Jacksonville has the highest primary in the whole thing...

I've lived in Jax, Fl / Orange Park my whole life. In Jax on the Southside, I have seen quite a few floods but I also know that drainage can be improved. It's not just a matter of a clogged drain on a street. Those drains / drain pipes flow into ditches that flow into Pottsburgh Creek and into the ST Johns River. When the tides are high and ditch is full then the water has nowhere to go. There has to be a better way. But with American tax dollars going everywhere but to Americans, it's unlikely those changes will ever happen.

Southern pines has a high HOA fee with no amenity. Not sure why they charge what they do.

Q: Recasting- Does it extend your current mortgage out 30 years with a new home, allowing you to keep the old home interest rate? Or does the recasting give you a new loan with new loan interest, but allows you to take all the profits from the sale of your old home and roll it into the new mortgage. But the new home is repaid at the recast loan interest rate, not the old home interest rate. I.E. if I have a current mortgage for 3% and a recast for a new home, do I keep the 3% interest for the new home? (All depending on qualifying, of course😊) Very interesting video. Thanks!

Great video. We are in Michigan and thinking about possibly heading down south in the next couple of years. Our daughter is thinking about going to UNF once she graduates high school. t looks like golf cart (golf car?!) paths on the side of the roads. Do they take you to the shopping areas? I live in Jax and it sucks! They drive so horrible and there is a negative vibe in the air and it just seems like the place is dying!! I’m in riverside and it used to be a cool little hippy part of town but now it’s just like every city nowadays lots of homeless people and trashy but there are still small pockets of goodness left but their shrinking

It seems to me that a common theme of people who move to Florida from other states or outside of the country is that more often than not they either love it and want to stay in Florida for the rest of their lives or they hate it and say "OMG what was I thinking?! I have to get out of here ASAP!!". It doesnt seem like there is much in between.

I hope people don't think all these bad comments are just because we people are trying to be an ass, because we truly aren't, most of these comments are very true. Jacksonville is not the palace it once was. People truly have swamped here and now the beaches are vey dirty, and unsafe, the traffic is a nightmare, people don't k ow how to drive, mostly immigrants, maybe giving out drivers license without test, but it's true. Also othets are aggressive drivers, and never see a police in site, muss less pulling people over. I been trying to move way on outskirts of Fl, or across into Ga line, but nothing within 2 hours because Regular Floridains have swooped all of it up to get put of this City. But we get a lot of Damage from the hurricanes Sir. Trees falling on homes, Cars, and Roofs torn off. By a lot of hurricanes that hit other parts of Florida. My Roof took a hit by a tree beside my house and took out Rafters, major holes in Roof, we had traps we had to keep putting onfor 2 years because insurance not wanting to pay. Now insurance is a major cost for all homes being bought. Insurance companies pulled out, know that to, because we got stuck in this rental, we are still in, after selling our home in the end of 2019, and no we didn't sell to make a fortune, it was before the prices went up. But the cost of home owners insurance is massive and so is Taxes. Looking at 500 to a 1000 more a month added on to your payment. Yes a lot of traffic because we are crowed with immigrants and people who flocked here from up north. Very crowded. This is all Honesty.

I just love reading the comments from people that lived in Jacksonville forever, yet still complain about living here, I have a suggestion🤔 pack-up and move...relocate😏 As for me, I'm in the *Murray Hill, *Riverside area, with Avondale to the South and close by to the North we have Lackawanna🤨. I have watch the price of real estate and rent jump like crazy near me.

The older houses in Avondale and riverside were built off the ground and were rodent flood. The new houses are built in swamps that they put hay and dirt to raise the soil. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Alligators can climb your fence at least the fence next door to us, it was Sunday so the Sherriff came out to wrestle it. Put it in the SUV and took it away. Guy next door has little dogs and checked to figure out how it got in, checked cameras, it had to climb the 4' fence.

Missouri and many old neighborhoods in NE will have garages in the back because they were the original carriage houses converted over for cars. So badly wanted to ask, "Are we there yet?"😂😂throughout the ride.

Good video. Grew up here most of my life, owned a home here and sold it. This is my home but I’m finally thinking about venturing out. Not a fan of what Jax is turning into.

I was there one year or a bit longer.. It was semi built up with many developments still to go. Many large pools and slides and very well kept. A lot of pretty landscaping around the pools esp. I looked at the town homes and there was only one design I liked. The houses are very close but I was looking for no more yard work. What I thought you would mention is the fact of no down town. I thought a downtown with shops would be in such an expensive place but it was just a very big parking lot with ship malls.

I've Ben in j-ville my entire life and it's a awesome place.

Jacksonville is one big, Black Gang toilet! High Crime, Murders, Over priced, run down. Don't even visit to shop, eat at Restaurants, sightseeing, etc. Don't even stop for gas. Get gas before or after approaching when going up and down I-95 for your Safety, so you don't get robbed!

I just moved here from Charleston. Big fan of The Citadel! But we are more Clemson people. We came to get away from the insane traffic that is now Charleston. Traffic here is nothing compared to Charleston. I’m down in Clay County and I really like it. Healthcare is better here as well. We’ve been here two months and two family members have been hospitalized. Much better care here!
