Bathtub Drain Stopper / Trip Waste Assembly

  • In this Bathtub Drain Stopper Video, I walk you thru the steps to take in setting up and or adjusting a typical trip waste assembly. This common bathtub drain stopper mechanism will accommodate bathtubs 14" & 16" in height.
Most of what you see in this video is actually inside of your walls and flooring. The only visible items you would actually see are the trip lever plate and the factory-installed chrome strainer. Any questions, you can reach me at info@bobsplumbingvideos.com.

While Americs is a Youth based culture meaning marketers target the 18-35 yr old demographic for their disposable income, the knowledge required to keep the American machine running resides in the depths of the experienced and seasoned veterans.
This is BY AN UNIVERSAL EXPANSE, the best tutorial on the drain lever system that I have viewed.
How can you tell if it is effective? When you can remember everything that was stated when you are practically applying the knowledge. Now I will teach my son and that's how the American machine is kept running.
    WELL DONE.👏👏👏👍

I currently live in a duplex and rent one side out. Our side has had various issues, and I just discovered today what these systems are called. One side has a trip lever with no plunger or spring-to-stopper system, while our side, has the lever with the spring, but there is no hardware connected where the spring ought to go, from the To to the non-existent plunger. I have a 2 year old, by the way, and your reference to the little toy soldier brought laughable tears to my eyes. Excited to see more of your videos. Thanks for sharing.

My tub hasn't been draining right for a while now. Cleaned the hair out, drain cover removed and replace properly. Still wouldn't drain very well. I was cleaning the tub after soaking some oven racks and leaned on the trip lever. WHOA, I could hear the water rushing down. I've known the problem but not the fix. UNTIL NOW! Thanks so much for the great information. Just knowing the industry name for it is a big help. The guy at the store won't look at me like I have three heads when I ask where they are now.
