    Great video. I purchased a 23 X3 XRS Turbo RR, and haven’t looked back. My buddy has a Pro R and is constantly down for maintenance. 750 hard miles on my X3 and she just wants more!!

    This is a sick video! Personally I’d always go with the better option from the factory and that’s why I got the 2022 X3 XRS, but it’s cool to see a comparison! One tip as someone who watches a ton of comparison videos is maybe go a little lighter on the editing with side to side shots? You’re obviously super good at editing and transitions so I’m sure it’s very easy to do a little too much. But otherwise sick video! I came across this on my discover page and subbed 15 seconds into watching this.

      Thank for jumping in and yes I totally overdid it on this one 😂 so much of it is the soundtrack that makes me go ham. I love my XRS and I plan on running it for years to come.

    For the money, the base max would be my choice. The beauty of these machines is that parts are interchangeable and are upgradeable.

    This is a great comparison. It seams like with social media and message boards that everyone is obsessed with having the best specs on paper. But how much real-world difference is there for that extra thousands of dollars?

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  2 года назад

      Exactly. I was one of those and it becomes apparent that there isnt a lack of fun. I love my XRS and I’ve spent a lot to ensure I have it for years. Regular maintenance, frame strengthening, and upgrading any part that does break.

    I love this video for a bunch of different reasons that will spare everyone with. I own a 2023 Max RS Turbo RR 72. My dad owns the 64 onch wide version. Both are extremely impressive. they really are so similar it comes down really to the suspension if comparing both Versions stock for stock. we primarily ride on the trails of Arizona, which are hard pack and rocky with mostly quad trails and jeep trails. To state the obvious, the main limitation of the 64-inch wide version really is its ride height and how quickly you run out of suspension travel. meaning The 72-inch version rolls over larger bumps with ease, whereas you may consider slowing down in the 64 so as not to bottom out. On hill climbs and decents, the 64 does drag its belly a lot. So far, the 72-inch version has not drug on anything yet. The argument really was suze and the concern for not fitting on/in tight trails. So far, I have gone everywhere with ease. I do not regret my decision to go for the wider wheel base version with more suspension travel. I feel it gives you more options and rolls over obstacles much easier.
    So, in a nut shell, it boils down to personal preference. As an owner of the 72, I have zero regrets. It blows my mind at what these things can do and how easily they do them.

    Another thing worth mentioning is the massive difference in shock quality and tuning. QS3 shocks are hot garbage compared to the internal bypass RC2s.

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  2 года назад +2

      I think what’s crazy is how well the base machine does without any bells and whistles. Pretty impressive really

    • @snowrulesnate
      @snowrulesnate Год назад +1

      I’ve had both, I purposely went with QS3 shocks and all the hp. Not a big enough difference to justify the $$$ for my riding on trails and occasional dunes.

    What is the actual measurement of the tire height with a tape measure? Alot of tires aren't the height they're labled at. Typically a 35 is 34.8 or sometimes even worse or sometimes a 33 is actually 33.5. Just curious

    • @sxsoffroad

    You should know that in power comparison only valid terms are turbo, turbo r or turbo rr. Rs/base/xds have nothing to do with power. Great video anyways.

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  2 года назад

      The base turbo came with 120 the xrs 172

    • @tomsnara
      @tomsnara 2 года назад

      That’s correct. But in the video you’re saying that xds is tune up higher where x stands only for a trim package. Turbo r or rr is tuned higher then base/turbo

      @@tomsnara yes I did say that. Sorry, that would be me speaking fast off the cuff. The reference was intended to be for HP comparison after that upgrade.

      Do you have an example of video creator style you like? The Whalen is 7k, worth it? Maybe… the XRS is running a stage 3 tune, 3” exhaust and ibex stage 3… I don’t feel that I need any more power. BTW- the title worked didn’t it?
