Hi Game Night team ! I hope you are all keeping well. I know others have been commenting on the same thing but... AMAZING to see Nikki explaining the game ! I've been watching a lot of your videos and this is the 1st I see like this. She definitely should do it more often. Warm hugs from Ireland.
Great video series overall! You folks are a very appropriate group for pacing and interpersonal dynamics, humor, etc. I love the standard introduction to all your videos, including the consistent beginning when you are at the table and someone says, "[person]?" "Yes?" "Will you teach us [game]?" "Sure." It's great that you have multiple cameras as well as excellent sound and lighting. Also, great job on this one, Nikki!
Guys, is there any way to get Game Night as a separate channel? I'm subbed for you, but the channel is absolutely flooding my feed with short 5 minute videos, which frankly I don't think are very good. Big fan of Game Night, I'll look forward to more (because I've run out now!)
Great vid, thanks! I ordered it as soon as I could find a copy and it just arrived today! 6 (close) games later with the group it was a hit! Simple to learn, strategy and puzzle elements and plays quick. Super fun game :)
Karuba is a village in Nord-Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. In September and October 2007, it was the scene of fighting between the forces of rebel general Laurent Nkunda and the army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Congolese army claimed to be in control of Karuba as of October 10, 2007.
At 28:38, why did Lincoln move his blue explorer to towards the purple temple? If he had moved it towards the blue temple, he would have had all his explorers made it to their respective temples. It's like he chose to not make that move on purpose. Like, he decided to surrender the winning move. Any thoughts as to why?
it's a fun game, I brought it back from Essen. Was great to bump in to you there Linc. I've found Karuba is great fun with casual gamers, serious gamers enjoy it too, but I think they try and strategise too much and get stressed out, its quite funny to watch!
Thanks for the playthrough! Really wanted to see this in action as I was worried it'd be strangely solitaire for a family game but it looks like great fun
In your liveplay marathon a couple of weeks ago you guys played a game called Between two cities and one of you (I think it was Lincon) said "we should play this on Game Night. Will thar happen? Good job in teaching the game Nikki
A similar selection and placement mechanism is used in Don Quixote, using fewer tiles. We like it for the quick fix of this play style but it is definitely less complex. Just mentioning one of those hidden gems in my collection. :D
Wouldn't be fair for the leader of the game if she/he also have had hers/his tiles face up and just drow the numbers from other game maybe (nubered card, tiles, etc.). In this way the leader of the game will know like the others what tiles are left.
Love your reviews and now go to you guys first.Watched this and Cacao and trying to decide which to get. Of these two games, which did you enjoy most and has more longterm playability? Thanks you guys for great reviews. Games you review are more what i like playing.
Looks fun! Reminds me a bit of Streetcar. I think I still prefer it over this since there is a little more player interaction but I'll have to give it a try some time.
I would play this with a random number generator, otherwise Nikki can't really see what pieces are left at the end. Anyone want to make a nice app too? :)
Nikki teaching the game? AWESOME!!! Very very nice! Btw, cool game!
Well, this is my first time finding a video where Nikki is teaching! Very neat, clean and clear!

The game play reminds me of "Bingo" except that Karuba seems actually fun. I suppose if you bought another copy you could play up to 8?

I am so glad Nikki got to lead a game. She did awesome! :D Love seeing Lincoln and Aaron so excited :) Great Dr. Who shirt Lincoln :D
That was fun to watch! You guys get along a lot better than my gaming group! Cheers!

I really enjoyed the video. Looks like a great game - and your gaming group is to be envied. :)

I can't wait to play this game !!! just got it today and you explained the rules so fast and simple love your videos please make more like these
Loved the final scoring surprise turn around! This was a fun video to watch.
Nikki P. taking the lead, I've been waiting for this.
Love that Nikki taught the game!
Great episode. I was already looking at this game but during watching this video i just order it :D
Would it have been worth less points for Lincoln to have his blue guy escape on the last move? 28:35?

Just ordered today. Looks like a lot of fun
Love you guys! Thanks for another great video!
Great game and video!
Would think a draw bag with poker chips 1-36 would be much better.
Will mod my version when it arrives.

Awesome episode! Thanks guys!!

Good job in teaching the game Nikki
+Patrik Brodén It is going to happen. I really love that game as well.
+Lincoln Damerst I agree Lincoln. it's one of my favorite games of last year, at least that I have played.

I would like to see you four have another play of this game. With everybody knowing the game better, you might get that three-way tie.
This was awesome.
Thanks for making this.
Do you take suggestions for games? If so, play Salem by facade games!!! It'll be great for you guys.
Love your reviews and now go to you guys first.Watched this and Cacao and trying to decide which to get. Of these two games, which did you enjoy most and has more longterm playability? Thanks you guys for great reviews. Games you review are more what i like playing.
Reminded me of Bingo the way she had to call out the numbers ; )
Dave and Lincoln should have tied because Lincoln picked up a crystal on that last turn he took back.
woot Nikki finally gets to teach one
FYI. Fun fact. Karuba is the name of two towns. One it's in Estonia. The other one it's in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Looks fun! Reminds me a bit of Streetcar. I think I still prefer it over this since there is a little more player interaction but I'll have to give it a try some time.
Another game I will have to pick up someday.
Nikki getting bullied throughout the teaching was my fav part XDXD
Kind of surprised the tiles aren't being pulled out of a bag.
TheMrE potential for karuba 2.
Good job Nikki, but to much explaining at the end but I like to watch to the end tks guys
Is there an alternate rule where every player draws their own random tile each turn?
Anthony Birdsong no it doesn't include it in the rule book but I'm sure you can make something up
thanks guys

So you guys should try to play World of Yo-Ho. don't know how well it would work on the show though.
Has Lincoln ever lead a game? That would be cool if he hasnt
+DrewDrew 02 Well, I'm not sure of all that I have taught, but I know I've done a few of the KdJ game nominees, so not so cool.
What if everybody just copied the first player?
Lincoln sacrificed the win at 28:38.
