She’s incredible..she’s at UCLA and very happy on their gymnastics squad...she’d make the Olympic team in 2020 if she wanted...

Most likely not tbh... She doesn't have skills that most elite gymnasts have and most gymnasts compete in college to finish off their career in a fun way.

Valerie pushed her way too hard. There was no need for this difficulty at this stage in her career.

I think they were comparing her to Nastia and they had to different bone structures. Shameful they did that but since the gymnastics association change the gymnast are more solid built, stronger, powerful and breaking records all because they are eating meals unlike Martha who wants them to be twiggy and what happens to twigs. Nutrition is so important.

Can someone tell me why she didn't try for Rio?????

She was injured a lot throughout the quad, especially in her shoulders, and training elite became too much of a stress on her body. So she decided to go back down to level 10, where she could train skills that wouldn't hurt her too much, and is now a student and part of the gymnastics team at UCLA. It's a real shame that she had such bad luck with injury, because she had such incredible talent especially on beam.

I hope that now things are changing that she will give elite another shot . More older ladies need to compete during and after NCAA

Classical stoic routine compared to the ucla viral one no smiles here at all dance is good but never seem happy dancing to classical music the pressure to get to olympics is intense. She seems much happier at ucla.

Why hasn’t USAG come up with inter-gym exchange programmes? That way Mihai can add some power to WOGA gymnasts and the WOGA coaches can add UB prowess and polish to the power tumblers…

She was being pushed too hard lost the joy in the sport she barely smiles here. The music is classical sounds like his daughters music but seems like Luikin was trying to push her to create another Nastia olympic champion . She burned out before 2016 olympics and chose to go to college instead. Times it the coaches and parents who want more the recognition the the gymnasts. Body shamed wow she looks beautiful here.
