This is why I recommend the tablet:
*Small
*Affordable
*Good amount of pressure sensitivity
*A good first graphics tablet (also my first)
*Good looking
*Battery free pen
*USB cable
*Good amount of express keys
*The pen stand is better than other ones
Cerystal Gaming exact same reasons for me :)
In what context is a small drawing tablet good?
@@torugho do you need a huge active area? cause i dont, i had the huion WH1409 and boy was it too damn big, drawing felt like exercising, now i use this and works 100% better and cost 1/4 less as well. I draw with my wrist nit my whole hand, who actually draws with their whole hand anyways
Cerystal Gaming I AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ima get this tablet soon
Thirsty Leaf u can take it with u wherever u go it’s small to fit in a bag .-.
I personally really like it lol. I ordered this recently without even looking at reviews other than a few articles that said it was a great starter since I've been desperately saving for a tablet and I just got it yesterday, installed the drivers, and used it. It was AMAZING and had so much to offer right from the start. For me, the biggest pro was that it was so big compared to most starter tablets. I personally don't like small art tablets so I was holding off on getting something like those ones you find for like $25 that are like 5x3 and the active area is like 3x1 or something (idk something like that). I also really like the pressure sensitivity of the pen and the amount of buttons and features. This is just my take on it though lol
I saw it on a shop, I was thinking of buying it but I told myself to look for it's review first. And I think I'll go back Into that shop again to purchase it 😂😂
have you found problems withe while using PS or Ai ?
josvani I was having some kind of problem on its sensitivity actually in some softwares like Kira. But I think that this drawing tablet is not just compatible with some software but over all it's good. You just need a better software tho.
You wont be sorry, I am a pro and use their tablets all the time, including their wonderful GT Cintig killer
AipoT ummmm what shop did u see it at I don't trust amazon?
😂😂 same!! Im waiting for it to arrive now lol!
Very detailed review! Especially about the texture of the express keys and cables
Very helpful review, thank you!
Battery free. Great.
just bought this , can't wait for it to arrive ! just started getting into drawing
Thank you man for the review!
Good detail review! It rare to see a review that close up the nib and press it so people can know how springy the nib is.
Thanks man, that was really helpful!
I'm ordering it. Can't wait to try it on soon :)
oh!can you tell me if its actually worth it or nah?
how is it?
Lea Mushkatin I have it and it’s pretty good for its price I recommend it
XP Pen Deco 01. Fantastic tablet. No complaints. Quite cheap for the market. I really liked this one , and the reviews are pretty good .
Planng to get it this year to replace my worn out, (The green one) wacom one,, This tablet seems great! Im thinking of getting the medium because its more my type.
Love you videos! Keep it up!
I really like this tablet, in fact it was one of the first tablet that I ever owned. I used it for drawing digitally and playing osu, but for some reason the tablet is really easy to get dirty and maybe because I played osu a lot, it started to show a rectangle mark on the middle I don't know why, but it didn't show any noticeable effect on the performance and it disappeared when I wipe it to clean it off with a tissue. So I recommend cleaning it after you use it, especially when you use it a lot.
Thanks for information :D
Bought it. My first ever drawing tablet. It's great! I highly recommend that if you are on a budget, and want a decent sized tablet, go for it. I have been using it about 1 month now and the performance is AMAZING! I made a DIY cover so it doesn't get scratched up while I'm playing osu! 9.5/10
Nice vid. How about this compared to Intuos Art medium. Which is better? Thanks
are you gonna post those time-lapses with that tablet???
Can we use a different stylus that doesn't have the horizontal wiggle?
Hey can you please help me, I want to use the upper button of huion H640p to draw with pen and lower button to erase in OneNote app?
Good review, thank you very much!
can I use this for writing notes for my course or to teach dtudents
Will it work more than a year??
Has someone compared Huion H640P or H580X, vs. One by Wacom for drawing?
I don' care about the buttons, so which feels better in drawing?
I'm a lefty and I see this on sale at Amazon. Going from Ipad to tablet. This looks like a buy for me! :)
hi, did you get the tablet? Im also a lefty, and im wondering if its comfortable enough for a left hand user. Thanks
@@grypp203 Actually yes, when you install the Huion software on your computer. There is an app that lets you rotate it so the quick buttons are on the right side. While you draw with the left. One thing to note that this IS a basic tablet. Not a lot of fancy features that I've been aware of. But honestly, it's a good starting tablet.
@@kanden27 Alright, thanks a lot
How does the battery-free thing work?
Does it work in illustrator, ps nd coreldraw?
Can someone tell me which is better??? HS64 or H640p??? They have almost the same specs but I dont know why H640p is much expensive given it was released earlier. Help. Ive been thinking which one to buy for the past 3 efin days :(((
Thanks for the clear and concise review.
Thinking of trying a tablet. Not for drawing, mostly for masking/compositing in Photoshop.
A couple of Questions:
Does it work in Lightroom?
Will this small size be OK, for use on a 28" monitor?
Thanks. I have not used lightroom except for a few times so I don't know what would I do with a tablet there, but even no-name programs worked as expected with it. For me it was not small and I used it with 31" LG 4K display. I prefer it to using a bugger tablet so I don't have to move my hand from the elbow.
is this any good on krita?
Huion RT300 or H640p which is better for a student.?
is support 2k monitors??
This is perfect for me xD
I LOVE Huion tablets and Im a pro artist, their support is also the best I have ever come across and I have used everyone lol. The problem for me is the movement of the tip as you pointed out here, it is the leaft and right movement not the up and down spring movement. The slight movement really puts me off, I do a lot of precise work and inking and it just spoils everything. If your an artist who is lets say watercolor or felt tip type work it is not a problem though. I use their high end "Cintig" beater, IT is extraordinary value for your money and less than half price of the Wacom Cintig, they even supply 2 pens and a plastic screen guard {that everyone removes} open fingered glove. Best of all their support are superstars, they are a Chinese company that actually want to keep their customers. NOTHING LIKE WACOM who are a disgrace when it comes to support. The only other critique is the design of where the leads go is sometimes not well thought out but hey, when you can buy TWO of their amazing tablets and even one of these featured also for the price of a Cintig you can adapt to the cables just fine. TRY HUION FIRST
Sir please reply me , Should i purchase huion tablets actually i want to purchase this for photo retouching and wacom tablets are more costly than huion but both have same functions.
I am just little nervous that there are many people who are saying that wacom are great but we know it costly as well.
But some are saying huion are good.
Sir pls tell me huion are reliable?
Is this compatible with Jamboard app?
i have that tablet and love it.
its a good size for me since i work in a bed (im 11 ok :Pepehand:). but if we're talking the drawing space. its ok. i dont need a big one but it cold be a little bit bigger.
the sensitivity is very nice! (maybe because ive been using a mouse for so long 😩)
enough press keys
nice pen (like every drawint tablet)
battery free pen pog! (one of the reasons i bought it)
How long have you been using it?is it good for long term use?
Can I use it with a laptop that's has 4 GB ram and i3 intel core 8th gen
Is it compatible with windows 10?
Hello, is it compatible with Chrome OS Chromebook?
For beginners (also first time using a tablet) which one do you recommend on buying first : huion h640p or the hs64??
I really don't know which one I should buy
Legit me too
@@dilucsrighttoe4761 I ended up buying xp pen lol
But someone told me if u need to carry your tablet around it would be best to pick hs64 since it's smaller
I'm also confused to choose which one
Is it compatible with macbook pro?
Does it have a eraser shortkey?
mine includes a glove made of special fabric that only covers your pinky, ring finger, and the side of your hand that rests on the tablet when you're drawing.
I bought one for $7. The palm rejection on my Spectre x360 does not work very well because I keep my pen high, so this glove is useful so I don't have to think about the way I am placing my hand each time.
hi there. I was wondering if it's okay to buy this one because i found other reviews that their huion tablets don't last long like a month or two. How long did your h640p last? I'm just curious because i will be moving on using drawing tablets and be able to use my pc so I can draw.
I have not had much time for drawing in a long time so I cannot say much about how durable this one is, but it is still working. I know that wacoms last forever. Most of tablets at my workplace are over 10 years old and we never had any malfunctioning.
@@Tech-Guy thank you! I guess I'll go buy this one.
What did you think of the surface? I have the original Huion 610 and I find the surface quite slippery.
It is smooth but it is OK. I cannot define what exactly I like, but for example I am bothered by feel of Intuos Art. As with any tablet you can put something on top of it and it will work, so sometimes I would put a sheet of smooth vinyl on top of tablet, or folder cover, or a very textured plastic mouse pad, depending on what I am working on. It does make nibs wear out quicker (not only for this tablet, but I did that with any other tablet I used).
Is it Bluetooth type thing?
I got overwhelmed there was so many different drawing tablets
I debating between this and hs64
Which one did you get
@@grossgrandpa5208 i ended up getting the Hunion HS64
Hey I'm torn between those two as well still not sure which one to get. Does the hs64 have a better texture? I know the h640p is very smooth which might be a con
It is work with phone?
How long does one nib last?
It also works on Android phones
Can you tell me how you turned off Windows Ink?
There is a checkbox on the "Stylus" tab 3:49
Tomorrow I'm gettin my 50$ tablet 😊
sun flower - Christmas, or my birthday I will get this tablet! Can’t wait. Another option is saving my money which was a recommendation from my mom 🥰
Hi. I just got this tablet. Do you know if it can be used with Keynote or Power Point?
I'm a teacher and I want to use for my class
It can be used with any Windows software. There is also some software that will let you draw over screen if you are giving a live presentation
Can the tablet be used upside down? I'm lefty and I don't know how to use those 6 buttons otherwise
Yes, you change that in settings
Is this worthy for 3d sculp or modelling? Because this is my first time to use drawing tablet. Or maybe do you have any recommendation drawing tablet for a beginner? Sorry for my bad english by the way.
Yes, you can use it for 3D sculpting, and I used it for that purpose. For 3D sculpting it is even less important what kind of graphic tablet you have
@@Tech-Guy thank you so much sir
Show some models please
Sorry I forgot the very thing I came on here to do. I am in no way linked with Huion and I love their tablets but here is the fix for almost every problem with their drivers. WACOM, wacom software infests your computer, it puts it's self in places you wouldn't imagine and has no right too. Befor you even connect up your Huion every trace of WACOM needs to be removed, then everything goes in very fast and everything works great. You simply wont believe how good these tablets are. There are some tools online that help you to remove Wacom completely from your hard drive, they are free and they work. This tablet has over 8ooo levels of pressure that I just paid £450 for when I bought a Wacom Pro medium to add to my studio tools because I wanted the "touch" features so I could have bought 9 {nine} of these. Try a Huion and you wont look back
Huion is the best
I'm using the Huion Q11K . In Zbrush I notice that while using the keyboard hot keys, simple things like "S" for sizing brush will get stuck and the cursor on screen will shoot the size all the way to down to 1. Several times I noticed the hot keys getting stuck and not keeping up or switching when needed. Have you noticed anything like this with this model?
That sounds bad, but I did not have anything like that with this tablet. I am using 4R8
Yeah it was enough to stop using the Huion. Very sad, I was really liking it.I am also on 4R8. I was thinking of trying out the H950P. I need at least a medium size for my 27" monitor. Thanks for the review.
can i use this for teaching purposes? like writing 😊
Yes
What should I get for a starter the Huion h420 or this one (huion h640p)
Did you get anything?
Huion H640P, H420 is so small it will destroy your wrist
@@tommorrison602 I have the huion 420 and it was far too small for me. I just bought a new h640p today and I am now waiting for the package to come
i have a problem after pen tablet is plugged in my laptop. pen does not run like a mouse on the desktop but runs when I open the application manga studio, SAI, Photosop and others. do you know the problem? * sorry bad english
Marliani ani Wht do you need to use it as a mouse?
Raida Draws
yes..i need to draw and as a mouse. but that only works in the graphics app only..my OS is windows 7 starter
I think that itself is pretty convenient.
u cant expect that much from 50 dollars especiallly something its not expected to do just get a mouse u can find cheap ones
Get windows 10 the issue will be fixed
Can u connect the tab to a work station screen?? Pls i need a tab and this one fits the budget
Screen? You mean to USB port of the screen? Yes, as long as there is a USB port of the screen is connected to the computer. That port on screen is not meant for high power devices usually, so don't connect this tablet, an external HDD and charge a phone at the same time from the monitor. You can use it on any Windows 10 device, whether it is a desktop, laptop or tablet
I'm so confused whether to buy this or the Huion Inspiroy q11k. Somebody please just punch some reason into me and tell me which is better because I'm slowly getting mentally insane
I'd always get the tablet with a stylus that does not require charging or AAAA battery, so H640P would be my choice rather than q11k, although you'd never know which is better unless you had both side by side to test
@@Tech-Guy oh so the q11k needs a battery? I thought it just worked off the laptop's. Thank you!!
The tablet itself doesn't require batteries but the stylus does. For H640P it doesn't.
I only want to know , do we need a computer to open this tablet can't I open it without a computer and what is the importance of the buttons ? Please please please 🙏 reply
You need Windows of Mac computer. Side buttons are for any functionality - for example, I assign Ctrl and Shift buttons there, M and B keys
What’s the name of that software you’re using at 3:29?
It says "Mischief" on the top left corner. Search for that on Google.
i am a beginner artist i have only bin sketching for 2 months know on pencil paper and i think i wanna start with digital art it sounds fun plus i love making funny comics.i think this would do nice for a beginner tablet plus i poor af. i only 13.
It sure it a nice tablet. 20 years ago when this technology was in rather primitive state artist were still able to create great things. When I was 13 the computers still had 16 colors and no drawing technology was available. Good luck
@@Tech-Guy wow thanks ok
i tried this tablet in my friends house and HOLY crap it took me 2 min the get used to it
It is good or bad?
@@vano4557 i was gonna ask the same thing.
@@theuglyorange2264 looks like we'll never know
@@Mr5lapp oh well
@@vano4557 It's good. Most people take weeks to get used to it but hopefully, you'll master it soon!! It just took me 2 days to master it tho lol
I'm new to digital art . I'm thinking of buying pen tablet . I want to buy an affordable ( cheap) one for practice, so I'm confused between Wacom One CTL 472 or Huion H640P , which one should I buy??
I have not used the Wacom One so I am not able to recommend one or the other, but from the specs I see that Wacom One does not have any buttons on it so you will need to use keyboard in the other hand. Maybe someone else seeing this video will have first hand experience with Wacom One to add to this
If you bought huion, can you say how is it? I also wanna buy it, and it will be my first tablet, so I little nervous about my choice
Did you notice ghost lines? I used to have the original huion h610, the first one that released years ago and it made little lines and dots when I hovered the pen. Does this table still have that issue?
Also, how does the non-battery pen works? Does it really function without batteries?
And last, would you recommend this one for digital painting and zbrush?
There were no "ghost lines". I know that wacom's stylus workes with electromagnetic resonance, but this one also has some kind of induction. It is probably something similar as wireless phone chargers work... so the tablet induces current in the stylus that is enough for it to respond on what is the current pressure applied. That is my guess. The important is that it works and that is a huge change from my Dell stylus that would drain battery in my backpack if the tip is touching anything.
I used it in ZBrush and it worked well. In the next days I will do more ZBrush sculpting and report on the comfort, and will probably post a timelapse video of whatever I am working on. Unfortunately my HP Spectre x360 died and I have a Clip Studio Paint license on it, so I could not test it in that one (the one I am most comfortable with).
Tech Guy Thanks!
Have you encountered any driver problem while using this brand? I have an Ugee m708 and since very start is giving me driver problems like uninstalling by itself or no pressure sensibility at all all of a sudden while drawing. I was looking for a huion model and I need to search which is best for me.
Thanks in advance
I did not have the issues you describe with this one, but I had a problem with a wacom tablet like that. Uninstall the driver, and in device manager under HID uninstall all other tablet and touch drivers, and then reinstall the tablet driver. As for turning off, make sure you don't plug the tablet into a usb hub but directly into a computer (preferably on the back). This one seems like different technology than the one you have.
Does this tablet have a textured paper-like screen? I've desperately been wanting to start drawing on a proper tablet with a textured screen instead of my ipad which isn't textured.
It is not textured like paper, but it is not slippery as ipad's glass. You can use any surface on top of this tablet, so you can tape a sheet of paper and it will work, but textured surface will wear the pen nibs faster.
@@Tech-Guy oh I see. Thank you!
What is a good tablet to connect this to if I don’t have an android phone ??
This is not for android phones
I am thinking to buy this,But im afraid that it will be broken after 3-5 weeks because in online official shop someone said in review "Its so fast to be broken".I dont want to waste money because I worked hard on it any tips for the huion not to be broken easily?..
They are tough little tablets, I used for years but dont worry, Huion is a great company and they will sort anything out
I've had this since March of this year and I can say that there hasn't been any problems with the tablet. Make sure not to drop the pen especially. Just keep updating the driver as well :)
Does it support MedibangPro or Krita?
it acctualy does support krita and more
I've got a h950p,my problem is I'm not able to find the cursor while hovering the pen or even while drawing.Ive installed the drivers, but still no use. Please someone help me to solve this issue
Is it even when you are hovering over other programs or just drawing software? Check your Caps Lock key, turning it on changes your Brush cursor from displaying brush size to displaying the crosshair
@@Tech-Guy Not working,I can't find the cursor ,but the pen is reacting to the touch and hovering
@@pokemonmaster6430 solved?
@@hereinbrasil yes..The problem occurred for me because I connected two pointing device at the same time..,mouse and the tablet itself. The system was taking information from the mouse..so I unplugged it... now it works fine
@@pokemonmaster6430 thank you! I'm searching a good cost-benefit tablet and incline to buy Huion instead of the more expensive Wacom.
would this work with an Acer Chromebook?
It does say it is compatible with Android and I have heard that chromebooks can run Android apps but honestly I have no idea. I suggest selling the chromebook and getting a Windows laptop so you are not limiting your options in the future.
i like ur accent
could we have a small size, good quality handwriting with this tablet?
Yes. My letters are very small. And Windows has handwriting recognition keyboard built in for text input... or if you write in OneNote you can have it extract text from the handwriting or simply Ctrl+E search for all notebooks including handwriting text
Good old pencil and paper.
Does it work with Photoshop?
Yes, I use it occasionally in Photoshop.
what is the oc working area and Android area
pc*
Does this tablet work with firealpaca?
I have not heard about the software before but it looks cool, and from looking at their site I believe it should work. This tablet uses Windows built in tablet support so it should work with anything. All random drawing software I tried with it worked
@@Tech-Guy Alright, Thank you! ^^
How long does this tablet last?
Mine is still working after 3 years. It should last, just plug them in directly into a computer, don't go through USB hubs or damaged cables, or USB extension cords.
is this durable??
I suggest going over reviews on shopping sites like Amazon. Mine is still working but I am not using it much so this is not a good predictor of how durable this device is.
Pen is battery free yet has buttons?
Yes, wacom styluses are the also battery-free and with buttons. Surface styluses have AAAA battery
@@Tech-Guy But how do the buttons work?

does it have a bluetooth?
Not this one
Do they license the wacom technology or use a different one?
I would say that they are using different technology. I don't see that Wacom has 8192 levels of pressure on a small tablet; their latest small Pro has 2048 levels for $250.
Then hopefully they'll partner with a phone company in order to bring more cost effective galaxy note type phones on the market.
The tablet is 10mm thick, so I doubt the necessary components would fit into the phone that also has to pack screen and battery in the same thickness, but it is definitely nice to have some competition and more companies working with these. I think the biggest issues are wide patents that prevent other companies working on anything remotely similar without fear of being sued and wasting time and resources on development and still needing to pay license fees.
Wacom somehow did get their digitizers into Galaxy Note phones, so hopefully Huion finds a way too.
Agree with you on the patent issue.
I have this shit , yes it's pretty good , but why I'm calling it shit ? , because instead of circle that draws fucking ovals
