  • The F100 Crown Vic P71 "F71" reaches the next phase.
    This is the swapping of an 08 Crown Vic frame under a 71 F100 while keeping the F100 floor & firewall unlike the last swap where I used the Crown Vic floor & firewall.

    I like how you are taking your time a little more this go around. That's how hot rods really turn out good. Alittle advice to you is to throw a coat of POR15 on the frame before you mount the cab. Makes your creation last alot longer.

    Stumbled across your channel and I have to say I love what you are doing. I have always thought of an F100 companion for my Square body. This CV swap seems like a really cool way to end up with all the modern parts fast and cheap. Keep it up!

    You rock, man.. These videos are GREAT. I'm about to swap a '41 ford onto an '03 Vic... At least that's the plan. :)

      Eric Solvesky a 41! Wow. Seriously jealous.

      Yeah, it's narrower than the Vic, so it might require some sheet metal work... Unless it's easier to narrow the frame where needed. Won't know until I get there. I'm in the stripping process of the Vic right now. How many of these swaps have you done?

      I'm just finishing my second swap. If the sill & A pillar width are the same as, I think the early 50's trucks you should be good. There's a build on here with a guy putting a 53-ish F100 on a Vic & there's about 3mm clearance.

      In your experience, is there anything in the instrument cluster that is required for the computer to function properly? I know some vehicles require input from the speedometer.

    Great videos. I am working on a 08 crown with a 58 f100. The wiring has been my block, so I am anxious to see how you meld the cab complete to crown wiring monstrosity. Thanks for doing this. Mark

    Similar to my pas f100 which I got the keys to and really interested in this project shopping for a Vic haven't seen any with body damage to score on....

    Great work! It amazes me that you are able to pull this off in a So Cal residential area. You must have some pretty cool neighbors. Do you ever get neighbor complaints about what you are doing? Well done. . .

      I'm blessed with angels for neighbors! We do help each other out with stuff though.

    Instead of trimming the body mount down, why not open up the hole in the frame? That way if you have to replace the body mounts later, you don't need to trim them down. Just a thought. BTW, how do your neighbors like your projects? Mine keep calling the cops on me. lol

      I have the most amazing neighbors! I keep the noise as low as I can just between 9-5 & we're on a corner so not directly next to anyone. Yeah, I hear what you're saying on the mounts. I'll see ow it looks when I drop the cab on.

    Hey Nathan I'm doing a very similar project to this and I have a few questions, is there any way to get ahold of you via email?

    • @NathansGarage
      @NathansGarage  8 лет назад

      People usually PM me on here for build questions. I want to keep all truck questions on here instead of my email so I have it all in one place.
