I've never had $100 vodka, but I've noticed the biggest difference is only how much it tastes like alcohol. More expensive vodka tastes smoother and more like water
Drinking vodka room temperature?!? What? If you drink vodka, especially expensive one like Beluga, you HAVE to put it to the freezer for at least 2-3 hours to make it’s texture like a melted wax. It absolutely improves your drinking experience. It offends me as a Russian. My bear is very offended too
While it's true that drinking vodka at below freezing is much better (surprisingly a lot of people don't know this), and is the right way to do it - when vodkas are room temp, the flaws are much more apparent. When -18C, there's going to be somewhat minute differences between these vodkas, but when at room temp, there's a world of difference.
When I learned the difference between burn and heat, it opened up a whole new world. Don’t hold yourself back from trying new and more pricier bottles. Don’t have to pay $100 but maybe another $20-$40 on top of what you already pay and you might find something really nice and a new favorite.
Because it has the same taste. Only difference is potato vs rye vodka. Rye vodka has sweeter taste, and tastes best if it's rectified, but not filtrated. Filtration is worst thing you can do to alcohol.
@de_iure maybe taste just by itself, but other things like burn and texture, intensity and smoothness can vary. But I think mostly it's the fact that cheap vodkas can get worse and worse if they're cheap enough but good vodka caps out of a certain point. It's not that hard to make really good vodka. I bet Smirnoff versus this expensive vodka would have been a lot closer..
Useless "test". Some vodkas do have a distinctive taste and smell but that doesn't mean anything in terms of quality. Since your dad already knows how to identify this particular brand, it's useless to try to test it against something totally different. You can find a cheap vodka that will be too close for him to call out if you actually cared about honest testing.
I notice a big difference between bottom and middle shelf vodkas but diminishing returns kick in pretty quickly. My favorite is Luksusowa which is only like $15 for a 750. Neutral flavor great for mixing.
Could you review a line up of Evan Williams whiskey's? Especially the honey whiskey. But I'd like to see your dad's take on his own honey whiskey as well!
This is so weird, I mean it might be a good cheap vodka but I can clearly tell the difference in cheap and more pricey vodka in the taste alone. Now ofc there are bad expensive vodkas too but I have never had a cheap vodka that I can enjoy without mixers.
I think vodka can get bad if it's cheap enough. You should have tried the expensive vodka versus a Regular Vodka like Smirnoff or something. Basically what I'm saying is the differences you notice here might have been the cheap vodka tasting Basically what I'm saying is the difference is you notice here might have been the cheap vodka tasting Cheap instead of the expensive vodka tasting expensive.. I bet Smirnoff would be a lot closer.
I got an old bottle of vodka today as a gift and im trying to find more info on it. Its called Troika and its from Yugoslavia. I cant find a date on the bottle except for a red sticker that says gold medal in Llubljana 1976. The bottle has a white fuzzy "hat" on the cap (though its turned brown now) Google doesnt give me much except for one website thats selling the same bottle for 200 British pounds. Can anyone help me identify this? Im trying to decide wether I should keep this safe and hopefully increase its value or taste it.
Okay, it's a great vodka for sipping neat, but why would anyone sip vodka neat? I can think of 100 other beverages I'd rather drink that are all less than $100 a bottle.
I would recommend the Beluga. It's so smooth that you don't need to mix or drink anything after taking the shot. Very smooth and you'll feel your throat warming up but not in a bad, burning way.
They are basically the same. The biggest difference betweend them is thath Belvedere is polish, Beluga is russian and goose iż a french vodka. For me personally Belvedere is the Best.
Which liquor are we comparing next?!
Tequila
Rum
Extra Añejo Tequila. Don Julio and Patron?
Southern comfort
Patron
do a taste test with all the big brand low to high priced and see which are actually worth the money
great idea
Yes!!!

I’ve never liked cold vodka it’s gotta be drank at room temperature imo

Употреблять водку как алкогольный напиток рекомендуют охлаждённой. Дегустировать рекомендуют при комнатной температуре.

In America we like to drink our vodka at room temp, but that’s not to say freezing it doesn’t enhance the drinking experience.

So for like grey goose or belvedere?
Everyone says vodka is the same no matter the price. And whisky’s and bourbons is where the price REALLY makes a difference
that's why we were hyped to do this one!
@@JohnnyDrinks besides smoothness and harshness was there any other distinct difference in taste?

Gin might be good for comparisons
Definitely a good idea
Good gin is so much better. Sucks because now that I know I have to buy the better stuff.
$10 vodka in Australia is 50ml
Congratulations on 1million subscribers, hard work pays off
So both of these in the same mixed drink
Belvedere for me. No gray goose thanks
Ironically the more expensive booze tastes less like booze than the cheap booze
You guys are at a million congrats been here since way before and videos only get better 🤩😎
Beluga Gold line frozen when I had it 5-7 years ago went down like water. No burn at all. Think the quality has gone downhill a bit.
Love these videos, try putting the cheap Vodkal through the water filter a few times, I heard it makes it taste better!
can you test finnish alcohols for example karhu beer
The beluga tastes amazing
Try Russian standard gold
how about adding a midrange bottle as well to kick it up a notch?
This is so weird, I mean it might be a good cheap vodka but I can clearly tell the difference in cheap and more pricey vodka in the taste alone. Now ofc there are bad expensive vodkas too but I have never had a cheap vodka that I can enjoy without mixers.
Can you compare car insurance deals?
Which one goes down smoother. Simple as that.
I used to drink a liter and a half of the cheap stuff every day just to stop the shakes.😔
Mid shelf vs top shelf
Goose, Kettle One and Tito's are the current go to's
Tito’s is trash. It’s made with corn. Not grains or potatoes as it should be
That's why I like potters triple distilled only like $15 half gallon, mix that shit with sugar free monster it's great
Bro vokda when it comes to smell youll always smell the diffrence its that rubbing alochol smell

Do rums next
👍
Do like 3 or 4 bottles, I'm a rum guy since I'm from New Orleans and a good sazerac rye whiskey.
This is dope. Need more vids like this please 💯🫡
Guys you defiantly need to put vodka in the freezer before tests like this… warm vodka straight… no go for me 😂
We gotta taste it as raw as possible.
@@JohnnyDrinks more of a man than me 😉
Kool enjoy your videos and information
ok, comparing rotgut vs top shelf is one thing, but now compare a $30 bottle to that $100 and i bet there is no difference at all.
Great content 👍👍👍 learning a lot from you guys..luv from india
IMHO the biggest difference in cheap vodka vs higher quality vodka is more in how you feel the day after rather than the taste.
Tequilas! Especially the Extra Añejo blend.
Good one
Thank you .. A good taste is everything...
Can you guys do something like a Crown royal whiskey and compare it to an expensive whiskey? That be a good onw
I can taste the difference…same with tequila…I can’t drink the cheap stuff.
Definitely different with tequila!
Maybe try at 3 different price points.

Dad which toilet paper gets the most jizz off your stomach?
Nah bro where is the scientific method... do it enough times you can't tell the difference after 6+ times destilled vodka
Absolute Vs Popov🤔🏌️
Please taste indonesian liquor such Arak Bali or our other liquor from indonesia...😊
I thought All Russian vodaka was banned
It’s all the same when it comes to vodka…
Ok
So you pay $100 bucks to break the top. Always go for the cheaper stuff. Especially if you are mixing. Is it ever worth $90 more.

I'm not a Vodka fan at all but I go for a higher end, higher proof spirit!!

I'm the opposite I want to cheap vodka instead of that rich b**ch vodka
Ever try putting cheapo vodka through a brita filter? Curious to see what you think
Try Reyka fellas. $20 price point and makes Titos taste like lighter fluid. Icelandic glacier water is the touch
voka is nasty
