Well, I also agree with her stand that people in Congress should not be allowed to buy individual stocks of companies that the government want as vendors. For example, the government voted on buying Microsoft instead of some other software, and then Pelosi went out and bought millions of Microsoft stocks before their stock price went up. Many congress people have insider information, then go buy the company stocks before the public knows about the government plan to purchase the product.

AOC had a good point about asking why the range of protection is shorter than assault weapons to fire. She’s obviously a democrat but I’m glad she’s an unbiased Representative. Assault weapons have been a threat to the country since COLUMBINE and this wouldn’t be happening as frequently if we just banned assault weapons all together, and the background check to include family members in the home and outside the home as well as family history. I can’t wait to see what laws will turn into place after all this clusterfuck as getting answers is like a dentist performing a root canal simply by the fact that Kimberly was more interested in making the public worry and not actually help anybody through all this shit.

She's actually often on point in her line of questioning if you review her past hearings. You don't have to agree with what she says, but her questions and arguments tend to be concise and probing. Although she's definitely not immune, she also seems less prone than most of her colleagues on the left and right to make a political theater out of hearings.
I'm amazed Secret Service had such a small scale security team. A child was able to make it look third rate. Now everyone knows how easy it is.

Will give credit there for sure. That was an excellent question. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't watched this personally. No matter what cynical reason she's saying it doesn't really matter but her specifically asking these questions certainly does. And she called it a semi-auto! These people NEVER even get the most basic of firearm terms correct. I know that example is the lowest of low bars, but so many trip over them regardless time and again. This is the first time I've ever heard her speak and had no real gripes or hostility. No snide remarks, no sneaky gun grab shit, no Trump jabs, no partisan quips or activism. Whether on her own or by mandate, she actually did her job right for once. Infuriating hearing, but it was good to see they're at least presenting this to the masses as bipartisan as possible. I highly doubt the sincerity, but it's the image they need to convey to us, the oblivious masses of sheep who only look up when something this big happens, and frankly, the rest of the world. This whole things been such a stagerring shit show and it gets worse by magnitudes with every day that passes, but I'll take the win when I can and give credit when due. As bad as this hearing was for our country today, at least that came out of it, and that's a good thing.

This AOC I saw made a statement at the beginning that sounded good saying that things were unacceptable but not demanding any responsibility or substantial change. Note when AOC asked questions they were all softball questions designed to let Cheatle have an easy non- self critical answer. All the questions were really roundabout framed to make you think about Democrat talking points. Mainly wouldn't the best solution be to banish weapons that are like an AR. Then at the end she looks good pointing out a few things about government investigations that everyone knows to be true, while revealing nothing . The questions she asked anyone following the news could have answered. Quite the showtime to make AOC seem like she is not unhinged, a thing rarely seen.

Not a Republican or a Democrat and I haven't exactly been a huge fan of AOC over the years... but she's growing on me over the last year after the David Grusch whistleblower hearing and this hearing. I can appreciate and respect a non-partisan perspective. Any lawmaker who is always biased 1 way or the other, I'm immediately very apprehensive because neither side is 100% right or wrong, in my opinion.
She's evolving and I can appreciate a lawmaker who evolves as opposed to being hard-headed.
It's not even just lawmakers who are partisan 1 way. Any citizen, media group, or otherwise who is always 💯 biased 1 way or the other for years/decades... I don't their opinion to the same standard. And I think much of America is waking up to the idea that maybe... they're both right and wrong in a different capacity.

The first question should have been why the DIRECTOR of the secret service is a WOMAN...I mean, has she been in wars? Was she a Navy Seal? Does she somehow have better tactical insight than these type of men who have seen this kind of action and lived their lives around being on a team that defends and infiltrates? I don’t think her being a woman has shit to do with it, and being in war or part of the military has nothing to do with it either. An average person with zero tactical training and no military experience would have known that was an area that should have been covered. The building is 130-150 yards away with a direct line of sight to the stage where Trump was standing, it takes no tactical knowledge to look at that building, look at the stage, and say, “maybe we should put someone up there, that looks like a potential threat area.” It’s common sense.
