat. that should give protection for the paint and seal the boat. Use good quality Yacht varnish or outdoor Varnish. and remember to make a test piece before mix different brands of paint and Varnish.
