xingqiu is like that roomate who seems quiet but once he brings home like a friend hes LOUD AF.
Bring in Chongyun and you would be in that situation where you feel like that roommate that is left out.

Once he warms up to you he's a really great person to hang around. If you told him you're returning late he'd make sure you got back safely before going to bed himself. If you forgot something, he would tell you to head home first while he gets it for you. Plus he'd invite you to play chess together and other stuff. From his voice lines, he'll also tell you that he appreciates you. It's sad how people don't realize that he's actually really kind.

Having Tartaglia and Itto as roommates at the same time would be a nightmare, I've gotta say.
They are both _extremely_ competitive people. If they sat down to play Smash Bros together, they would keep at it all day until they pass out because neither of them wants to be the one who lost more matches. If Tartaglia lost more, he would practice until he felt he improved enough and challenge Itto again. If Itto lost more, he would just constantly challenge Tartaglia until he won. It would never end.

As a Xiangling fan and a fellow cook she would be so fucking messy. She would bring like weird ingredients she found at like a weird food market and she has like 50 cook books but almost never uses them and they’re just lying around. Sometimes she makes really good 5 star food but something burns down and there will be a smell afterwards. I love her but her character story literally says that she used to get so excited while cooking that she would burn the wok and her dad needed to get a new one like every other week. She knows better now but there will be accidents and a small risk of something unsavoury or just incredibly spicy getting in your food.
Tldr Xiangling is an experimental chef who likes weird food. Her bear is the least of your problems

I don't think that will be the case. In her 4th character story, Yun Jin comments that Xinyan's room looks like it belongs to a refined lady of a reputable upbringing without a hint of rock and roll to be seen as it's immaculate and tastefully decorated with a just-cooked meal waiting at the stove. She'll probably be loud while practising music though.

Having a roommate like Zhongli is literally living with your cheap, talkative and done with life grandparents.
He is also a walking encyclopedia so you would get a 100 on like every assignment.

Kaeya: *for that dash of humour and theatrical endeavours.He’s fun to hang around with,but ya gotta play the part of a therapist when he starts having existential breakdowns from time to time*
Albedo: *Quiet roomie unless you have something in common with him,then he be active af.Probs won’t be home most of the time,but at least he pays his dues when needed*

i really don't think you'd have to help kaeya through breakdowns. he's the secretive, I'll-just-suffer-in-silence type. you'd have to learn to read him for a while before being able to tell something's wrong.

After having Venti in my teapot for a while, I came to this conclusion. Venti would be drunk a lot, leave wine bottles everywhere, etc, but he would also be a great listener and give amazing advice and comfort. He's the type of person to pop open a wine bottle and lounge with you on the couch, listen to everything that bothers you until the both of you are so drunk that you're dancing around the apartment singing your hearts out.
and he’d hide ontop of the fridge,freezer,counter,cupboard,under the bed,inside the vents, during hide and seek

my favourite roomate would be kazuha because he’s almost perfect basically (and i might be biased but cmon, he’s basically a malewife). he cooks, he doesn’t care what to eat so he’d just go with you, he’ll add his own quirks and details into the food, i think he’d be a very clean person especially with his former noble upbringing in genshin, sophisticated,they way he speaks that basically flowers come out, i think he’d also be a very supportive person in general. broke up? he’s there for you, failed exams? he’ll be there for you AND study together. if you can’t pay rent he’ll do it for you with absolutely no qualms about it.
if he notices you feeling down i think he’d cook your favourite food and ask you what’s wrong, he’ be very easy to hold a convo with. i think he’d also be that cryptic friend that sometimes randomly comes back home at 2am just because he wants to walk outside because it’s cold. yes he sometimes gets drunk but he knows when to stop and would drink responsibly. also thinks if you’re down in the dumps he’s gonna ask you to go travelling with him. overall, he’s definitely a top tier roomate, 11/10. deffo the therapist friend. thoma would be similar as well

"I think I would actively hide in my room from Fischl" is so funny to me. To me, Fischl would be like the friend that you don't hang out with often because she seems crazy, but you still talk to her every once in a while and it's entertaining to just listen to the weird stuff she says.
Personally I would put Zhongli into, "Good roomate, we hang out sometimes". I personally would've put him into SSS if he wasn't broke. Not that I care about him having money, but just because he'd be great to hang out with, but it sucks to have to pay every bill. Other than that though, he strikes me as that kind of guy that when you arrive home, he'll just be staring out the window or out on the boucany enjoying the view or whatever, minding his own business. Also, since he knows basically everything, he'd be a great study partner. I can find myself hanging out with him at starbucks, but we wouldn't really talk, even though we would sit right next to each other. Like I'd be on my laptop working on an essay and he'd be right across from me enjoying his coffee. Once he's done with his coffee though, instead of talking to me, would look out a window or sit there with a 50/50 chance he gets up to get more coffee or he talks about the coffee's specific attributes. That's enough of my ranting. Me, as a person, just sees Zhongli as a chill, easy-to-get-along-with dude that wouldn't really bother you unless you asked for something or he wants to show you something cool (even if it may be rocks).
I feel like Kazuha would be that one roommate that lets you cuddle with him if you have a nightmare or a panic attack or smth like that

Itto and Childe: Best buddies to play Super Smash Bros. together. Also, Childe should bring his siblings so that we can watch Bluey and Pokemon together.
Xiangling: Can teach me how to cook. Plus, binge-watching on Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares together (she's going to FREAK OUT on Amy's Baking Company).
Albedo and Sucrose: Good tutors for science, we can do experiments together. "Hey, wanna watch Bill Nye together?"
Barbara: We can sing together to spend some time. Both me and Barbara will sing "Cake by the Ocean" (and maybe even bring in Venti and Xinyan).

i feel like yoimiya would be a perfect roomate. she has culture, shes very sweet, and shes concerned about other people. there would be times where she could be a little messy but i feel like it would be easy to communicate with her and she would respect that and start cleaning up her messes. i feel like she would want want to know about all of your issues and dress you up and do your makeup for date nights. idk id vibe with her
I’d actually wouldn’t mind living with Gorou, so far he’s just a person that takes deeply into account other people’s feelings and his own relationships, I’m kinda like that too so I feel kinda relatable to him, other than that he’d be the type of person to ask you go somewhere or just do something together (and he also likes sweets lol, we are going to kill everyone from diabetes) Idk, I just really like his character (also he’d try to be the leader and try to take responsibility of things but you will end up helping him lol)
I would choose Zhongli as my roommate because I would never have the fear of dying

I feel like my favorite as a roommate would be Diona, just because even though she's usually a bit rude, I feel like she'd open up and start bouncing her ideas off me once she learned that I hate alcohol with a passion too. Obviously she wouldn't force or beg you to go with her everywhere, because she's pretty independent. I really don't think I could get along with the more extroverted people like Yoimiya and Amber, but it'd be nice to be able to talk every once in a while, even if it's dominated by plans to destroy alcoholism entirely. She'd be a cool friend, I think.

not gonna lie. i knew next to nothing about beidou when i first decided to main her. (she was my first pulled character) from her appearance i thought she was going to be high and mighty. I had Absolutely No idea how Kind she really is! she is always looking for others to help and building up the broken, yea sure she drinks alot (like holy crap her blood is probably beer) but her ship and crew are all tidy and clean. personally i dont know if i could stand smelling like beer all the time cuz i hate alcohol but if i could push past that id totally be her roomie

Zhongli would be the roommate I always wanted. Filled with knowledge and good advice. I would definitely talk to him a lot for civilised debates and expanding my own knowledge. Only downside is that you’ll pay his rent and your own.

I think my ideal roommate out of them would probably be Gorou. I was going between him and Kazuha but I’m kind of socially awkward and don’t know if I’d be able to approach Kazuha, who seems the type to like his peace. But Gorou just seems really understanding and kind, leaves you alone and doesn’t invite you out too often. He seems like he’d help a lot with chores and be caring and the type you can have fun late night conversations with every once and a while. Plus he’d help you study I think.

I feel like Lisa would actually be clean since she works in a library, has a responsible attitude most of the time, and is very academic. However, yes, I do think she would be bringing men home. She is a total academic queenboss.
for me, kazuha can go three ways. the type to never talk to you, the type to basically do all the chores etc. so the place would be clean whenever you would get back from somewhere, or the type to vent to you about his problems/listen to you vent but he cries while you talk to him

Zhongli would definitely cook with you, but he'd be critiquing your technique the whole time. And if he was ever to cook something on his own, he'd make something that took at least 4 hours to cook, and he'd insist on only using the highest quality ingredients that the local farmer's market has to offer.
