@@squid2638 EA hired 4 other simmers to build 12 of the official lots in Snowy Escape. If they could make it look good while following EA's restrictions, then Ms. Gryphi could as well. :)
@@squid2638 Well, she can use MOO on landscaping; the dev teams have done that since the beginning. (I can attest to this in starters from Willow Creek and builds in Magnolia Promenade, which is from Get to Work.) And Tonya's builds are pretty small. Without the Red Shelf, she can't clutter as much so I think she'd fit fine within their other restrictions. It just won't look as natural, admittedly. Her main issue would be barring her from using other packs and from the debug menu, which, I'll agree would be less fancy. I still think it'd look great though. :)
On the one hand I want that big cluster of potted plants to be separated at some point, but on the other I just noticed it's only 90 simoleons. Which for something that has so many pots and plants, is very helpful for clutter on a budget. (and the arrangement of the plants themselves isn't half bad either) This may be the one time I sorta like the pre grouped item in a pack...
Super cute! But the genkan is supposed to cover the whole front entry so you don't walk on the floors at all with your shoes. 😅 It's cool if that was purposeful, just wanted to point it out since it seemed like you were trying to be accurate.
I intended for it to be that way but was struggling with understanding platforms and this is what I came up with. Watching it back I am not sure why I was struggling to bad haha - but yes I am aware :)

I was watching someone else's speed build and they mentioned the foundations kind of messed with the split leveling inside, I can't remember exactly but I think the foundations needed to be done after the split leveling? Either way I'm sure you'll have it figured out once the update comes out, cant wait to see you build more tiny houses with it! 😊

I am so delighted I don’t have to use half walls on the roofs anymore to create a modern build look. I love that we can have different heights of the platforms too. I cannot WAIT to build with those platforms.
I noticed this in your other video, but generally you don't have to go through the bathing room to access the toilet...the whole point of the rooms being separate is that they're simultaneously usable. So you'd have your sink room, and then two distinct entrances off it to both the toilet room and the bathing room. You shouldn't have to go through the bathing area to reach the toilet; it should be accessible without disturbing the person bathing. Does that make sense?
This build is really pretty :) it's also great to finally hear someone call it a genkan! I feel like that's one of the first words I learned back when I took Japanese classes 😄
You're supposed to have the genkan at the door so you step into it on entry, not by the door where you wouldn't walk. The purpose of a genkan is to allow you to enter from the elements without tracking dirt and mud into the house. By taking your shoes of inside a lower platform, you're able to prevent dirt from being tracked inside, keeping the floors cleaner for longer and making dirt trapped in the genkan easy to sweep out by having it at the level as the doorway. As you've designed it here, its not doing its job. They are always attached to the doorway itself, never to the side of it. As is, it might as well not even be there. You understand that genkans exist, but not why they exist.
I understand why they exist yes. I was just having fun here building with the new items that came with this pack that was focused on japan. I wasn't trying to make it 100% accurate to real life - just having fun building.

Yep platforms are a free update for everyone, so is the sim profile/sentiments system (although some of the individual sentiments are exclusive to the pack).
Are there any empty lots at all in the world to build on? My builds are sub-par compared to the simmers who actually built these lots, so I'd feel bad demolishing the homes they created. But I still do want to create my own builds here lol, I just don't want to have to remove any of the builds in order to do so! I'd feel bad!!

Not sure! I had an early copy of the game with only Snowy Escape and Base Game so I'm not sure how it works with Tiny Living.
