Um, there's now an issue with the false positive DLL thing. It appears as though Windows Defender removed the exceptions list and no longer allows the user to whitelist detected "threats". Now, the only way to prevent it from happening is to disable real time protection. Knowing Microsoft though, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of the option to disable RTP, and forced it to be always enabled

Hi, vdosplus can launch Windows CMD.exe, so it is possible to achieve anything a windows command or a batch file can do. My printing jobs are 99% using plain text files. This way (inside vdosplus): CMD /c start /min notepad.exe /p "C:\Users\...\Print Test\test 1.txt" * the '/p' argument says notepad to print instead of open * path+filename must be surrounded by quotes When printing PDF's: cmd /c start "" "C:\Users\...\Print Test\test 2.PDF" .. this will open the document with the associated program (Adobe, Foxit etc) .. then use the 'print' option inside the program When printing Rich Text format: cmd /c start "" wordpad "C:\Users\...\Print Test\test 3.RTF" .. then i use a script to automate mouse clicks and keystrokes, but of course it can be done in the manual way. And also the PDF example can be done in the automated way. You can also launch windows batch file from within vdosplus: cmd /c start "" somebatch.bat cmd /c start /min somebatch.bat ( or /max) Please take a look at my retro channel: youtube.com/@text_mode. WAUW! I am impressed! I was waiting for a solution to make dos programs work again on windows without extra software since I started using Windows Vista! It was a pain to get it installed, Windows kept telling me not to trust it and also AVG tried 3 times to put .dll's in quarantine, but ones installed, it worked! DOS games runs like crap, but it does run! I am amazed, but is there a way to increse the speed, so games become playeble?
I'm speechless. A random guy on the internet just patches DOS emulator kernel and simply puts it back into Windows fully functional. The hassle with it isn't worth it for me, not at the cost of risking damaging my computer, I guess I'll simply stay with VMware virtual machine with proper MS-DOS installed inside it.

Help! When I install this on Windows 7 Ultimate, the installer constantly re-opens in an endless loop as a virus! Had to edit the batch file to remove the admin check in order for it to install fine.
I'm pretty sure the issue is related to the video mode, if you switch to fullscreen native vga 320x200 mode any game will work fine but i'm afraid modern graphics cards do not allow that

dosbox is pretty broken, if you try to run quake on it, you run faster than normal and you dont have ammo (i think)
