If you're looking for a fun drinking game take a sip everytime we say "the land" 😂...all jokes aside, a bunch of you have suggested that we name the land so if you have any ideas or suggestions make sure to let us know. Hope that you enjoyed this video, if you did share it with a friend! Hope you're safe, healthy and happy....until Sunday xo 💛
Hey guys. Love your updates. Grew up in central Maine, but now live in Akron, Ohio. Your videos from Nova Scotia are so reminiscent of Maine. Name the land? Mmm how about "A Lot Amour" ?
There’s something about today’s video that had me smiling from beginning to end... and then I thought about the fact that you really weren’t ‘doing’ anything special which made me realize that it really is about the connection you have with each other and how this then connect to your audience. And that’s a really beautiful thing. It means your channel isn’t about living tiny anymore (which is how I got hooked) but much more about personal connections and living a good life! I stay up late on Sunday’s in Europe to watch your episodes and it’s ALWAYS been worth it! Truly adore you guys!
At 74 years of age it is so fun to see you figuring out seeds per plant. They will grow and overpower you. I didn't think eggplant would grow in Nova Scotia. Too far north? And ticks. The price of living in the north. There are things to keep your puppies healthy and tick free. You know how much I love your dogs. And Tyler, your side looks are fantastic.
I love watching you four. Your energy and love for each other makes me feel so happy. I find myself laughing out loud along with you as you are laughing. You are a wonderful start to my week in these crazy times. Be safe.
Loved the quality of this week's vid! The artsy montage getting the dogs in the truck, the drone and slow-mo shots at the lake 😍 10/10 (Sorry to hear you crashed it)
This is the best ever! I’m smiling and laughing out loud at this one. Your planting procedures are waaaaaay different than mine with my B.S. degree in agronomy and I love it!
Love how affectionate you are with each other and the pups. They are so sweet and affectionate with you too. I am so happy they have a place to swim since they LOVE water. I think they are as happy as can be and love the slow-mo video you do on them. Your videos make me smile during this stressful time. Thank you. I love the camera work and music you choose. You guys are so multi-talented. I just started gardening too and it is such a FUN hobby and so cool to eat what you grow. I am already enjoying my baby arugula here in Northern Cali. I agree, ticks are terrible!! Be careful. Lyme, ick.
“ so you’re telling me that one of the seeds grows an entire tomato plant? I don’t think that’s right” 🤣😂 I love this so much because this was totally me when I first Started gardening. Growing up so disconnected from growing food every time a plant grows from a tiny seed it still gives me excitement 😁
A garden tip I saw on the internet to keep critters from eating all the seedlings is to get plastic forks and stick them in the ground upside down so that the tines deter the critters. I'm gonna do that when my plants get in the ground. No veggies for me just flowers. My family does lots of veggies and there are so many farmers nearby in NE Ohio.
Hi Guy's my husband and I have been together for 14 yrs Married and 24 total years together we enjoy your show so much and wish more would do something like what you guys do. It's just so fun to watch you guys weekly and wish you would be on slightly longer. So keep it going we love watching.
Todd was hot today with the jokes, I'm still laughing. You can also drop a few cloves of garlic in the ground and harvest a full bulb from each clove, it's good fresh. Thanx Guys
If I tell my friends I watched two guys planting seeds into potting trays....and I was thoroughly entertained... they would think I had finally lost my mind BUT it was the cutest and funniest thing I’ve seen... today. Love your videos guys 👍😘
You can pour the water into the bottom tray so that pouring water on top doesn’t did disturb the seeds as they’re trying to root and grab onto the dirt. Then just mist the top with a water spritzer. Watering from the top can actually push the seed around. Then when you water from the bottom the plants roots are encouraged to grow downward towards the water source and you get a plant with better roots. Just a suggestion. You guys crack me up, I’m really enjoying your channel.
You guys are so so so adorable!!!! How in the heck does every video look like you have a full film crew? Yours are the best videos, not just the content, which is charming and humorous and loving, but the music and editing....everything!!! Love to you. Stay safe!!!!!! ....Oh, a drone, duh, should have guessed.
I enjoyed this video and your last video. The conversation you had in your last video about loneliness and wall building hit home for me; especially the isolation that has become necessary during the pandemic. I really appreciate your meal time deep conversations. This video was also very cool; watching how things are coming along. By the way, I'm sorry to hear about the drone. I just love your drone shots! They're so beautiful to watch. The landscape up there in Nova Scotia is so majestic! Finally, I like the fact that both of you (and the boys) are very natural (i.e., no acting). You don't try to portray yourselves in a different light just because you're in front of a camera. Keep up the good work! Good luck with the garden and I look forward to the next video!
We planted our asparagus 3 years ago and it’s coming up this year and looks so freaking awesome. Can’t wait. Good luck with all of those. I’m sure you will do great!!!! Good luck.
Greetings...another great video and I must say it is always better when you are happy and laughing. The “things” are generally always able to be repaired or corrected, and after being around for so very long, sometimes patience sucks but in the end it’s worth it! Best to you both always.
Love you guys. The plans for the driveway are looking great. Happy you were able to catch the "turnaround for the truck" Its so nice to see the "boys" romp around in nature" especially, swim. I take care of a couple, and I planted some tomatoes, zucinni, and cucumber for the first time. they are unable to do so now. It's a joy to watch them grow from seed. "the vegetable's that is".. hugs, Bill
I'm so excited with you. The driveway is going in. Are you going to construct a greenhouse. You guys must have a green thumb. Farmers! You going to have a huge vegetable garden. How you going to keep the wildlife and vermets out of your garden. They will eat everything. A vegetable stand is a great idea. Sale what you grow. You guys are so amazing. Best of luck with everything. Keep us updated on the projects. Sorry about the tick issue. 1 step back and 3 farward. Lol. Love you guys.
Oh dear. Watching you two planting seeds - I am dying! I am in the throes of trying to get a garden going and, similar to you two, don't have much of a clue. Thankfully I don't need to completely rely on the produce but hope to next year. Good luck to all fledgling gardeners!!
Stumbled across your channel. I am addicted! How big is your piece of land? It is just so beautiful! Your work ethic is fierce and inspiring, thank you for sharing your lives with us x
Great hang. The seed planting section was priceless. My husband really overdid his garden this year, but he has so enjoyed giving his produce away to grateful neighbors and family. Your banter and inclusiveness is unique. When Tyler said "we left you guys in the truck" during your shopping run, I had to adjust as a viewer, but really felt included. Your banter at the end and the tick drama were cute. I once camped in Ontario and thought it would be fun to pile up pine needles to make for a softer bed. I was picking off ticks all night and had a killing rock where I stabbed them with my knife. Shudder. Charlie and Eddie are the best! My travel companion Blanco (Jack Russell terrier) says "wroof."
Next you can dig a root cellar and can your own fruits and vegetables. I don't remember if you mentioned if you'll be connected to electricity, sewers, and water, you do you need a septic tank.
Love you! For the garden, get a spray bottle to mist the soil and keep it damp for sprouting. Spray bottle also works to water the seedlings without drowning them! Have that excavator dig a septic system while their at it (just a thought). Thanks for sharing!
Good call on the soil....as for a septic system, they're about 15,000 where we are. A composting toilet and using grey water diversion and treatement is a better option for us!
You guys are like babes lost in the woods when it comes to the planting of the seeds, it was so cute. When you were naming the vegetables that you were planting, I loved the way you snickered at the egg plant. sorry about the poor drone, but anyway, another really nice video for this rainy sunday afternoon.
Asparagus from seed - wow, that's a commitment. It will be three years to first harvest at a minimum. I guess this is a long term plan. We started a new asparagus bed from crowns so that cuts it to two years from planting to harvest. This year is a first year picking the asparagus and it's lovely. Good luck with your vegetable patch - it's so rewarding eating your own produce and you can choose to grow things you just can't get at the shops.
The Asparagus is actually from bulbs to cut it down from 3 years to 2 but you're right, it's a long term plan! We'll never sell this property so might as well cultivate the land as best we can to benefit us in the future!
Nice laid back sweet video T&T. I can't wait to see your tiny house take shape. I love them & would like to be the owner of one someday. Looking forward to your next video!
Rushed back home after my farmers market run! Sunday video with my two fav awesome human beings! Those drone shots Tyler are so beautiful! The boys are in there happy place in the water! Until next Sunday!
I love it when you two let us join you for your “adult beverage” time on the couch! You guys are to funny! It’s nice to see couple be so relaxed and silly with each other! #relationshipgoals
I had a good laugh along with you both during your discussion about small reproductive cells growing tomato plants and 6 foot humans! Haha! Next time you plant, I suggest planting a couple seeds per pot and then snipping off the smaller seedlings to thin out the plants. I also suggest writing the names of the plants using sharpie onto the dry pots so you don't have to make tiny flags. Hope your garden grows like crazy for you. Just saw your video about building the raised beds and they look great! Depending on how much wildlife you get, you may want to add some livestock fencing around the tops to protect against grazing deer.
You were so right to get the Men in to clear the land and the driveway. It reminds me of that rhyme "Lord Finchley tried to mend the Electric Light himself." " It Struck him Dead, and Serve him Right !" It is the Duty of the Wealthy Man to provide Employment for the Artisan " !
Good luck with the planting, some things I fear wont mature as there is not enough growing season and not enough heat where you are. Asparagus is a plant that needs years to grow in order to get the shoots. Im sure you have researched all of this
You guys are making progress in building your home. You are thinking smart too. The dogs really had a great time except for the ticks. Is that going to be a new issue for them living in that area? You are planting too. It is amazing how you went from traveling and the world changed, and you two adapted and changed. Keep on sharing guys.
Thanks guys for bringing light in these uncertain times. It's uplifting to see your excitement as your plans move forward.. FYI Spinach germanates fast. Can harvest in 35-40 days. You may enjoy peas. Over seed and eat as microgreens add to your avocado toast. Stay safe, stay well and wash your hands. (How's the wine making coming on) Enjoy your week
Who would ever have guessed that was your first time planting seeds !!!!!!! You two make me die, and I love it - you are so funny to watch - LOVE you and your videos - thanks for sharing your 'skills' with us :-)
The joy of seeing your dogs playing in the water, literally brought tears.. such great filmwork made it so emotional! So great to hear about the wonderful progress you are making on "the land", So looking forward to seeing how it all turns out! Knowing you two, it will be spectacular!
I just want to let you know guys that I deeply love you ! You videos are fun, simple yet true, we learn, we laugh, we even get emotional at times. I feel your love is so genuine and even when one of you is annoyed by the other (eg 9:00 !!), we still feel it. Unlike for example Tom Daley and Lance whom I find more artificial sadly. I just wish you the best for your new projects. This is so exciting ! Much love from Montréal !
you also need to have 2 backups to your solar.if you have a running creek bed or river hydropower going into it's own storage and converter and the same with the wind, this way you'll continue to supply power to your homestead and all need to do is switch over to power source when one's not working. and o the road wind and solar would be best . then add both cell and wifi boosters for both at home or o the road traveling. don't know if already have the boosters or not just saying...
Hi Tyler and Todd I just found this info online about tomato planting hope it helps, (Place two or three seeds into each small container or each cell of a seed starter. Cover the seed with about 1/4" of soil and gently firm it over the seeds. Water to ensure good seed-to-mix contact. You can use a plant mister or just dribble a stream of water over the top)
Ughh I can't get over you guys. Your videos are amazing. I watch them all wrapped up in my blankets and it's so cozy. I don't know what it is about your videos but the atmosphere is just perfect. I'm only in my second year of high school but now I know what I want to do once I have the money. When you guys open your truck and the dogs hop in I'm not sure what made me tear up but it's so sweet. You guys are my absolute inspiration.
You are so cute! One seed one plant ! Cauliflower once they grow you need to to put the leaves around the cauliflower and often enough you may end up with green little worms if you go all bio ! Garlic take it from your kitchen,
When you said you were getting "seedlings" I believe those are the tiny little plants that come in a flat. You planted seeds (that will become seedlings in a few weeks). :) Also, tip I saw online (for next year) save all your empty TP rolls and use them instead of buying those little planter cups. :)
Good luck with the seeds. Your winter is longer than here (in France) and most of my veg are already planted out. I find spinach, chard and lettuce bolt here (go to seed) and I cant grow cauliflower (the sun turns them yellow) or aubergines / eggplant because the soil is too shallow / dry. You may well find that you can't grow everything because of your soil / climate, but it's fun finding out what works and what doesn't. If you have deer in the area they may well eat everything before you get a chance to harvest it ! It'd be interesting to know what sort of wildlife you have there.
Very true, I don't anticipate that everything will turn out but it is definitely worth a try...going to have to get some chicken wire to protect everything from all the critters in the woods1
Inspired me to cut wood, hedge Locust and Ash. I need the exercise now that the gym is closed. Got plants for vegetable garden but got to protect them from the deer and those pesky bunny rabbits! Enjoyed your video all smiles here!
Cant be too careful with ticks as they cause Lyme disease, which is serious and debilitating. Stay safe. I'm enjoying watching your journey in your new phase. ! Waves from New Zealand.
Once again, late on viewing this week's video. Being an essential employee is starting to take a toll on me. Anyways, loved it! So much knowledge on this one and funny as usual. You guys are the best. Keep up with the good vibes. 🥰
I'm really looking forward to see how this garden grown from seeds works out. My personal experience was that each year, unknown fauna trolled through my garden and ate all of the leafy veggies, leaving enough for regrowth and so it went. Five tomato plants from transplants yielded vast quantities. My co-worker started avoiding me when I showed up with surplus produce. After three years,
Hey Randall! We've heard a lot about how you need to find ways to cover the produce so I think we're going to maybe do chicken wire or something to keep the deer and bunnies out of there!
Our potatoes, garlic and onions seeds broke the surface of the soil this week - it was exciting - and we finally decided where the basil was going! Lockdown life in Yorkshire, UK!
I recently started to watch your channel and now it has become a routine to watch your videos every week. I love to watch your videos. Be happy....Be safe....love from India❤
Hi you guys ! ... I love you videos, your togetherness and life. I am lookibng forward to the next video. .. You two remind me of the couple we formed, Mike and I ... Be happy my friends ... Love you !
Hi guys. Loved the vlog today, and especially your beginning your "starts" as we call them here in Kentucky. Can I recommend to you to buy organic Idaho potatoes and just let them grow the "eyes" and when they're ready cut the taters in pieces that have 2-3 eyes each and then plant them. Yams or Sweet Potatoes you can do similar. Since these are tubers they grow much better this way then from seed. Make mounds, plant the pieces (4-6) per mound and wait for the harvest. Cucs, squash, pumpkin, eggplant, etc., should be mounded too. Bon chance!!!!!
I just love the Jack Ryan stories!!! John Krysinski is a great Ryan. Anyway, thanks guys for a chance to see the updates on the new place, the seed pots going together and your mom's kitchen. Lol, you didn't drop the bowl so that's a positive. Sorry about the broken drone. Can you get Dave's Killer Breads in your area? Amazing whole grain breads that are perfect for avacado and toast or tomato and onion sandwiches. Take care you 2, see you next week.
Love watching your videos Tyler and Todd! It is great to see such a happy couple and their two sweet fur kids enjoying all of the simple things in life! Looking forward to seeing the outcome of your veggie garden as well as your home site continue to develop!
Hi guys, The pill I give to my dogs once a month say that it also works for ticks. Its called Comfortis. We don't think we have ticks at the beach in California but you might want to try it. btw, thanks for the videos. Todd, your laugh is contagious and Tyler, your smile is beautiful. Cheers from Cali, Christine
You made a big old woman cry at the sheer joy on your faces at getting the land started! Then you killed the drone 😭 The plants will grow well with that singing Todd! We loved Jack Ryan too.
Hi guys!! Another great Sunday!!! So happy about the progress on the land. Looks awsome!!! Woulove ti see the beautiful scenery.. love to you both.. you again make my weekend!!!
Char'ddies or Cheddies Farm. I know they sound silly. Was trying to think of a name from your beautiful boys, who will also be a part of your beautiful new home. I love to watch the four of you every week, and it is so wonderful to see your beautiful country. I am from the south-west of Western Australia. I also watch 'Cole the Cornstar'. He is an Iowa farmer, who works so hard and is such a great young guy. I just can't we to see what's new on both your channels. My love to all of you.
Loved the video as usual!!! You guys are so great!!! Loved the gardening!!! I did that for the first time last year! I planted sunflower seeds, lettuce, carrots and cucumber. Everything grew great!!! Our sunflowers made it to 7 feet tall!! Hope the drone is a quick fix, and I'm glad the land is going along so well!!!! Stay safe and healthy!!!
Hi y'all! Canada has to have some agricultural agency as we do in Texas that has proper info for home gardening in your Province. Check it out on line or find a blog from a local gardener. There's nothing like learning from locals when it comes to gardening. Love from Houston. PS keep a gardening journal it will help you next year.
Lovin' every minute of watching you guys and your adventures, thank you for sharing as always! Keeps me watching MLS and Dignam land for a nice spot in NS to get away from the craziness in ONT. Hope the drone comes back soon, I always love watching that footage!
I have a lot of experiences with gardening but I really don‘t know how the climate is in Canada. In Europe we plant our tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins and cucumbers outside in the middle of may. So for our climate it would be way too late to put seeds into soil now. If you need help let me know😉. I wish you good luck with your plants!!
Hey guys! When you guys started talking about ticks I got so scared! I was diagnosed with Lyme disease 3 years now and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Memory loss, seizures, paralysis, etc... the symptoms are brutal. Please be SO careful. This disease is no joke. Luckily if the tick is feeding on the boys (as awful as it is) they won't bite you after. Stay safe and as always thanks for sharing your journey with us! Love from Ottawa!
I am sooo super happy for "all" of you and your projects are moving forward. I too have to be honest, the pups are big loves and Eddie is a camera hog dog. Love you all to the moon and beyond🤗😘
So fun. Best senses of humor ever. I was wiggling with joy when my first seedlings sprouted. My first time planting from seeds too. It's the best. Can't wait to watch you enjoy yours grow. Thanks for another great video.
How will you protect all of these seedlings from slugs and snails and insects and wildlife?

I so much agree with you ! This connection they have is so beautiful and inspiring !
I agree. It’s the interaction between Todd & Tyler that first drew me in... & that they are so real.
Yeah i fully did have the same feeling this time. 😅🙂

Hey Gary! We had no idea what we were doing but it really does feel so great to be learning new skills during this time, thanks for the kind words!
@@tylerandtodd You brighten my day. Can't wait to see the garden.
You two are the best medicine on a Sunday at 11pm in Belgium! I will laugh in my sleep 😁. Thank you so much for sharing your story. ❤❤
I love watching you four. Your energy and love for each other makes me feel so happy. I find myself laughing out loud along with you as you are laughing. You are a wonderful start to my week in these crazy times. Be safe.
They are fun to watch during these stressful times, aren't they?
Love the garden!!!
I love you boys but let’s be honest? I just LOVE Eddie and Charlie!!!!
Hahaha aren't they just the sweetest?? 💛
Loved the quality of this week's vid! The artsy montage getting the dogs in the truck, the drone and slow-mo shots at the lake 😍 10/10

Two of my favorite parts: the slow-motion video of the dogs jumping in the pond and Tyler's PJ bottoms -- they're very cute.

As an avid gardener, I was laughing so hard at your seed starting segment that I was crying and wheezing. Thank you, I seriously needed that laugh 🤣❤️
Thank you for sharing the video of the. Boys!!!!! Man they are adorable! As are u two! You guys make me laugh
Watching back these old videos...wow, how you two have grown in two years! Wonderful journey for sure.
We planted our asparagus 3 years ago and it’s coming up this year and looks so freaking awesome. Can’t wait. Good luck with all of those. I’m sure you will do great!!!! Good luck.

Thanks so much, welcome to our channel!
Also, it’s a 10 acre piece of land!
Tyler and Todd so much opportunity! I have so many of your videos to catch up on, it’s like the gift that keeps on giving 🙌🏼thank you!
We love your channel boys!! it's so fresh !!! thank you for sharing your life with us!!! ❤️❤️❤️ we would love to travel the world to 😍😍😍
Very cool nice to see you living a happy and open life on your own terms. Be happy at all times .

Im sure you have researched all of this
I think a nice cross stitch piece reading "Some things are best left to the experts" needs to go up somewhere in your tiny house! LOL
(How's the wine making coming on)
Enjoy your week
Who would ever have guessed that was your first time planting seeds !!!!!!! You two make me die, and I love it - you are so funny to watch - LOVE you and your videos - thanks for sharing your 'skills' with us :-)
The joy of seeing your dogs playing in the water, literally brought tears.. such great filmwork made it so emotional! So great to hear about the wonderful progress you are making on "the land", So looking forward to seeing how it all turns out! Knowing you two, it will be spectacular!
Looking at old videos, you've come so far and have a lush garden now! ❤
Love how Tyler is...you can't be mad at him and how can you not laugh lol...love that!!!
Sorry about your drone , I just love 💕 you boy’s so much I could watch you all day long, stay safe
Love the colour of that shirt Tyler, goes with your beard so well, you both are such fun, thanks for entertaining us!
Can't tell you how happy this makes us. Sending lots of love!
Im so excited about the driveway. I hope you film as your walking/driving up it the first time.. Also love that your planting
Somehow I missed this one. It's amazing how much you've done in 2 years.
Watching these videos is the best part of my week!
Always love your videos and look forward to each Sunday. Cool I used to grow lots of vegetables too
I just started watching them and omg these guys are hilarious 😂 they may be my new fav. It’s so fascinating seeing the different personalities!
Oohh Todd....Oohh Tyler... You guys crack me up! Yet another entertaining and enjoyable video!
That is so exciting, hoping our start soon!!
I love seeing the boys getting to do what they do best, be dogs. Happy video.
I'm always smiling and in a happy mood after watching your videos for some reason. 😄💕
You guys are so nice and loving with each other. Nice to see your crib is coming along. Great location Neil x
Love you !
Just love you guys...I look forward to your videos all week!!!
I love Balsamic Glaze especially on Tomato!!! You are hilarious. Love your Video. I can't wait till next week!.
Take care you 2, see you next week.
hoping to see you tiny home on grid soon... cute dogs... and your one of the wonderful couple... tyler n todd 🐋💚
We'll check it out, thanks for the suggestions...thanks for the kind compliments, Christine. We really appreciate it!
You made a big old woman cry at the sheer joy on your faces at getting the land started! Then you killed the drone 😭 The plants will grow well with that singing Todd! We loved Jack Ryan too.
I like the emphasis on "eggplant" vs. all the other veg that were listed!
Cool to come back and look at this with as far as you guys have come in July of 2022.
That's amazing!!! We're hoping for tall sunflowers too!
Hi y'all! Canada has to have some agricultural agency as we do in Texas that has proper info for home gardening in your Province. Check it out on line or find a blog from a local gardener. There's nothing like learning from locals when it comes to gardening. Love from Houston. PS keep a gardening journal it will help you next year.
PPS you can build a cold frame for your new plants so you can give them more light outside and close it up at night.
Yall are so amazing your videos give me something to look forward to for sundays i smile the whole time i watch yalls videos
02:46 damn, Todd, your hair looks amazing!
The faces Tyler be making to Todd are priceless!!! 😂🤣
So entertaining! Always great videos.
So fun. Best senses of humor ever. I was wiggling with joy when my first seedlings sprouted. My first time planting from seeds too. It's the best. Can't wait to watch you enjoy yours grow. Thanks for another great video.
I love you two and Eddie and Charlie you stay safe boys I love you your the only thing getting me through quarantine
