If you want the context of the song, she's a witch and the townspeople are coming to arrest her and drown her in the river. The whole song is her cursing them...I love watching her face go from scared and vulnerable at the beginning to gleeful madness at the end, followed by her smug, seductive satisfaction as the people arresting her are dead on the ground and she sashays off into the night. Fucking epic. (Also, watch the reflection in the mirror -- the reflection turns a different way than she does when the door opens, and then blows out the candle when they leave!) Loved watching your face watching this video!!! This video was what hooked me on this band years ago!
When I sing along with this one (because god *damn* is it a good song!), I always picture myself as the Devil tempting the condemned that, even if they don't *want* a deal, that that deal will be better than the fate in store for them otherwise.
i know i’m late as hell but i’ve had the absolute pleasure of knowing these amazing people for years. they’re from Durham, North carolina and are quite literally the nicest people on earth
this tune is actually about her being a witch and being hauled to the river to be drowned. (notice her reflection in the mirror when they barge through the door.) The two guys outside are her protectors (they have black eyes) and at the end she kills all her attackers and her hands become unbound instantly before walking off with the two protectors. If you go back and listen to the lyrics close you'll hear the "plot" too.
So this group is my favorite group after Shinedown. They actually just released a completely fan funded album called The Light that's been nominated for a Grammy and has over a million streams. They've been grinding on the tour circuit and has lots of fan favorite songs, such as Dance in the Graveyard, All Good People, which they just released off their upcoming album, also fan funded through Kickstarter (they became the third top music funded project of all time) called the Dark. They're just an amazing band and should be a lot bigger than they are.
If you go back to the opening scene when they come through the door, her head turns, but not in the mirror. She is accused of being a witch. As it turns out, they were correct
I went and researched Delta Rae and found that they formed in Durham North Carolina, a short trip down the road from my hometown of Raleigh North Carolina. Just thought that was awesome to know. Thanks MRM!🎸
she had to have been posessed by satan lol her hair blowing like something evil and her enemies all seem to die when she was done singing to them. spooky but good song
Video was great. It is about messing with the wrong person. Because he or she is small, or looked down on by society, you think you can be an asshole and get away with it. Not in this video. The song is more about a parent trying to save the life of a son, but God has already decided that the son should die. A parent against God or Fate. Interesting. I know the artists said they could not express the song in a video until someone thought of those witch trials. In the video, she saves herself from God or Fate. I thought she did not have a chance.
I would like to know how we would be supporting you by buying the products shown? If the money is going to charity I will purchase a few things. However, if it goes to your pocket I opt out.

You won’t regret it. Such good music & they have a new album coming out 3/19/21
Them. They have different vocalists, but they're worth it!
I randomly came across this song a few years back on some Dark/Gothic Southern playlist - not my usual music, but definitely added it to my spotify!
Love this group. Have this album. If I Loved You, Dance in Graveyards, and Morning Comes are some of my favorites from it

I got the same feeling from this song as you did. Great minds think alike 🤣
Had sort of a chain gang song feel to it to me.
Ty, I saw the video of Glenn Campbell - "I'm Not Gonna Miss You". He had Alzheimers and he did that song before the condition completely consumed him.
I love Delta Rae! Another great song by them is Dance in the Graveyard!! One of the guys takes lead on it!!
Ian Holljes, the blonde singers brother. Both the blondes are her brothers.

Yeah, I've seen them live a bunch of times in Raleigh and they're amazing!
delta rae "if i loved you"
Delta Rae has some more videos. One is All Good People
It's so powerful. I'm so happy they finally were able to make it.
I quite liked this.
It sounds like a battle cry
Tbis was interesting... has a really semi southern but edgy vibe... it would’ve been really appropriate in the movie Django! 🖤😊

This song slaps, as they say. I would recommend reacting to the band refused and their song rev 001
