A good point made by OFP2 and skitzo chik in comments, so a little reminder, laurel when cut and especially when broken up by hedge trimmer ect, gives off dangerous gas CYANIDE, if your transporting it, you must have ventilation, laurel is on the uk dangerous plant list.
@@jasongardener3425 yep i ddnt believe you when i first heard you talk about it & did some homework (wish doing it was this interesting in school ugh) but i was shocked at how little it can take to actually kill ya, so caution caution caution is best best best.
Great video Jason, your spot on with the slow, precise & methodical process. They'll look fantastic in a short while. I nearly had a horrible experience with Laurel a few years back - so learnt my lesson 👍
Never seen pleached cherry laurel before, would have thought its too coarse a shrub with its thick stems, probably the Portuguese laurel would have been a better shrub to use. However time will tell , tidy job as usual. 👍
Nice job sit. I've tried a few times to work pleched trees into new gardens or schemes but never have a uptake. I might have been tempted to put a handful of feed down after the trim too. Did you ever see the large string of limes i look after?
tidy sympathetic prune Jason promoting growth where needed. is it the same principle as a standard ?. good tip with the dumpy bag hanging on the steps. take it easy mate.
Thanks goerdie mate, similar pruning, but pleached is flat basically and mostly a row joined together, really only difference. Keep warm on them walks mate 👍
Hi Jason nice job 👍how long did that take doing it like that? Has it got a frame inside did you say couldn't see properly. Hope you keeping busye. Look forward to the next video 👍
Great video Jason. I have a decision to make this week on what pleached evergreen I put in my garden. What are your thoughts on pleached Evergreen Oak?

No way, I never knew this...I’ve shredded loads the past 6 months...and put it on the compost heap...or back on the borders..

Nice!

Hi Jason, Just wondering do you always run your 6.5hp chipper at full throttle? Mine arrived yesterday :)
Hi, full throttle mate, happy chipping 👍
Some expensive bushes for sure.
Where do you get the small dumpy bags from? Any advice on which are the strongest? Cheers
Thanks mate, amazon, search, mini bulk bags, 500mmx 500mm really strong 👍
Lovely job again Jason.
Would you prune these twice a year or more often?
Thanks Alan, I quoted to do it 3x this year, so 2 more now, but if I feel a extra prune is needed, I will do it.
👍👍👍

Yes, good point 👌, was going to say on video, but forgot lol.
