Anna-Karin Klockar: Speeches | Klaas Stok & NDR Vokalensemble

In her award-winning composition "Speeches", the Swedish composer Anna-Karin Klockar refers to three historical speeches: the Declaration of Women's Rights from 1791, the surrender speech of the indigenous chief Chief Joseph from 1877 and an indictment from 1870 on the treatment of animals. The NDR Vokalensemble performs the work under the direction of Chief Conductor Klaas Stok in the Kleiner Sendesaal of the NDR Landesfunkhaus Niedersachsen Broadcasting Center in Hanover.
