In Mandarin (or Nocatee) a house built in 1988 in a nice neighborhood say along, San Jose, South of 295, you'll pay over $700k for a 2300sq ft. We bought North Jax, Pulaski and 295 off of Starratt Rd, was built in 2005, full acre, pond, HOA, and 2300sq ft. $400k. No comparison. And you get diversity and a country feel. School rating isn't great, but this country is bias. It's great up here. Nice video
I was there one year or a bit longer.. It was semi built up with many developments still to go. Many large pools and slides and very well kept. A lot of pretty landscaping around the pools esp. I looked at the town homes and there was only one design I liked. The houses are very close but I was looking for no more yard work. What I thought you would mention is the fact of no down town. I thought a downtown with shops would be in such an expensive place but it was just a very big parking lot with ship malls.
Thanks for commenting. How long ago did you look? The Town Center area offers more businesses today than it did a few years ago. In fact a few new businesses just opened this month.
@@AndrewMichaelCoastalHavenGroup it isn't the amount of stores. It is the lack of ambiance. A beautiful town like Nocatee should have a walkable downtown with shops. Lunch ,coffee and bookstores. Not aN extra large parking lot with strip malls. I live down south of there by a couple of hours. I thought it would be more like Winter Park It is a new town so maybe it will have that sweet spot one day.
Great video. Gives a better idea as to the lifestyle that exists in the area. When you buy a house, you buy a way of life. Not everyone's lifestyle is the same (boring if it was....). Thanks for the analysis.

Thank you for posting. Your money definitely goes further in north Jacksonville than it does in Nocatee.

I couldn’t agree more with you. The house may be stunning, but if you don’t like the amenities and what’s around it you won’t be happy
Homes and land are too overpriced in Florida, causing the working middle class to be stuck in overpriced apartments.

Nocatee is so over rated
It's not for everyone. Which communities do you like?
It’s the best place in the state to raise a family. If you don’t have kids, no idea why you’d be here.
You can eat the bugs.......
Absolutely!
