The 2023 Midwest Old Threshers Reunion. Threshing, Sawing, and More!

Every Labor Day weekend, the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion is hosted in Mount Pleasant Iowa. They have been having the show since 1950. It is an exciting and entertaining event to attend. It is also great for getting the younger generations involved in America’s history.
I like to post these videos to entertain and teach younger generations about mainly the power that once was steam. I have been coming to the show since I was a kid. My dad built two half scale models. A Russell and an Advance seen in the video. My oldest uncle built a half size sawmill that we have sawed many logs on over the years. The half scale Advance Rumely was built by another one of my uncles.
We have had much fun over the years, especially at Midwest Old Threshers and I strongly believe that people know and understand these things and the way that machines used to work in the United States.
