@@aanimavilis1492 Not always tbh, you have to understand that the artist is from another culture and it may just have been a happy accident. Things can also get obscured in language.
It's also spelled like "harpe", the weapon Perseus used to cut off Medusa's head, so that almost gives the line a double meaning.

I know she turns to stone at the end there, but I still interpret this as her just running into a blind minstral and him being terrified after learning shes a Gorgon, but eventually coming around to it. Even ancient evil monsters need love too ya know. Or maybe I've just been reading too many romance novels.... naaaaah.

I understood that too, she isn't a evil monster she as turned into a monster by the gods, if I am right maybe is inspired by the Camus, Medusa was a pretty woman who got R... By Poseidon on the Athena's temple but the goodness didn't helped her but cursed her for no reason
Then on this music lore she found a blind man but when him find outs she is a monster he tried to flee but she captured him and told her story but yet her mind is twisted for being not truly loved and suffering a Injust punishment.
@sausageilluminati2602 There's many tellings of Medusa's story. Like, a lot.
The most common is Ovid's. In his Medusa story, as you mentioned, she is assaulted by Poseidon in Athena's temple. People tend to build off this one the most because it has the most characterization and is the most tragic.
It should be noted that there is some dispute on whether or not Medusa was assaulted at all due to some wording choice by Ovid. The word he used "Vitiasse" is vague and _can_ mean "R*pe" but can also mean "to spoil" or "to taint." Since priestesses of Athena were meant to be chaste, this could just mean she was "tainted" in the sense she was no longer a "pure" chaste woman by having a toss in the temple with Poseidon. Either way, Athena gets mad and curses her.
Also, Ovid was an anti-authoritarian Roman writing about Greek myth like, 700 years later, so anything he has to say should be taken with a grain of salt.
There's also Hesiod's version where she is always a monster and is the only mortal, and most beautiful, of 3 Gorgon sisters. Those being Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale. She willingly lays with Poseidon in a meadow of flowers in this version.
There are many others as well. My personal favorite is that Medusa simply claimed her beauty rivaled Aphrodite's, and thus Aphrodite got pissy and gave her snake hair. I just think that one's funny.
At the end of the day, Medusa is as tragic, evil, or whatever as you want her to be. There's no "definitive" version of her, so it really just depends on which you like.
Oh, and sorry for the wall of text, I just like Medusa.
