Both players see the same thing but the relic check sum goes out of sync. my original thought of "its this easy, but this is how i control my monks normally" turned out to be an a spoiler that the crash logs from 6+ months ago shows that multiple of my game de syncs ware caused by the relic check sum and I was the player with the mismatching check sum. Sorry friends. also, from a quick investigation, this bug does not work with a monk + transport ship but it does work with a monk + Siege ram but maybe my friend messed up the transport ship test I didnt try it myself to verify. it also works with 2 monks tested with both monks standing next to eachother.

Unfortunately they don't combat these cheating mods, so they'll just give up and add it the official game. I still feel very strongly against the range mod, which they added to the game because they didn't put any effort in fighting the Anne_HK mod. It's so stupid that we can see the precise range of buildings without having to count. It ruined tower rushes and castle drops, too. Same for the ring to find enemy TCs imo. It's not quality of life, it's just cheating. Just make every map explored at that point.

Theres a mod in the game that shows herdable ranges and draws them around your tc and the circles disappear in feudal age. Imo its pretty much cheating but hey its a public mod anyone can download.

The sheep in random maps are generally set to avoid player lands by a certain amount. From the looks of it, the standard maps are also set to use "find_closest", which will grab the closest spot to the player resources and place the sheep there. So not every map will follow these rules, but it may be a standard practice for the standard maps.

I had a match yesterday where an opponent started the match and went straight to my sheep in a straight line, then he went hard in a 30% angle to my second spawn of sheep, and then staight to my hunt. Clearly a map hacker but I still won the game. I think this mod its ok though, since for most players the ring is already there in their mind, after using the mod for a maybe 10 games most people would have memorized the possible area for the herd/hunt.

I tried it a few times, only worked with spearmen to me. Funnily enough, ive had LESS people do this since your vid. Like 3 weeks ago, i had desyncs almost every other game... Enjoy your thanksgiving !

Range mod is definitely legal, they added 2 mods to default aoe settings : smaller trees and range mod.
