1) MAM - Alien Technology - Focus going down the right side first to unlock the production multiplier. This means finding a SAM ore node quickly. Production multiplier does not work on extractors, miners, or generators, but works on everything else. 2) Only hand craft blue power slugs into power shards and only do what you need. Save the yellow and purple slugs to run through a constructor that has a Somersloop added to double the amount that constructor outputs. 1 blue slug = 2 power shards, 1 yellow = 4 power shards, 1 purple = 10 power shards. Do the same for critter parts (1 critter part -> 2 protein -> 4 DNA Samples = Lots of coupon points. 3) You'll want to invest into nobelisks and the pulse nobelisks once you get to steel. Several Mercer sphere and somersloops are surrounded by multiple enemies, so the pulse nobelisk comes in very handy for crowd control. (same goes for the shock rebar). 4) Dimensional Depots start off with a very slow input (15/min), but you can put down multiple DD's and feed them the same parts to increase the speed. 5) Once you have DD's unlocked, always keep enough resources on you to build a DD when exploring to hand feed until you unlock the ability to upload directly from inventory.
I am a big believer in Splody Rebar. 4 slots damage compared to 1 or 2 for most other things. I use nobelisk some to clear rocks but that's about it. And using the doubler....oh my. I set up a chain to do all that since I didn't have many loops. Double black powder, then double refined powder, then double rebar ammo, then double splody rebar ammo. I got the Iron Pipes recipe so really don't need to double that. For now at least I just double things I can't invest long term into producing. Maybe later I double things for the sink or whatever.
@@yosemitedan7457 So am I, but there are some somersloops and mercer spheres guarded by 1-2 large spiders and a dozen smaller spiders. That is where the stun nobelisks come in handy.
@@MrRaetrace I use the cheese of a crafting bench so the boss spiders aren't nearly as bad and once I learned the way to fight the little guys they stopped being a problem. Grab your rebar gun with regular ammo, don't try to lead them with shots, when they stop and turn toward you, dead spider. A few hits from the ones on the flanks aren't really a big deal. And I consider critter remains a renewable resource. If I have a constructor or two available I will double, double DNA capsules but of anything else is going on I wait or don't bother. Give it a bit of time and go harvest more. Easy peasy.l
Good stuff. I tend to name the Lizard Doggo Coupon because in the end of the day most things he brings are going to become coupons. Maybe some variation of that? Lotto, Gambler cause it is kinda like the Lotto or winning a bet....lol Random if you ever read '9 Princes in Amber.' I tend to put down one constructor to do solid biofuel because that will feed 15 burners. I have never actually built 15 burners though. I leave enough room for 15 but only add burners as needed for additional power. If I don't have coal power by the time I need 300 power I feel like I am lagging myself. You do you though for sure. I was getting a good chuckle when you didn't notice while putting down that second row of burners that one was out of place. then you kept deleting and redoing the first row. Speedy Cheffrey. Go fast so you have to do it again and again and take far longer than if you only went slightly slower. Measure twice, cut once.

I’d kind of like to see what goes into the initial planning for a larger scale factory. Like the calculations of what inputs and outputs you need, how you plan out the layout of all the various machines, how different lines link up, the balancing, etc
@@nazgul37 I can do that! A quick summary though is I usually use satisfactory calculator for my numbers and choose recipes/alt recipes at random sometimes because they're useful, other times just to switch it up!
