1. Voice Over: Press and hold to quiet any music or audio and speak over it. 2. Music Vocal Cancel:press this button to drown out vocals and allow instrumentals to take over. Press again to stop the effect. I love this! I bought it yesterday and came to your tutorial to learn about it. Thank you. Great video!
cant complain for 25 bucks. perfect for starters or even experts who need a back up or portable cheap audio device/interface/mixer for on the go.. crazy deal
So that explains a *LOT*, thanks for this review purely for demystifying this thing. I got one at Goodwill for $5, expecting it to work much like my old USB audio adapter, but with knobs. Nope. It doesn't play any audio back from the PC it's plugged into (at least not on Linux, turns out Novation must have done the hardware work for Vivitar, because that's what the device IDs as). getting audio is what the music dial is for. Though it seems to tolerate having both that and bluetooth going at once.
I want to thank you for this. Great breakdown on this unit. I will get on, just because of this review. Music Voice Canceler is supposed to take vocals off a song so you can sing as the main vocalist.
I wanted this mixer but i have an XLR Mic. I heard people say to buy an xlr to 3.5mm adapter but ive also heard that its not optimal for taking advantage of the XLR mic. Would an adapter be fine or should i get an XLR input mixer. I have a Rode Podmic if that helps.
@@gloriadiaz612 yeah it seems that the podmic requires 48v phantom power so I went with the fifine mixer instead. I still really like what this mixer offers though.
So I'm going to school for this isn't a bad drive for the price music vocal cancel makes it so you can take out the voice of a song you like. For instance now you have a karaoke track
Mono caster will work great for it, I use it with my pioneer mixer on the audio output n the sound is very clear 👌 n sounds great well worth the money 💰

Can explain how to use the Bluetooth on it
Very good basic orientation for a beginner like me.
Nice review!!! Well done!
Mono caster rocks well worth ur money 💰
thank you very helpful
@@TerryJulianLive I'm glad! Have a great day
this thing sucks , im a producer and use scarlet 2i2 but how do I use this with my scarlet ?
I just picked one up yesterday. They marked them down to $18.
Does this work on tiktok live streams?
Nice job explaining!
Thank you so much!
Awesome, what kind of microphone did you use ?
I used this mic specifically

How do you turn off mic monitoring so you don’t hear yourself?

I think a rode podmic might be a little too powerful for this, but i havent honestly tried it yet. A 3.5 mm mic is best for this.
@@gloriadiaz612 yeah it seems that the podmic requires 48v phantom power so I went with the fifine mixer instead. I still really like what this mixer offers though.
@@DocGG_VT Fifine is a good choice too!
mine is getting this constant buzzing. Any way to fix this?
I have both devices. Only problem I had with the vivitar was that it didn’t have the connection for a usb mic. Other than that, I liked it.
I hope you do a video demonstrating the voice over
Music vocal cancel lowers vocals in song so essentially only plays music like in karaoke
This will not work with a yeti mic FYI lol you will get a Buch of static. You need the mic she reviewed..
That’s what is happening to me 😢
And when I plug in my elgato too shi sucks

what software do u use, can u do a softwar and set up vid, or please reply
I recorded this straight from my phone no software needed... but i guess you could use garage band if youre an apple user
@@gloriadiaz612wait so you used this with your phone? And recorded at the same time? Can you kinda explain that
Thanks for the video.👍
Anybody having the issues with playback in the headphones? I have the headphone and mic combo. I hear myself and can't find out what it is!
If I don't have wired headphones can I use Bluetooth headphones
No Bluetooth headphones won't work they need to be input by a 3.5mm cable
I thought it said Bluetooth
does it have n output? to connect to a mixer controller?
Mono caster will work great for it, I use it with my pioneer mixer on the audio output n the sound is very clear 👌 n sounds great well worth the money 💰
can you use it on ps5?
Great review
Thank you!
do not be fooled,. because of the cheapness. I have it and for me it is better than the TASCAM brand
Do you think it will work with headphones that have a mic on it.....
I don't know.
