Yamaha FZ09/MT09 Stock Exhaust Mod

For this video I attempt to make my 2017 FZ09 louder while on a budget. It was kind of like doing surgery to the muffler. I cut the back portion open, cut a pipe and welded it shut. The sound got slightly louder. The backfires and pops from the exhaust got much louder. I had fun making this video!

So much work for nothing. Seems the same. You should had opened the last wall and change the end pipe for a 2"...

It not much difference except make it work like straight pipe.i tried this on my mt09 2014 long time ago.i end up buy a m4 slip on...much much difference

Where did you find the picture of the inside of the cat?

send your ECU off and have it flashed...that will stop that terrible backfiring and add more power

Hi I found most challenging part is to re-install the stock pipe back with such bladder box as I just failed once in my fisrt trial. Would you please advice if any best way or tips when trying to connect the pipe heads to bike,such annoying.

Too much back fire, u should add some fiber and remove divider sir. For better sound and big diameter tip

Does your exhaust still pop? Did it adjust? Did you reset the ecu or get it flashed?

It sounds stock. Mine sounds just like this. Without the pops.

You still have the cat restriction. I did a cat bypass mod. Much easier and more effective. Check out my RUclips channel and see how.
