      Joyce, that would be such a blessing. I am really happy you stuck around to the end to hear it. He is my cornerstone and I feel like praying over you is the BEST way I can truly help.

    I have been using clean mama since 2020. I love it. It is close to what I've done for years as a full time teacher and mother of 4 children. I had always worked an hour before and after dinner in the evening. Clean mama is faster. Now I do half an hour in the morning doing the daily clean and one daily chore. The evening is spent finishing up the load of laundry, daily declutter and room deep clean. Part of the time saved is me going around looking for things to clean.❤

    Thank you for the prayer at the end!! And for breaking this method down on video! After reading I wanted to have something practical like this to watch - appreciate your tips! loved this method after getting the book and listening to the other book for mamas simple and quick (minimalist-ish approach) to cleaning.

      You are so welcome! I think the bathroom gets a lot easier as you keep going too. Let me know how I can help. I started praying on air about a year ago and it just feels right. I truly want His blessing over you and I need prayer all of the time so it’s nice to have a surprise ending!

    I believe the BEST cleaning routine is the one I customize for myself. Now that I’m happy with my commitment to FlyLady, I want to research Clean Mama and see what I can pull from her method.
    When I tried it before, I rushed in without really understanding where to start. I missed a lot of good information from her book. I feel much more prepared now. I wanted to focus on cleaning anyway and sometimes a change can get you excited again. Just like working out, sometimes it’s good to switch things up for a bit. I am still a FlyBaby! My focus for January is to walk through the FlyLady Baby Steps for anyone new or needing a reboot.
    Can you believe Christmas is in a week? Wow that went fast. I’m so looking forward to having my family here. It’s not about presents or food although they are fun. It’s really about the love of our Father and how I understand so much more as a parent. I continue to pray that you are filled with joy and peace this Christmas. ❤👼

    I'm so glad that there are many systems to do things and we get to find our own. I am watching this as I finish my hand-knit socks. Not white, not the same as all the others. It's a unique sock and that's how I like mine. I don't do the one load a day option. My body can't do the stairs every day but I do have a system that works for me. My kids each get a day and I wash my clothes on one day. I think it's so important that we find what works for us.

      You said that beautifully. I struggled to do things like my mother-in-law or my mom's way but I just couldn't seem to keep up. Finding inspiration from youtube truly transformed the way I view myself and my home because now I am confident enough to pick what works for me and let the rest go.

    ❤ This is the first video of yours that I have seen.❤ I am a FlyBaby and love it! I just now heard of Clean Mama at the OrganizedHQ event last week. I was intrigued! Thank you for praying at the end. It made my heart sing!!! I can’t wait to jump into more of your videos. FlySis

      Yay! Happy you found me and Clean Mama. I am somewhat of a flylady rebel. Sometimes I just need to change things up to keep it interesting but my foundation is always flylady. I really try to include a prayer at the end of my videos these days. My youtube journey was started because He kept pushing me to do it! My mission is to not let anyone feel as lost and overwhelmed as I did. So happy you are here!

    I have tried Clean Mama for a while but came back to FlyLady. I did the daily and weekly tasks but never came to the deep-cleaning-things. And it took me more time per day than the 15 minutes of the Flyladysystem. I am looking forward to your next tipps!!!!

    I have tried doing all 3 bathrooms this way, but even having one floor in my house, I felt like I was running around like crazy doing the sinks and toilets all at once. I have switched my cleaning around so much this past year, I now have like...2 or 3 different cleaning routines to fall back on...all using tips from TOMM, Clean Mamma and Fly Lady lol....plus my own habits. I think my ADHD and over-thinking tendencies get in the way, and I'll do well with one routine for a few weeks then burn out from it lol. And, I can never seem to stick to 30 minutes, even though I don't get every ittle thing done. So, I'm finding recently. That it seems to work best for me mentally and physically. If I break up the inside of my house into 3 zones, each determined by 1 bathroom and the rooms or areas closely surrounding that bathroom. And the outside is Zone 4. It's a big yard, that takes 2 hours minimum to mow on a riding mover. So. Days 1-3. I do weekly and deep cleaning in the corresponding zone for the day, excluding vacuuning, for weeks 1-3 out of the month. Then. Days 4 and 5, I can focus on Zone 4 (optional, if I weather permits, and I want or need to get anything done out there. And I'll determine how long I want to spend out there when I get to that day.
    On week 4, I'll do a house reset, where my focus will be less on weekly cleaning and more on sweeping, mopping, 30 minutes of deep cleaning, vacuuming and some catching up in Zone 4; still focusing on assigned zones for each day.
    I also have a laundry schedule now that will have me doing 2 loads per day for 4 days, including pet bedding, our bedding, living room blanktets, bathroom linenes, kitchen linens, and our laundry. The exception is any emergency laundry from spills, pet messes, etc, that require doing an unplanned load Emergency loads can vary. And are not every day. .
    So basically, if this schedule works out for me, I will have only 3 days of weekly and/or deep cleaning, 4 days of 2 loads of laundry each (excluding emergency loads), and 2 days of outside work. That leaves me with 2 days of daliies only, and 3 days of no scheduled laundry. I'm feeling relief right now, because yesterday was day 4 of my first week, and I'm just finishing up my last scheduled weekly load that I started last night. AND, I am not doing any Zone 4 work this week, so I'm basically done with weekly ckeaning this week and can focus on other more important and more enjoyable parts of my life for the next 3 days ❤.
    Also, I just want to mention, as I was commenting and lidtening to this video, your prayer for us at the end really blessed me deeply. They always do, but it really hit me more than usual. I think I needed it more today. It sparked so much inner joy with me. I pray that you get back 1000 fold today of what you prayed for all of us viewers. You are awesome! ❤

      I LOVE that you shared what works for you! We need to see many versions of how people do it because it gives permission to make changes. I’ve seen so much positivity from our little community about how freeing it is one we adapt things to fit our schedules.
      This was about the time God really led me to include a prayer in my videos. It goes against all the RUclips advice but I’m doing it anyway. Seeing God use a cleaning video to bless you miles away and 9 months later is a blessing to me! Thank you!

    The thing with laundry no matter who's system you are doing a load a day is not practical if you have to go to the laundry mat. Paying $1.25 to wash and.75 to dry everyday is nonsense. But everything else is good.

    • @TodaywithTerriK
      @TodaywithTerriK  Год назад +2

      I completely understand. I lived through n apartment with the laundry in another section. I was able to go twice a week and do clothing midweek and towels/sheets on weekends. It isn’t easy I know.

    Why are you cleaning your adult kids bathrooms? Isn't that a life skill they should master and something easy to take off your plate?

    • @TodaywithTerriK
      @TodaywithTerriK  Год назад +2

      Good question. My son is going to college full time and has his own business where he works 50+ hrs a week and helps me in anything I need. My daughter is about to turn 17 and is dual enrolled in high school and college and working as many hours as possible. I only clean about once a month or so in their bathroom. I do agree it’s important to teach them life skills but this is a new marriage and they are learning my expectations. They do their own laundry, maintain our 20+ acre property, tend the horse, cook quite a bit for themselves, and maintain their own spaces. They contribute a lot and sometimes the bathroom gets out of control. It’s a process.

      @TodaywithTerriK fair enough. So it is more of an act of service to show love, than a chore that is on your list of responsibilities.
      That is very nice of you to do for them.

    • @TodaywithTerriK
      @TodaywithTerriK  Год назад +1

      Exactly. I think it’s important to balance my expectations with grace when they are busy and working hard too.
