On the campaign trail--stop in Los Angeles. President Carter was greeted at LAX by Governor Jerry Brown and Mayor Tom Bradley. His first stop was at North High School in Torrance. Then it was on to the Los Angeles Convention Center to address the Labor Federation. At the Beverly Hilton Hotel fundraiser, he was joined by Senator Ted Kennedy.
One of our greatest presidents,he had a uphill climb from the start.
If Operation Eagle Claw had been a success, I think Carter's chances would have improved considerably.
