- Why did Streamer CodeMiko choose the song "Immortal" for her stream?
I dive deep into the lyrics and meaning behind Code Miko's starting soon/intro song. I explain what I think could be the reasons why the Technician chose this song to represent Code Miko.
I also explore the inspiration and intentions of original artist MARINA (Marina Diamandis) were for the song and compare that with my research on my interpretation of why the Technician chose this song.

I'm only about 10 days into the CodeMiko world and I think she's immensely talented and extremely entertaining. I don't do Twitch, nor for the matter any other media platform, I just do RUclips and I can honestly say (over many years), I've not seen any channel that comes remotely close to how unique CodeMiko is.
She's a real Class Act. She's destined to be an across the board internet Giant (if she isn't already).

In comparison to all the stupid bathtub streams this is just awesome and really interesting. I think the technician set a trend for the future, even I would stream with an overlay like this. But the intro is much more deep than u think. People who watched her therapy session know what I mean.

great interpretation, I also think part of the end goal is to have Miko be an autonomous entity with AI so she really does become immortal.

im conflicted because I love code miko and marina since day 1 but, I can help but feel bad... I think Marina needs more props for her songs.
She definitely needs more props, but a lot of people (like myself) found her music through Code Miko, so maybe that's a good thing

Lol, indeed. If you had to compile all of the lore that she's revealed over the years it would be sooo extensive. That'd be a feat lol.
I'm not sure it's that deep per se. But it is a good song. She just recently revealed the whole Drum and Bass track she plays (including other songs in her intro). I'm guessing that she was looking for drum and bass music for the intro and came across this video mix of songs. (Notice the other songs that are on her intro after Everybody Dies) It's from 2017, so it's been around for a bit.

I agree with you on everything. I am a retired pc/network technician who also was involved with the building of the Space Shuttle before it’s first flight. Technician has done something rather remarkable that all these tech giants have not been able to do: Miko is the first human AI that acts like a human in every way. You see her more as a human than a CGI creation. While Miko can be totally off the wall, she quite often breaks character and a very real person comes through. Miko is Technician’s instrument, her way of interacting with others in much the same way a guitarist expresses themselves using the instrument to convey their feelings. Technician has broken that barrier perhaps underestimating the actual impact that Miko is making on the way we mortals see AI as a real entity. It is not an impossible concept to see a future where the essence of a biological human is transplanted into AI and cheating death as we know it. I am totally fascinated with Miko and Technician.
That's awesome you were involved in building space shuttles. Do you mean the first one that ever lifted off or more modern ones?

@@EdVenturesVlog I worked for Rockwell International and yes, it was before the first Shuttle went up. we built multilayer circuit boards for the Shuttle, the B1-B, MX missile, F16 HUD, Trident subs, etc.
Rockwell was the prime defense contractor for all of these vehicles. I would become the only non degreed engineer working for Rockwell due to my knack for problem solving. This is where I relate to Technician. I used visualization skills to troubleshoot how the boards moved through the production process resolving bottlenecks, workflow, material handling, etc. At the time, the shuttle employed a very thin substrate called polyimide which is a material that can handle extreme heat temperatures. Where common circuit boards have a fiberglass core, fiberglass would never handle the heat levels the Shuttle would face on re-entry. Each circuit layer was so thin it would bend and flex like a piece of tissue paper. Most of the circuit layers would get destroyed in production. The chemicals used in etching the copper away on each side of the layer were sprayed on and the sprays would blow holes through the exposed core material. I solved that problem and it was a breakthrough achievement, Rockwell bought me a brand new car as a reward!! Funny thing was, I was once the custodian working there at night. I was fascinated with the technology and would stop at each process while emptying trash cans and sweeping floors and talked with the operators. I could see how to make the equipment work better. (Some of the machines came from North American Aviation and were used during WW2 to build the P-51 Mustang.!!! , ) Anyway, the finished boards could have from 4 to 16 circuit layers laminated together creating a nearly indestructible circuit.
Visualization is a rare talent. Not everyone has that skill, Youno has it. She uses visualization to create Miko. I was only 28 years old at the time. I downplayed my achievements because I thought they were blowing sunshine up my butt as an example to others. However Rockwell was very happy with me. I hope Youna (Youno?) realizes she is unique amongst her peers. I fear her own achievement might be lost on her. Being able to deal with success in a useful way can be a challenge. There will be many others soon following Miko, nothing acknowledges success like being mimicked by others. I am old enough to be Youna’s grandfather and unfortunately we boomers are often ignored, made fun of, called old perverts for simply admiring a young person’s intelligence. But thanks for allowing me to reminisce. I enjoy the memory of my younger days.
@@brianmann01 That sounds like an awesome achievement and you should definitely be proud of the role you played. I am fascinated with space travel myself. Yeah, it's interesting to see when people create something new and break new ground and to imagine what the future will hold.
I wonder how she was able to use this song on twitch. Does she have the license right?
There are workarounds for this since the remix is considered a transformational work under fair use law and the remix is licensed under a creative commons non-commercial attribution license, so she can use it as long as she does not profit directly from the song itself I believe. She may not have gotten permission but technically doesn't need it, I believe. I'm not a lawyer but I've been researching fair use law for my own purposes lol.

Sorry but, the reason people like the intro is because the character model is attractive. The song is written by marina and the diamonds, the lyrics only mean anything to marina, technician just decided to use a cool remix. This is total bs.
You're absolutely entitled to your opinion. I personally like the intro mostly because of the music, but to me the visuals TV certainly intriguing too. I actually listen to the song often when I run or when I'm doing other things like working on projects.
And also, this video is intended to be my interpretation of imagining why the Technician would have chosen this song and was just a lot of fun to write and produce for me. The point is I don't know the answer, but it's fun to interpret the lyrics through this lens and since I hadn't found anyone else interpreting the remix through the Code Miko lens I thought I'd make my thoughts into a video! :)
