I have watched the video now, I was right.
Kokomi is am academic who got voted into the student council as a write in candidate and is, like, 99% ready to become a burnout if she had one really bad day.
I've also decided that Jean ran for president but lost due to all the write in votes for Kokomi. Jean is now acting as Vice President and is effectively in charge when Kokomi hides in the library because she can't take it anymore.

i understand how true that is. i was one of the theatre kids for the first couple of years of high school. the venti (derogatory) kind lol. proceeded to become one of the student council burnouts in my final 2 years.

I honestly agree with everything you chose! BUT hear me out; as a Chongyun main he gives me the vibes that he'd be naruto running down the hall! He's definetly a quiet academic like on the outside but he's probably friends with some of the emo kids and he'd 100% wear cosplay to school if he got the opportunity too.

also following this up with more headcanons/additional details because they're fun to write lol:
- Kazuha IS a theater kid but he joined solely for shakespeare, chekov, and other sophisticated plays; after his first semester he gets roped into a production of guys and dolls or something and is bewildered but makes friends
- Ganyu gives off heavy "not on the student council but her mom is a teacher so other students are kinda hesitant to do anything against the rules within her line of sight in case cloud retainer hears about it" energy to me, like she's not on the student council but its aura follows her wherever she goes
- Bennett plays timpani and triangle and nothing in between; also he started a band freshman year and entered the talent competition but every possible thing went wrong and all his band mates left (maybe this year Fischl and Barbara and Xinyan are helping him out)
- Diluc and Kaeya both *have* been on the student council, and both skip a lot of meetings to go be bad boys who don't care about the rules, but Diluc ended up joining the nerd gang purely because Kaeya was already in tight with the burnouts and he refused to be associated with him
- Itto is a jock but he's also bought oregano from Kaeya 17 times thinking it was weed. Every time he convinces himself that SURELY Kaeya wouldn't sell him fake drugs AGAIN....and he does. Itto has never gotten high despite spending half his money on apparent drug deals with Kaeya. Also, yes, Itto IS a male cheerleader which probably started as a dare but he really liked it and if anyone tries to give him shit for it he gets INTENSE about it
- Gorou is on the student council but Yae pulled some strings and now he also has to be the mascot for Itto's football team
- Noelle is one of those choir girls who really really really WANTS to be a Soprano and get solos like Barbara, but she's actually a lovely mezzo (it's just her vision dilemma about wanting anemo and to be a knight but in an AU, sue me)
- Razor insists on playing a dog or wolf in the other kids' Warrior Cats LARP sessions during recess
- Shenhe is one year older than all the other seniors because, while she IS a quiet academic, a teacher gave her a D on a paper for dumb reasons last year and she fully punched them in the stomach with zero hesitation. she was then held back
- People THINK Thoma is the one straight boy in the theater department who everyone has a crush on because he has that energy, but he's bi because I say so lol, also he's just weirdly good at a lot of things?? He just gives off vibes of like "he IS a band/theater kid but he's involved in literally everything"
- Venti is 1000% the one who somehow brings booze to the cast party when he's a freshman
- Yoimiya is a cheerleader but she has a lot of nerd and burnout friends because she loves chemistry and being her lab partner basically means an explosion is guaranteed to happen

I can agree with all of these EXCEPT Kokomi. She’s extremely socially awkward kind of like Komi and social interactions drain her energy greatly, I think she would be a quiet academic as it’s canon that she LOVES reading and is only divine priestess because it’s in her blood.

Diluc is one of the most popular people in Mondstadt. But he’s also incredibly talented, calculated, and intelligent. He is well spoken and gets along with others when he isn’t around the knights or fighting evil. The guy is a smooth operator in every way possible.

i agree on most of this but i do feel like xingqiu would be more of a theatre kid. he's definitely crossing the line of academic and theatre kid, but considering his love for reading and stuff of that nature, i'd feel like he would definitely fit as an actor for the fancy old fashioned shakespeare theatres. plus, he doesn't seem to be very antisocial, so i do think he'd have the courage to be a bit more outward and not fear being a bit cringe
The tier list is flawed blatantly, I mean even tiers don't really correlate, how is the Naruto running kid worse than the quiet academic and if they're are not based on that then why are they not distinctive enough, a quiet kid can also be a student council and theatre kid. The Naruto running down the hall could also be a popular kid and student council (literally my school).

I love this. You were definitely in the band kid group as a kid. I was the quiet academic but then had a way too many bad days and fell to the burn out category. And yeah, Bennett would 100% be a percussionist. He's also the one who keeps dropping and losing his drumsticks and gets told to stop rushing the band. I'm not sure why, but he's also giving me some trumpet vibes. I don't know, though I sort of feel bad saying that, but it also lines up with NEVER COMING IN ON TIME. Sorry, if I have to hear another "I love your confidence and keep it up, but wrong timing" after the conductor stops the band and I was finally going to come in after 38 bars of rests, I'll probably loose it

Edit: I think your placement of Ayato is accurate, but not for the same reasons you gave. He's in the popular kid ranking solely to spite and compete with Yae. Also, I think Itto may be the sole reason that school keeps losing at football cause, you know, he sucks at anything game related.

Lmao, everyone voted Kokomi as student council president except herself and she would do any bad thing in order to get an excuse to leave student council but in the end couldn't because that's just who she is. She would be like "the legend of the faceless student council president who controls the entire school from the shadow" but in reality she just didn't want to appear in the public as student council president. She would just do the planning and leave the work of the student council to the vice president.
I have some baseless headcanons:
Itto is the kid that doesn’t do his homework until he’s on the school bus, ayato does it on time, really well, and they are best friends, yoimiya and Ayaka are best friends, and they just sorta all group together as a friend group.
Albedo is the kid who has everyone’s number, but only so they could get the homework answers, but sucrose is the only genuine friend. Like, everyone likes him but no one talks to him.
Venti is the kid that comes to school in cosplay or maid outfits, and just follows zhongli around, pissing him off
Also, kokomi plays the harp, not the viola, don’t tell me I’m wrong
I have a suggestion! I think it would be interesting to see a “ranking Genshin characters as siblings” their list where it could go one of two ways. 1) ranking them as oldest sibling, middle, youngest, or only child, or 2) ranking them as how they’d act if they had siblings.
I've actually played Horizon, and Aloy suffers from being an...okay-ly written character. She isn't particularly poorly written, she just isn't exceptional. What I can tell you, though, is that while she's smart, I feel like she'd be more comfortable in some sort of extracurricular outdoors club than being in a classroom. Maybe track team star if archery isn't a thing.

Based on Ayato's voice lines, he screams bourgeoisie and class. So he's definitely going to be popular in the regard that he's part of the school's fencing team and lists horse back riding as his hobby.

only thing i imagined was all the archons (as well as yae, ayato, ningguang, and lisa) being teachers
like venti being an english teacher who does all his lessons in perfect rhyme, zhongli being that one teacher everyone loves, raiden and yae being the gym teachers, lisa being the drama teacher, ningguang being a math teacher, yae also being an english teacher aside from gym, shenhe being that one really awkward, young teacher, etc

Honestly, I'm a 100% sure Chongyun would be THAT kid who is obsessed with supernatural and creepypastas. He has tried every ghost summoning ritual in existence and goes Scooby doo around town with his friends (Xiangling and Guoba are the Scooby and Shaggy of this group, I don't make the rules). But he's quiet about it and kinda shy so only his closest friends know (Xingqiu takes advantage of his passion and just makes him go to the most random places to find "ghosts")
Xiao is like three bad days away of being a burnout, he definetely wants to skip every class because he's just tired of life but he doesn't because he promised his dad not to
Ayato is naruto running, he's popular but in the inside he's a crackhead
honestly i think kaeya would be pretty popular. diluc too. kaeya is popular around mondstadt for his humour, smooth talking and looks, so I assume the same if he were in school. diluc is very popular- he's rich, yet genuine and intelligent. he'd be the popular guy who doesn't want to be popular.

Here's my take on your student council and why Zhongli should also be part of it: there's two seperate "parties".
-One of them is Ningguang's, backed up by Keqing, Eula and Sara, they're all about following the rules and "no running in the halls".
-Jean's party, backed by Amber and Gorou, is a bit more liberal and free, but still ready to take decisive action if needed (and sometimes Keqing sneaks off to eat shrimp balls or dango with em). They're not antagonists per se, but their views differ.
-And then there's Zhongli, who basically "allows everyone to do their own thing". But he's so charming so he gets away with anything he says. Daddy long-legs is also the star of the softball/tennis and badminton team after all.

I don't think this is a popularity contest, I think it's more of a category of what they are on highschool xD (because some of the quiet academics might be popular even if their tier second to the bottom, so are majority of the theatre/band kids)anyway the student council is very accurate

Home Ec kids was a sorely needed category I think. Diona, Thoma, Xiangling, Klee (diy fan 👀), Noelle, and I think Aloy too.
i honestly really enjoy the idea of kokomi being a high achiever in orchestra :DD but to me in my opinion, i think she'd be in the 'quiet academic' category because as told in the game and her position in the resistance, she is highly intelligent.
and based on her voicelines about studying military and watatsumi island, she basically said she has her energy drained from time to time and would go somewhere and just read a military book to relax and regain her energy (something like that)
so bcuz of that, i vision her as somewhat of a A and B student, and that introverted and quiet yet intelligent student in the class

Fun fact. On my last sports day of high school I Naruto ran in the 100m race in front of the whole school. it was the last race for the day too. And a teacher that had been working there for 7 years, had seen and been explained to, many times, what a Naruto run is, called it a superhero run, because I had a cape on. I was like in my head. "If you ain't getting it by now, then you just ain't getting it."
Venti would totally be part of the stage crew for EVERY. SINGLE. MUSICAL/PLAY. I would know because I was on the stage crew for a musical and he fits right in with that "I want to be part of this but I don't have the commitment to rehearse and actually show up on time so I'm just gonna make props and maybe help out on the play if I feel like it" vibe... just that. Noting else. If it wasn't for that, he'd actually be part of the play.

More of an administrative worker than a hall monitor type of council member. She's soft-spoken so either people listen to her or they don't so she always has another member hovering around her incase people try something. Maybe.
