Ocean Base Zone is an underwater base in Sonic Advance 3 that can get confusing if you intend to rush your way through the zone blindly. The zone features polluted water and waterfalls that work similarly to the sand falls of Sandopolis Zone that Sonic can ascend to get to higher areas.
Other obstacles include giant crushers some of which will sprout spikes a short while after you land upon them and spike pits. Gimmicks here include giant fan propellers that slowly rise as you jump upon them, similar in appearance to a smaller gimmick in Sky Canyon, Sonic Advance 2. Conveyor belts, and rails that sometimes offer an alternative path to underwater routes.

sonic advance 3 has a lot of cheapshots and the only way to build speed in a millisecond is to jump so your character can shoot themselves to space

One thing I really like about this game is that it’s doesn’t slow your momentum whenever you jump unlike most 2D Sonics and especially the boost games.

Just play through the game, bro. You'll unlock all of the characters eventually.

@@markthefox9127 you use the R Burton to use tag action. The combination you use varies which characters you're currently playing with.

@@markthefox9127 nice, use the R button in combination with the dpad buttons to do a variety of tag actions. If you hold the R button for a while and release it, Sonic will bounce of Tails back. You can reach higher places with that trick.
