@@jorgemosqueda9812I think it is because it is a different gameplay. In custom scenario on maps like CBA/CBA HERO you are obligated to learn patrols, runners that lure away enemy units from combat, how to stack units to raze quickly, how to micro archers etc because the maps are just fighting. In random map, players couldn't focus on such things. Recently though, random map players have push themselves to the best level this game has ever seen and are now "discovering" these patrols that Scenario players been using since I discovered this game in 2011. There are so many amazing things in custom scenario gameplays that could definitely be applied in random map. I quit this game on voobly in 2018 so I don't know how active custom scenario is.
Yeah i was doing this decade ago when in uni in cba first time when i saw it i was like is it glitching, It was 101 called patrolling and best to practice was celts and japa back then
I watched Hera do this in Hera vs Viper Red Bull final and his 20-30 knights were melting 30 halbardiers as if they never existed. In the end he should of come out with 0 knights and 10 halbs left. He was left with 15 knights all halbs dead. Insane.
Fine if it was well known exploit that the devs refuse to fix, but this is a fairly new find and totally breaks the games dynamic. I love hera, but to do that as already rank #1 against a teammate, in a tournament, feels bad
@@mattbeutler2907 I agree it feels bad if put that way, I was kind of surprised it was "allowed" for a first minute. I never seen it utilized like that before. I saw people play it, but I thought it was done because it looked pretty. To be honest because of that my feel was that Hera was the only one who actually knew how to use or utilize that thing and how powerful it is. If it was something that Viper also knew how to use, but didn't want to, because he saw it as exploit or cheat of some sort, its kinda bad for Hera. The commentaries T90 never said anything bad about it, so, I felt, it was only Hera who actually knew what was going to be the outcome. 30 knights run away from 30 halbs, Hera, did not. It was very surprising.
Yeah, Dave covered it a long time ago. Sadly pros are kinda dumb about new tactics and refuse to listen to him until one of pros finally does it and suddenly they all realize the power.

This video is stupid, of course u always gonna win if the enemy sends units 1 by 1, every test where u have more than 1 unit VS another group of soldiers is a huge difference, killing that single unit gonna make the micro good for u if the opponent sucks

It's the fault of the organizers for not banning it. It had been around for a little while already. It's never the fault of the player who should use every allowed tool at his disposal to win.

phosphoru also discovered this a while ago but for the purpose of quickly breaking through walls
I just find out that Survivalist showed this more than year ago
Thats not a phosphoru discovery, that tactic was even at the legacy aoe ALWAYS, even this "exploit" too

Was doing this on Archers Blood on MSN gaming zone. If you didn't stand ground and patrol your archers, you lost
🤔
I would wanna see how 20 knights or so perform against a cost efficient number of camels (or pikes) with that "trick"
Can do
Qould love to see it maybe against halbs
Hera wrecked a lot of halbs with this.
Use it against halbs?
