Too young to get the morning after pill but not too young to become a mother?
Yeah but tbf they’re SO judgy from what I’ve heard. An easy and open place would encourage teens to take that extra step, as well at that it’s never spoken about at school, I done one lesson and on contraception and still didn’t understand it. Luckily I did wait and researched it when I was older! Really needs to be spoken about, it’s shamed about publicly not not educated

gosh a 19 year old with a 15 year old girl, and she's 15 while that pregnant... so she was barely 15 (if at all) when she got pregnant. So sad. My niece is 15 and this just makes me so sad.
sadly, they both knew what would cause a pregnancy and knew of all the risks. the fact she was only 15 is so sad and i understand at that age you do not make the most logical decisions but how wouldve this happened if properly monitored? i really hope they are a happy family but in most cases the father ends up leaving eventually because of how young they are. its really sad she really cant do anything outside of caring for the baby now instead of doing normal hobbies her age.

Some parents would be cruel and tell you if you want to pretend to be an adult, move out and be financially responsible for your child. This situation is always sad, honestly.

@@magnus1001 highly inappropriate yes, but I think it's also a criminal offence for a grown man to have sex with a minor as they are still considered children. That being said I think one of them lied about their age so the guy didn't really know until she was pregnant... tricky situation. I have 4 daughters and I lose sleep thinking about the dangers they may fall into 😫
@@SilverMermaid55 Yeah the internet is alternately the best and the worst thing to happen as far as technological advancement. Adults are tricked and cat fished on the internet countless times in a day, what chance do children stand against liars and cheats? You just have to be vigilant in watching out for your kids and be aware of who they are involved with including on the internet.

The reason she’s doing it is in case anything happens to her daughter, she doesn’t want the dad to have custody. It’s wrong and she needs to back off, it’s not her baby!
The second couple really made me mad - neither of them seemed to give a toss about the fact that they were about to have kids and clearly neither have any intention of letting it change their life and so it’s all going to fall on the mother. Chloe can’t even be bothered to put a load of laundry on to help her mother while she works all the hours she can to support the girl. That said as much as I would support my daughters if they fell pregnant, I would definitely be telling her that she is old enough to have sex, old enough to be having a baby soon then they need to grow up and start taking responsibility for things. The grandma wants parental responsibility (for obvious reasons) and the dad isn’t keen but the daughter “doesn’t care”. The entire attitude towards being a mother is just that of a stroppy teenager. I was a young mum too (fell with my first when I was 17) and I immediately was the most grown up and responsible person. I knew that I had to grow up to be a good mother and to be honest the way that I was headed before I fell pregnant, I always say that my son saved my life by forcing me to be responsible. I moved into my own place at 18 after he was born and my husband and I had all 5 of ours before I was 29 and we are still together 25 years on from the first baby. Some teen mothers are great - my daughters friend was 16 when she had her son 15 weeks early and she has been an amazing mother in a way I’ve seen mums far older than her struggle with. I’m not advocating for teen pregnancy but I would say that there are worse things that could happen to your child and some will be amazing mothers. The first girl seemed very grown up and both of the parents seem to be pretty good with their son despite being so young having him at 14.

@@PrendeIINothing to do with her age, it’s just that the cut off for social abortions here is 23 weeks and 6 days. For terminations when there is a life threatening health condition for mother or baby then termination is up to term. It’s way too high since there are tons of 23 weekers that survive and there have been people fighting to get it reduced to 20 weeks but it’s not happened.

It is illegal for them to be having sex under the age of 16 in the UK (I’m not sure where you are or the age of consent there) and so if the father is over 16 then yes it would be classified as statutory rape but if the father is the same age then it’s illegal for both of them to be having sex but neither of them would be considered rapists since neither are adults. My daughter is a year younger than you and has the same views you do of not even thinking about having sex (to be fair so is my 17 year old daughter) and it’s nice to hear you say that. Watching this makes you feel that all young girls are sleeping around despite being children and it’s good to know that you aren’t all that way. My daughter said one of the girls in her school year had sex with someone their first year in high school which is age 11 years old 😢

An epidural doubles the risk of a c-section. Some people don't want those things.
In the UK we don't have as many anaesthetists available for labour wards and their priority has to be for c section anaesthesia so it's still widespread option to have epidurals here but it's not always going to be guaranteed.
In South Africa you can not choose to have epidural only time its given to u is when u have a c-sections normal birth we go through all the pain

@@Reticence9zen924I’ve never seen a case where someone requesting an epidural isn’t able to get one. They may have to wait up to an hour if the anaesthetist is in theatre but they will still be able to get one. Maybe she just didn’t want one though - lots of people don’t. It seems an odd comment for OP to make to say that as though the only reason someone would stick with gas and air or pethidine/diamorphine is because they “don’t know epidurals exist” lol.
They haven't lived yet if they think it was time to have a baby, u know as parents u failed, coz they shouldn't think about being parents at that age more like after uni.
More like when they can financially support themselves independently plus have enough to support a baby .

In some places in Europe, last I checked, the drinking age is 16 but a lot of kids drink young these days.
the uk has always had a really bad binge drinking culture. its especially bad in smaller/underfunded towns since there's not a lot of youth clubs or things for teens to do.

Yes I was barely 20 when I had my first and I breastfeeding fed all 3 of my children well over a year n I'm pregnant with 4th willalso be breastfeeding I have friends at church who have breastfeeding fed however I do think majority opt to bottle feed but it us still thing

What happened with nursing the baby.? It's so good for mother and baby.
Teenagers breastfeed less than Mums over 18 because they suffer the stigma of having a baby so young and often feel they'd be judged further for breastfeeding in public etc. It's also true that unplanned pregnancies are a shock and people have less time to do research on how to breastfeed successfully etc because you need to do your homework to know what to do to keep milk supply up etc.

If it has to be their choice then they can as well choose to live financially & physically independent of their parents .
@nouvel0001 I just don't think an underage kid should be allowed to make that decision. It's illegal for them to consume alcohol, or have sex before 16. Keeping the child shouldn't be their decision.
